I dug up from the UWF archives a massive brawl that ended an episode of Saturday Night Rampage, dating back about eight years ago. This brawl took place during the ongoing Marshall Law angle, and this massive brawl was the peak of the angle, showing just how chaotic things had become.

Three of us worked on individual parts of the brawl, then blended them together.

Figured it would be fun to re-visit this, so here it is. I'll chime in with my own thoughts later on.

=================

[Ryu and Erik Grimsson lock up, and Ryu takes Erik into a headlock. Erik lifts up Ryu for an atomic drop, but Ryu flips over Erik. Erik turns around to be greeted by a standing dropkick from Ryu, who follows up with an elbow. Ryu picks up Erik and whips him to the ropes, but Erik reverses the whip, and charges in, nailing Ryu with a shoulder in the turnbuckle. Erik grabs Ryu in an armbar and tags in Chad, who picks up Ryu for a bodyslam.]

SS: Man, this sucks! Of all the people Michael Bonn could team with- Scott Daniels, Derek Martin, anyone... why is he stuck with THIS guy?

DR: Ryu Osawa is a former LEW Albuquerque champion, Sam.

SS: Yeah, yeah... that and $7.50 can get you some coffee from Starbucks.

[Chad picks up Ryu and hammers down on his shoulder. Ryu kicks Chad in the stomach, doubling him over, then grabs Chad and runs up the turnbuckles for a tornado DDT! As Chad recovers, Ryu tags out to Michael Bonn, who scowls at his partner before entering the ring and raking Chad's face. Bonn follows up with a spinkick, then grabs Chad's hair and yanks him to the mat, where he stomps on him.]

AM: Michael Bonn enters the ring and the whole tone of the match changes.

SS: Yeah... ain't it great?

AM: No.

[Bonn picks up Chad and delivers a forearm shot to the face, drawing a shot in response by Chad. Grimsson shoves Bonn into the ropes and delivers a hotshot on the rebound, then tags in Erik. Chad holds down Bonn as Erik leaps off and elbows Bonn in the sternum.]

DR: Erik firing off shots at Bonn... he rebounds off the ropes... atomic drop by Bonn! And Bonn whips Erik to his corner and tags in Ryu!

[Ryu enters the ring, and both men grab an arm. They fire Erik back into the corner, then whip Erik into the ropes. On the rebound, Bonn leapfrogs Erik, and as Erik ducks underneath, Ryu catches him with a high knee. Ryu covers for a one count.]

AM: Some actual teamwork by the cruiserweights. Ryu with an elbowdrop... missed! And Erik grabs Ryu's leg and tags in Chad.

DR: Now some teamwork by the Sons of Cacophony. Erik holds down Ryu's legs as Chad splashes him.

SS: And look who's decided to get a good view.

[The crowd boos as Alison Ivey and the Privateers make their way ringside. Erik Grimsson glares as they make their way towards ringside, while Chad drives Ryu into the corner. The referee, Jim Junas, yells at the Privateers to get back to the locker room, but they ignore the referee.]

AM: They can't do that! Junas is trying to call a fair match, and that's not going to happen with the Drakes down at ringside.

SS: Marshall Law, Red. What's Junas going to do?

[Chad misses a charge, and Ryu starts chopping Chad against the corner. He grabs Chad for a Diamond Cutter, but Chad shoves him off. As Ryu gets back to his feet, Chad Grimsson launches himself and clothesline the much smaller Ryu. As Chad hits the ropes on the rebound...]

DR: Edward Drake just tripped up Chad! The referee is again hollering to throw them out, and again they are ignoring him!

[Chad rolls out of the ring and starts yelling at Edward Drake, which gives Jacob Drake a chance to attack Chad from behind! Before Jacob can fire off another shot, Erik Grimmson leaps off the corner and nails him with a double axe handle. The referee calls for the bell.]

DR: Well, it's a disqualification for the Sons of Cacophony. I'm sure they didn't want to win this way, but the Youngbloods aren't paying any attention...

[DING DI...]

AM: What the hell? Alison Ivey just stole the ring bell!

[She enters the ring as Junas is hollering at her. Ivey shrugs and blasts Junas with the ring bell, sending him out of the ring. The Drakes and Grimmsons continue to brawl, with Chad and Edward rolling into the ring. Ivey hands the ring bell to Jacob Drake, who grins as he readies to hit Erik Grimsson with the bell. Drake's attack is interrupted by a flying Ryu Osawa, who launches himself out of the ring and nails Jacob with a plancha.]

DR: Ryu Osawa getting himself involved! And he sends Jacob Drake to the guardrail.

AM: HERE COMES AMITY!

[One-Winged Angel, Rage and Spice head down the aisle. Inside the ring, Michael Bonn stands at the corner, getting ready to leave the ring. Chad Grimmson whips Edward Drake into the corner, nailing Bonn in the face in the process. A red-faced Bonn, now bleeding from his nose, jumps up and starts flailing at both men with punches. Meanwhile, the trio of Amity watch from the aisle as the three teams continue to brawl, openly mocking the Drakes. That is...]

AM: THE PRIDE! THE PRIDE BLINDSIDES AMITY!

[Team Canada and Scott Daniels nail Amity with chairs, as Tom Landis and Kari Stevens cheer them on. They drive Amity towards the ring, where Ryu Osawa and Erik Grimsson are whipping Jacob Drake into the stairs. Inside the ring, Chad Grimsson has Michael Bonn and Edward Drake each in a one-handed choke, until Bonn and Drake drive Grimsson to the mat with a series of boots. Grimsson releases the chokes, and Drake clotheslines Bonn. Team Canada, Daniels and Amity continue fighting, reaching ringside just as Jacob Drake picks up Erik Grimsson and throws him at Spice, knocking both men to the ground. Drake grabs Ryu and whips him towards the others, and Osawa jumps off of Spice's back, springboarding himself onto Trevor Hextall. Scott Daniels then bashes Osawa with a chair, but as he goes for a second shot, One Winged Angel grabs a chair of his own and blocks the shot by Daniels.]

DR: It's breaking down! All hell is breaking loose here!

[The Youngblood contingent of the fed is complete as Michael Augustine joins the fray, running into the ring to stop Michael Bonn from dropkicking Edward Drake. Augustine begins pummeling Chad Grimsson. Outside the ring, Rage and Bob Jablonski trade shots, while Spice holds back Trevor Hextall to allow a free shot from Ami Tran. Tran is blindsided by Kari Stevens, though, and Tom Landis nails Spice in the back with his crutch.]

AM: Wait, here comes the cavalry!

[From the back, Alex Extreme and Alex Martinez walk out to tremendous cheers, pointing at Michael Augustine and the other Youngbloods. About of a third of the way down the aisle, two others jump out from the back and tackle Extreme and Martinez.]

DR: IT'S PAPA LEGBA AND VICTOR FROST! What are they doing out here?

SS: Softening up Martinez and Extreme for the Eight Man match!

AM: Frost and Extreme are trading shots, while Papa Legba bodyslams Alex Martinez! What power!

[Legba goes to help Frost by hammering Extreme in the back of the head, and the duo whip Extreme into the steel guardrail. Legba starts stomping at Extreme, while Frost steps back to get a running start... and is picked up by an angry Alex Martinez!]

DR: Martinez with a gorilla slam on Frost, right onto the cement floor!

[Legba turns around and sees Martinez staring at him. He turns around to make his escape...]

AM: Superkick by Alex Extreme! Legba hits the floor!

[Both Alexes pick up Frost and Legba and whip them into each other, and then follow up by a boot to the face from Martinez and a clothesline by Extreme, sending both heels to the ground. As Martinez goes to pick up Frost, a low blow doubles over Martinez. Frost takes advantage with a DDT on Martinez. Extreme rushes over and tackles Frost, taking him down with a powerslam. Extreme hops up to the guardrail and stands precariously on it for a second, before leaping off and nailing Frost with an elbowdrop...

CRACK! CRACK!]

DR: Papa Legba with a chair on Alex Martinez!

[Legba turns around as Extreme stands up, waving the chair menacingly. Extreme looks around, and makes a feint for another chair. Legba swings, and Extreme steps back. On the follow through, Extreme delivers a standing dropkick to Legba, forcing him to release the chair. Before Extreme can follow through, Victor Frost tackles him, driving him away from Legba and Martinez. The duo continue to fight as they head towards the end of the aisle, near the Unitron.]

DR: Alex Extreme and Martinez were trying to go pay back Michael Augustine, but the duo of Victor Frost and Papa Legba are in their path!

[Frost and Extreme continue to trade shots near the Unitron. Legba goes for his chair, but Martinez is back on his feet and choking him out. Frost whips Extreme into the leg of the Unitron, but misses on a clothesline as Extreme ducks. Extreme starts climbing up the Unitron, while Legba hammers away at the face of Alez Martinez to escape the choke.]

SS: Where the hell is Extreme headed, I always knew the guy was a coward but that's ridiculous!

AM: He's no coward, but he is suicidal to try and pull a stunt like that!

[And instantly, we're taken away from the arena to backstage now as Quinn Brown and Uriah Hawkins march down a hallway headed for the ring. They approach a row of doorways, and Uriah has to quickly sidestep as one of the doors flings open...

And the Universal Powers burst out into the hallway and upon seeing Hawkins and Brown begin to throw punches!]

DR: My god, not another one! The arena is mass chaos and now we've got a brawl going on backstage?!?

[Todd Franklin grabs Uriah by the hair and sends him crashing into the cement wall, then starts to take bodyshots on him as Quinn and Bobby Lincoln exchange closed fists. The larger Lincoln overpowers Quinn and lifts him up off the ground by the throat, up against the wall as Holly Williams screams, having just come around the corner. She charges Franklin without fear and collides with the wall of flesh, trying to use forearms as Uriah raises a knee and gets it into the stomach of his attacker.]

AM: Why are those two goons even fighting with Quinn and Uriah, this is nuts!

SS: They're taking full advantage of this lawlessness, it could've been the Bod Squad and they would have started attacking.

DR: Sadly, that seems about right. Quinn with a kick to the chest of Lincoln and he's gotten himself free, shot to the face!

[Quinn ducks away from one of the Powers and along with Uriah the two of them grab Franklin and throw him back into the locker room he came out of moments earlier. As Uriah and Quinn turn around, Lincoln grabs the two of them by the throat and tries to hurl them into the wall but they break his grasp and a double kick to the stomach knocks him backwards.

The cameraman takes a few steps back and catches a shot down the connecting hallway, then starts to zoom in as it becomes apparent that yet another brawl is taking place.]

AM: What, now who's that?

DR: It appears to... it's ALEX KIDD AND DEREK MARTIN!

[The camera focuses quickly as Martin unleashes shot after shot into Alex Kidd, as the bandages on his forehead are quickly dripping with fresh blood now. Alex gamely tries to fight back but Martin is clearly having his way with him as Alicia Powers stands back, pleading with Derek to stop. Martin lifts Alex up off the ground and drives his head into the wall, then swings him around...

Right into Niklos Romani!]

AM: Oh no, now the Romanis are involved in this whole mess.

SS: Leave it to the gypsies to stick their noses in where they don-

DR: RAVNOS ROMANI JUST STRUCK DEREK MARTIN IN THE SKULL WITH A CHAIR!

[Martin sinks to one knee as the Romanis double up on him, Ravnos having dropped the chair to use his fists instead. Alex leans against the wall, his wife tending to his semi-conscious state as Martin tries to shove his way past the Romanis only to be knocked back. Niklos places Martin in a front facelock, keeping him from rising back up as Ravnos grabs the chair once again and raises it up...]

AM: Paul Wong just grabbed the chair out of his hands, thank god!

SS: Are you defending Derek Martin?

AM: No, but the last thing we need in here is more casualties.

[Wong throws the chair to the ground and tries to talk some sense into the Romanis, but a shove from Ravnos brings about a flurry of offense from Paul. Niklos tries to help his brother out against Wong, and with his back turned Martin rises and grabs the steel chair...

______CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!______

And wraps the chair around Wong's head, reducing him to his knees as the shell-shocked former tag team champion collapses to the ground. The commotion causes another door in the hallway to be opened, and Marcus Nuit pokes his head out.

"Hey, what's going on out-"

______CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!______]

AM: That sick bastard Martin, he just about took Marcus Nuit's head off!

DR: Nuit is down, Wong is down, dammit!

[Alicia crawls over to the slumped over Wong as Alex slowly pulls himself up, still bleeding as Martin again raises up the steel chair, preparing to make it three for three. But before he can smash Alex's skull in, help comes in the form of Steve Ryott, flinging himself into the path of Martin and managing to knock the chair right out of his hands!]

AM: Thank god, Ryott saved Alex from what might have ended his career!

SS: Bah!

[Ryott is a blur of kicks on Derek Martin, and the Romanis lay into him as well, as the three of them manage to take Derek to the ground, but another cry from Alicia causes a dazed Alex Kidd to turn around...

In time to see his wife subjected to a two on one beatdown from the women's tag team champions!]

AM: Oh god, Tara and Brianna are beating Alicia Powers into the ground! Is this thing ever going to stop?!?

DR: They're fighting backstage, they're fighting out here in the arena, god help us all!

[The image cuts to another hallway backstage, where we find Jamie Underwood moving quickly and shouting.]

JU: E-Dubbya! It's out of control. It's...

[And then he turns a corner and runs smack into "The Walking Contradiction" Sabbath. Underwood backs up a step as Sabbath now lunges for Underwood, tackling him and sending him into the wall.]

DR: NOT ANOTHER FIGHT! UNDERWOOD AND SABBATH ARE GOING AT IT!

SS: Whose dressing room is that they are near?

[Steeley refers to the slightly ajar door that is nearby, into which Underwood and Sabbath, as they tussle with each other, stumble through.

And suddenly rising to their feet are Vyolynce and Angel.

Sabbath and Underwood continue their fisticuffs, not watching as Angel moves forward, only for the two to bump into her. Underwood swings with a hard right hand, but Sabbath ducks...

...and Underwood nails Angel, knocking her into the wall and sending her to the ground.

And that prompts Vyolynce to react, as he rises to his feet and grabs Underwood's legs, sweeping them out from under him. Sabbath, in his anger, shoves past Vyo, but that prompts Vyo to turn and nail Sabbath with a punch.]

AM: My God, now those two have pulled Vyolynce into their brawl.

DR: This is the fourth brawl we've got!

AM: And there's no security to stop any of them! Look at what Marshall Law has brought upon us.

SS: And it may only get worse.

DR: Sam, please don't... wait a minute... we've got something else going on backstage!

AM: Oh come on, no more please!

[We return to the same hallway from a short time ago, where Alicia Powers is still being assaulted by Tara Marshall and Brianna Landis. But now on the scene are "Tornado" Tara Smith and "Alluring" Arielle Starr, as the tide has turned and it's the champions who find themselves undermanned as Marshall tries her best to block punches from Smith and Powers, then gets whipped through a doorway and into an empty locker room.

Arielle Starr grabs Brianna with a headlock and tries a battering ram into the wall, but Landis shoves her off and then clotheslines Arielle. Landis follows the action into the locker room and grabs the Tornado, smashing her head into the door and stunning her momentarily. Alicia turns and takes a low kick from the Unicorn, then gets flung into a row of lockers and drops to her hands and knees.

"Come on, Bri!"

CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!

And even with the wars going on out in the arena, the crowd gasps in horror as the Bod Squad tips the lockers over right on top of Alicia, completely covering her from sight!]

AM: THEY'VE CRUSHED HER! ALICIA POWERS IS UNDERNEATH THOSE LOCKERS, THOSE SICK BITCHES!

DR: Alex Kidd is nowhere around the area, I'm getting reports that he, the Romanis and Martin are now over by the Universal Powers, Quinn Brown and Uriah Hawkins! He has no idea that his wife just got buried under those lockers!

[The Squad celebrates a little too long, as Tara Smith and Arielle come back at them with twin spears, knocking Marshall and Landis up and over a leather couch! The whole thing overturns as the women throw more punches, and all of a sudden the picture suddenly jerks forward as the camera and cameraman drops to the floor...

As the sound of a tazer can be heard.]

DR: Dammit, we've just lost the feed... I know I'm screaming myself hoarse but someone do something, we have to get some sort of security to break this all up!

[As we return to the ringside, not a lot has changed from before as the various factions continue to wage an unholy war. Alison Ivey joins Kari Stevens in attacking Ami Tran, holding her down while Stevens stomps away. Trevor Hextall grabs a chairs and swings wildly, missing Spice but catching on the follow-through...

CRAAAAAAACK!]

DR: Virginia St. Ursula is down! She was caught in the head by that errant chairshot!

AM: And there's so much chaos going around that I don't think anyone has noticed!

[Augustine low blows Chad Grimsson and wraps his neck between the second and top ropes, choking him out. Rage and Jablonski take their battle inside the ring, where they continue pummeling each other, now joined by Michael Bonn and Edward Drake. Jacob Drake whips Ryu Osawa towards Trevor Hextall, who bashes Osawa over the head with a chair... right before bashing Jacob Drake in the head also. Hextall turns around, only to be a caught with a chair to the head by Spice.]

DR: Something's got to break this up!

SS: There's no security... it's all broken down!

[Erik Grimsson sees his brother's predicament, slides under the ropes, and frees Chad. Chad collapses on the mat as Erik turns around and tackles Michael Augustine. Michael Bonn and Rage trade shots, while Jablonski and Edward Drake renew their old feud. Ryu Osawa finally spots Virginia St. Ursula and covers her with his body, trying to pull her away from the ring. Alison Ivey and Kari Stevens continue to double-team Ami Tran, until Lisa Drake and Nina Grimsson join the fray. They start attacking Ivey and Stevens, drawing them into the ring.]

DR: I've... I'm not sure what to say, except that this is getting more dangerous by the second.

[Daniels slides back under the ropes and is greeted by a Chad Grimsson spinebuster. Grimsson goes over towards his brother Erik and Michael Augustine, but Daniels trips up Chad, and they trade shots. Rage bodyslams Michael Bonn, as Drake grabs Jablonski in a tornado DDT. Erik Grimsson and Michael Augustine take their brawl out of the ring onto the floor. Chad Grimsson legsweeps Scott Daniels and climbs out to the apron, ready to pounce on Augustine. He doesn't see Tom Landis, who grabs his crutch and smashes it into Chad Grimsson's knee. Grimsson howls in pain, and Scott Daniels shoves him off the apron, where Chad Grimsson lands throat-first on the guardrail.]

AM: Someone get a doctor there! We need medical attention!

SS: But there isn't any!

[With Chad Grimsson clutching his throat, Tom Landis raises his crutch to nail Chad again, this time in the face. From behind, the One-Winged Angel charges and clips Landis from behind, driving him to the cement. Landis hollers and clutches his knee, as Scott Daniels leaps off the apron to tackle One-Winged Angel. One-Winged Angel and Scott Daniels take their fight over the guardrail and into the crowd, which gives both men a wide berth as they pummel each other.]

AM: One-Winged Angel and Scott Daniels continue to attack each other, grabbing chairs from the nearby crowd.

SS: Everyone's moving away from them, which is good. Please, everyone... don't get between the wrestlers.

[Jacob Drake now chokes out Michael Bonn, as Erik Grimsson and Michael Augustine take their battle out of the ring. Nina Grimsson covers her brother and tries to yell for the EMTs, but they don't come out. Collision and Job Holly do rush out, trying to separate several of the brawls and try and restore order. They actually manage to pull Spice and Hextall apart, but Jablonski and Edward Drake continue to fight, catching Job Holly in the face with a wild shot.]

DR: One Winged Angel and Scott Daniels continue to fight... there's so much going on now, it's hard to keep up with the action.

AM: Alison Ivey just nailed Nina Grimsson! Nina was wide open for that shot, because she was yelling for help for her brother!

SS: And Ami Tran just repaid Ivey by throwing her into the stairs! No one is safe in there!

[Erik Grimsson and Michael Augustine start fighting up the aisle, as Rage joins Spice in blasting Trevor Hextall. Bob Jablonski leaves Edward Drake to help his partner, while Edward helps his brother Jacob attack Michael Bonn, leveling him with a double clothesline.]

DR: This... is just utter madness.

[Again we jump from the arena to backstage, as another cameraman goes running in the direction of what looks like the dining hall area. The door swings open, and the remnants of what looks like a chair flies dangerously close to the camera. Marissa Monet is the first person we recognize, but soon it becomes apparent as Derek Rage and Caliban take turns slamming each other's heads into a round dining table. Close by, Serge Annis and Shadoe Rage have one another by the throat as each tries for a chokeslam into the floor. Neither one budges with their grip either.]

AM: Oh my god, the Hands of Death and the Prophets of Rage found each other... In the ring it's bad, back there it's so much worse.

[Monet grabs a stainless steel pot and hurls it as hard as she can, but Serge Annis barely avoids getting scalded by the contents of it before Shadoe Rage breaks a chair across his back. Annis sinks to one knee, but gets up and lunges at Rage and Monet, sending all three of them flying through the doors back into the hallway! The cameraman seems unsure which fight to follow, ultimately deciding to stay with Caliban and Derek Rage as Cali uses a Melon Toss to put Rage across one of the dining tables and upending it. As he lets loose a howl, the door swings back and catches him in the face!

Caliban staggers and heads through the door out into the hallway, right into a headbutt by Shadoe Rage. Annis and Shadoe keep trading punches, with Caliban stalking towards Monet until Derek Rage shows up on the scene again. In the meantime, another cut takes us to somewhere else backstage with a dressing room door found open. The camera moves forward to find that this is the Fraternity Boys dressing room...

...only Sabbath, Underwood and Vyolynce are in it and fighting!

Chris O'Brien remains on the couch, seemingly too concerned with his alcohol to bother to respond. Donna Tetreault and Brian McKenzie, on the other hand, have risen up, backing up a step as the three men brawl...

...and then Sabbath is sent flying into McKenzie. The Frat Boy retaliates, pummeling Sabbath with punches, while Vyo and Underwood continue to exchange blows of their own...

...until Vyo grabs Underwood and uses a hiptoss that sends him right into O'Brien's chair, knocking him over and causing O'Brien to tumble over a case of Killian's Red. Several bottles shatter in the process.]

COB: NOT THE BEER!

[And that prompts O'Brien to charge Vyolynce, tackling him into the wall. Underwood rolls to his feet, limping a bit, but coming up from behind O'Brien and catching him with one of the bottles of beer, smashing it over his back.]

DR: Now the Fraternity Boys are going at it with the rest!

SS: Hey, it's not truly a brawl without Frats.

[The five men end up tumbling out of the dressing room and going into the hallway, beer bottles flying in the process and glass shattering against the walls as bottles are thrown. Donna Tetreault slowly moves forward, stepping out...

...but another form bumps into her... Angel.]

AM: Angel must have been looking for Vyolynce!

SS: And Donna takes a swing... here we go!

[Donna and Angel are now exchanging blows in the hallway, heading down the other direction, as another figure rounds the corner... Sierra Browne.

Browne shoves Angel aside, trying to get to Donna, but Angel shoves back, and now it's Angel and Sierra pummeling each other. Donna backs up a step, but bumps right into another figure who just rounded the corner... Stephanie Harper.

Harper and Tetreault now begin to trade blows, pummeling each other and shoving each other back around the corner, but they both bump into another figure who is heading down the hallway... Diabello Rage.

And that prompts Rage to join in on the fight, grabbing Harper and shoving her backfirst into the wall, then unleashing a series of kicks. Donna rises to her feet, but is tackled by Angel, only for Browne to come right back and begin stomping on Angel.]

DR: Is there anything that's going to stop this madness?!

AM: Wait, here are the Love sisters and they appear to be trying to place peacemaker...

[Lolita arrives on scene first and tries to grab Angel around the waist, but gets a thumb to the eye by mistake from Tetreault and soon is decked by a blind elbow from Sierra Browne. Leanna Love gets in between Stephanie Harper and Dalbello, but after a few seconds she's swarmed by both of them and soon disappears from sight underneath a dogpile.

Suddenly we return to the arena again, over by the Unitron as Victor Frost and Papa Legba double-whip Alex Extreme into the base of the Unitron. As Frost turns around, Alex Martinez comes charging, tackling Legba onto the concrete. From up the aisle, Kari Stevens grabs Lisa Drake and drags here towards the back, only to be stopped by a boot to the midsection from Drake. Lisa picks up Stevens and bodyslams her onto the floor. Before Drake can continue her assault, Victor Frost grabs her from behind and throws her right at Alex Extreme. Extreme catches Drake, but is vulnerable to a clothesline by Frost, taking both Extreme and Drake down.

Out in the distance of the crowd, Nina Grimsson and Alison Ivey continue to trade shots. Over by the Unitron, Alex Martinez hoists Papa Legba into a gorilla slam, and presses him twice before dropping him onto the floor. Frost stomps away at Extreme, only to suddenly double over from a low blow by Lisa Drake. As Frost stumbles, both Alex Extreme and Lisa Drake deliver a double-dropkick to Frost, sending him sprawling backwards towards the cameraman...

STATIC.]

DR: We've lost the signal from that battle!

AM: Come on guys, this is way too far past the point of sanity!

[Cut: Another open dressing room. We find out quickly who was in there as the camera pans over to show Andrew "Flash" Tucker and "Money Driven" Mike Sebastian of Strictly Business nearby. The pair appear to be trying to break up the fivesome of Sabbath, Underwood, Vyolynce and the Frats.

Their efforts don't last long as McKenzie punches Tucker square in the face and Vyo kicks Sebastian in the knees. Sebastian retaliates by shoving Vyo into the wall and Tucker takes McKenzie back with a fist to the midsection. Broken glass from the shattered beer bottles lines the hallway. O'Brien and Underwood continue to tussle, until Sabbath tackles Underwood from behind, sending all three into a dressing room door that flies open...

...and right into "Mr. Main Event" Chris Douglas, who was apparently ready to exit the room.

Douglas wastes no time in dragging Sabbath to his feet, peppering him with punches and throwing him back out the dressing room door. He then drags O'Brien up, trying to toss him out, but O'Brien retaliates with a fist to the gut and the two drag each other out of the room.

As they do this, Jason Keening is seen walking down the hallway, then spotting Douglas and rushing to O'Brien's aid, nailing Douglas with a shoulder tackle. He begins to pummel Douglas, but Underwood intervenes with a pair of quick kicks, only for Tucker to rush Underwood and tackle him. The camera shows Vyolynce and Sebastian still trading punches in the background as Sabbath joins Tucker in fighting with Underwood.]

DR: What started as a two-man brawl has just multiplied into a nine-man brawl!

SS: Not to mention that five-woman brawl that sprung from it and is who knows where now!

AM: Is there anyone not on the UWF roster who _isn't_ fighting with somebody?!

[Rather than have her question answered, another cut to the backstage brings us to yet another hallway but with the already seen brawl between the Prophets of Rage and Hands of Death. It seems that the fight has gradually moved down another hallway, just in front of a door right at the end of the corridor. Shadoe and Annis are still in the middle of a fistfight, while Caliban repeatedly claws at Derek Rage's face, evident by the cuts and scratches. As all of this goes on, Monet continues trying to get shots in whenever she can but now Youth Gone Wild has shown up as well, trying to separate the parties of all things. Marissa takes a swing at YGW but he sidesteps it and warns the Great Black Shark, but he's not so lucky as Derek Rage breaks away from Caliban for a few moments and blasts Wild with a kick to the stomach doubling him up.]

AM: Come on, he was only trying to help sort it out!

DR: I fear for the safety of everybody inside the building, in all my years I've never seen anything as out of control as this!

SS: Watch out Serge!

[The Epitome eats a closed fist right to the face from Derek Rage, knocking him right against the door with an audible thump. A second shot misses the target from Derek, and Annis launches a shoulder into his gut before ramming Derek's face into the wooden door.

"What the hell is-"

The door swings open inwards and the face of Becky Byers fills the screen. Byers stops dead in her tracks as the chaos comes towards her, but after just a few seconds she tries to restore order and grabs the arm of Annis in mid-swing. The EoE swivels his head and glares at Becky, who stands her ground...

...just long enough to be flung backwards into her office, colliding with the brand new Rampage Champion, Rick Marley!]

SS: What the?

AM: That's Becky's office they're fighting in! Rick must have been in finalizing his new contract, but he's in the thick of a warzone now!

[Marley and Byers tip right over off the chair he was sitting in as Annis comes storming into the room, followed quickly by Derek and Shadoe Rage. As Serge tries to fight off both Prophets, Caliban and Youth Gone Wild stumble through the doorway next and Caliban shoves YGW into a potted plant by the wall.

Byers gets up and begins to yell at the top of her lungs for the fighting to stop, but then Marley flings himself at Caliban and takes himself as well as the Alaskan across and over Becky's desk with another loud crash. Once again it's the vice-president tries to get in between Annis and the Prophets, but it backfires horribly as Shadoe and Derek sense the oncoming freight train that is Serge and separate...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

As stunned and horrified gasps come from the arena crowd at the sight of plaster and dust exploding everywhere in sight.]

DR: ANNIS SPEARED THE COMMISSIONER THROUGH THE DAMNED WALL! OH GOD!

SS: Oh shit.

[The dust settles after a few moments and Youth Gone Wild starts to look through the now gaping hole in the makeshift wall... and finds the hand of Serge Annis wrapped around his throat as the Epitome of Evil climbs back to his feet and steps through the wall. But before he can deliver unto the former world champion an Epitomizer, he's once again doubleteamed by the Rages.

Marley and Caliban return to their feet, but a low kick from Caliban stuns Marley and soon the Freak comes to the rescue of his partner, grabbing Shadoe Rage and almost taking his head off with an elbowsmash against the wall. Monet stands beside the hole in the wall as Byers remains motionless, half covered by plaster and debris from the temporary construction.]

DR: Becky Byers has herself just become a victim of Marshall Law, and I have a terrible feeling that this is just the tip of the iceberg if things continue the way they have been.

[And once again Youth Gone Wild tries to get in between the fighters while Scorpio appears in the doorway, making a beeline for Caliban and preventing him from putting Marley through the large oak desk.

And now as we cut again from this scene, back to the aisle by the Unitron as still the brawl continues in the ring as well as by the entrance. The cameraman and the camera seem to have recovered, as we see Alex Martinez holding Papa Legba in a full nelson as Alex Extreme delivers several boots to the midsection. Kari Stevens rakes at the face of Alex Martinez, forcing him to release Legba. Legba then grabs Extreme and delivers a standing spinebuster to the floor, as Lisa Drake pulls Kari Stevens off of the back of the seven foot monster. Agent Allen Donelson runs out, yelling at everyone to break up the fight. He pulls Alex Extreme off of Victor Frost, but this gives Frost a chance to grab Martinez from behind and delvier a standing neckbreaker. Extreme shoves Donelson away and continues his assault on Frost. In the audience, Grimsson and Ivey's fight take them out of the arena, through a door towards the concession area of the arena.]

AM: Oh no, I can only shudder to think where they've gone now.

SS: Give it a few minutes, I'm sure we'll have a camera there soon.

[The camera whips around a few times, not sure as usual which action to follow but then we suddenly jump back to the first hallway as the fight between the Universal Powers, Uriah Hawkins and Quinn Brown has escalated to include the Romanis, Derek Martin and a bloody and crawling Alex Kidd. The Romanis are beating the living tar out of Franklin and Lincoln, and as Todd is lifted up by the brothers Leslie Hernandez and Tigress come in from the left side.]

LESLIE: L ceme a trav de una ventana? Romper el cuello maldecido dios!

[Leslie pulls out a leather belt and begins to whip Lincoln across the sternum, with Niklos holding his arms behind his back. Tigress snaps off a flat-footed kick to the face of Franklin, staggering him and sending him into a wall as Martin grabs Ravnos by the head. After rapid-fire delivering forearms to his head lifts the Romani brother up, slamming him on the floor hard. The still unconscious form of Paul Wong is stepped over as yet another body emerges from a locker room, that of "Dark Horse" Randall Osbourne. Oz sneers and immediately grabs Kidd by the head, squeezing more blood from the wound on his forehead and tries to bite at it. Alex fights back, raking Oz's eyes and kneeing him in the groin before Steve Ryott appears again, lunging in between Kidd and Osbourne and firing shots at the Dark Horse.]

DR: My god, there has to be just about everyone in the UWF involved in this mess at this point- and T.D. Swagger just arrived!

AM: He's making a beeline for Martin, saved Niklos Romani from a powerbomb on the floor!

[Swagger begins to fire shots at Martin, but wheels around and has to duck a punch by Franklin as well, drilling him with a shot. As strange as it appears, T.D. and Tigress each grab one of Franklin's arms and Leslie belts him, then almost as suddenly another jump brings us to yet another location.

We find a few members of Edmond Winston IV's security team standing in front of a door leading to a skybox... very likely, EW4's own private skybox. Victoria Marquess, having obviously been cut off from her managerial charge, Victor Frost, frantically searches for him.]

"Victor? Victor, where are you?!?"

Marquess turns the corner and dissapears from sight, as all seems to be well when another member pops up from around the same corner.]

Security guy: We've got a problem!

[And then...

"AIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE!"]

SS: What the hell was that?

AM: It sounded like Victoria!

[____CRACK!_____

...said security member is brained over the head with a steel chair as we find Chris O'Brien leaping out of the way. Chris Douglas appears around the corner, the chair in his hand, ready to swing again, only for Jason Keening to tackle him from behind, knocking the chair loose.]

The security team members rush toward the brawling wrestlers, but stop in their tracks as Strictly Business, Vyolynce and Jamie Underwood round the corner, all four men trading blows and bumping right into the security.

Underwood ducks a punch attempt by Andrew Tucker, who nails a security team member right in the face in the process. Another security member tries to grab Vyolynce, but Vyo reacts by taking the guard and hiptossing him backfirst into the wall. A third security member tries to restrain Mike Sebastian, only to be elbowed in the face and knocked down.

Douglas and Keening grapple with each other, stumbling into another security team member and knocking him to the ground. Brian McKenzie comes flying in with a spear tackle, reaching for Sabbath, but Sabbath sidesteps him and McKenzie spears yet another security member to the ground.]

SS: Hey! You can't do that to Edmond's personal security!

AM: Looks like Edmond hired cheap labor for security.

SS: Don't diss his hiring procedures!

DR: This brawl has found its way to near Edmond's skybox and...

[David stops as he notices the door to the skybox opening, Edmond Winston IV himself peaking out of it...

...and the door is swung open and EW4 knocked out of the way as Jamie Underwood and Mike Sebastian spill through the door and into Edmond's own skybox!]

AM: At the rate things have been going, you knew even Edmond wasn't going to be safe!

[Edmond quickly regains his footing, brushing himself off, then yelling to the cameraman.]

EW4: Keep the cameras rolling!

[And that they do, as now Douglas, Keening, McKenzie and Sabbath all stumble into the skybox, continuing their brawl, as Vyolynce, O'Brien and Tucker continue to fight in the hallway. The camera pans into EW4's skybox, where we see Jessica "Fatality" Marshall frantically scramble out of the way as Douglas and Keening grab each other forcefully, throwing each other into a nearby sofa.

Fatality quickly dodges Sabbath as he leaps at Douglas, followed by Underwood kicking Sebastian in the gut, then grabbing a nearby vase of flowers and smashing it over his back!

McKenzie, at that point, tackles Underwood and begins to rain blows down on him, as Fatality now reacts.]

JFM: That's enough, Brian! Get off him!

[She then reaches down to pull Brian off, causing the Frat Boy to rise. He manages to brush Fatality off, but now she leaps onto his back, desperately trying to settle him down.

EW4, meanwhile, bends down to help Underwood but as he does, Andrew Tucker comes rushing into the room, leaping onto EW4's back and leaping at McKenzie...

____CRASH!____

...and then Tucker and McKenzie land right on top of a coffee table, with Fatality underneath both of them as she takes the brunt of the blow and lands hard on the table, the three tumbling to the floor, Fatality knocked silly as a result of the blow.]

DR: NOW JESSICA MARSHALL HAS BEEN TAKEN OUT!

AM: Ironic, isn't it, that she'd fall victim to Marshall Law herself! Still, I can't say I like this... things are just getting worse and worse!

SS: Look out for Winston!

[And that's when EW4 springs into action, jumping on top of Tucker and raining vicious blows to his head. The camera is about to pull away, but Edmond momentarily turns to it...]

EW4: KEEP THE CAMERAS ROLLING!

[...but that gives Mike Sebastian the opportunity to kick Edmond in the head. EW4 shakes the blow off, now spinning toward Sebastian and tackling him, only for Douglas to then bodyslam Keening right on top of Winston himself. O'Brien then charges into the skybox, smacking Douglas with a forearm blow, but then is caught from behind by Vyolynce as he clips O'Brien's knees.

Meanwhile, Sabbath and Underwood are exchanging blows again, McKenzie rising to his feet to charge at Sabbath as what's available of Winston's security team bursts into the room.]

DR: This... this... fans, I really don't know what to say! There's not one wrestler on the UWF roster who _isn't_ fighting backstage now!

AM: Look at this... Edmond's security is trying to break things up... doesn't look like they're going to do much good, though.

SS: Now, now, don't imply his hiring decisions are bad!

AM: Considering every other decision he's made has been bad, can you blame me?

[One of Winston's security guards tries to restrain EW4 himself, but the UWF co-owner nails him with a blind elbow, as another security guard is slammed against the wall by McKenzie and a third knocked over into the couch as he tries to separate Douglas and Keening.
Another cut now, as the picture shows a brighter lit place than most of the other scenes we've witnessed. Up on the main concourse concession area it's Erik Grimsson trading punches with Michael Augustine, and nearby as Spice and Jablonski at each other's throats. Ami Tran jumps on the back of Hextall with a chokehold as Rage takes shots as well at the Team Canada member. Augustine manages to slam Erik into the side of the merchandise stand and grabs the closest t-shirt to him.

A neon green and purple Alex Extreme t-shirt, which Augustine wraps around Erik's throat and begins to choke him down to his knees with. The Son of Cacaphony's eyes begin to bug out as Augustine sneers down at his rival, until Rage comes to Erik's defense and sends Augustine right over the table, landing behind the counter. Before Rage can follow, Augustine uses another piece of merchandise, an Edmond Winston gold-plated picture of Big Tobacco himself, and smashes it across Rage's forehead. The sharp edge cuts Rage and busts him open, blood pouring down across several t-shirts on the counter as Augustine climbs out from behind.]

SS: Hey, someone mark up the prices of those things. They've gotta be even more now.

AM: Only you would be concerned with dollars right now Sam, when we've got a damn riot on our hands!

[Hextall manages to flip Tran off of his back and forward across a concession stand with beer and bags of popcorn, sending the female wrestler as well as all the food flying. But no sooner can Hextall turn around than he's grabbed by Spice, who lifts the Pridesman up by the throat and tosses him headlong into a cement pillar!]

DR: This is absolutely disgusting, and I'm sorry for the strong language ladies and gentlemen but this is ABOUT FUCKING ENOUGH! If there isn't one damn security guard in this place, I'm going to at least try and do _SOMETHING_ to help!

AM: Wait a minute, you're what- DAVE!

[Amy's words are followed by the sound of a headset being thrown down hard, and now a frantic cut to the ringside area shows David Rogers getting up from the announce table and beginning to walk up the aisle. In the meantime the ring is still full of the same brawling we've seen all over the building, with another UWF agent, Chris Myers, trying to get in between Edward Drake and Ryu Osawa.]

SS: What the hell is he trying to do, get himself killed?!?

AM: Fans, David Rogers just left the announce position... Dammit Dave, what are you thinking?

SS: Get back here, Dave!

[The crowd noise, which is as splintered as ever seen on a broadcast before reacts to Dave heading to the backstage area with shocked pops.

_Thump._]

AM: SAM! Where- dammit!

[A super fast pan back down the aisle spots Sam Steeley and soon after Amy Marshall both leaving the broadcast position as well, heading the same way as Rogers. Myers' attempts to break up the Privateer brawling with Osawa fail as Jacob Drake jumps practically over Myers to smash into Osawa's back, taking him to the mat and soon the Privateers are again doubleteaming a poor soul.

Quick cut up to the gorilla position just behind the entrance position sees Frost with his hands around the throat of Alex Martinez, slamming his head off of an equipment box repeatedly. Someone calls out Frost's name, causing him to look up and a monitor comes crashing down into the side of Victor's face courtesy of Alex Extreme while the scream of Roxy Mayhem fills the air as referee Scott Ingraham rushes in to try to restrain Frost.

Cut to another shot in a rather open hallway. By this point, the brawl that started between the Hands of Death and the Prophets of Rage has meshed with the brawl that ended up in the skybox. Serge Annis is now tangling with Chris Douglas, as Jason Keening and Shadoe Rage come flying at both men, but it's Keening tackling Annis and Shadoe tackling Douglas. As the four men ries from the floor while trading punches, HOSE member Hollywood Kid comes rushing to try to break them up, but as he grabs Shadoe, the Prophet of Rage member rears back with a stiff elbow to knock the Kid into the wall, only for Douglas to take advantage and nail him with a hard forearm.

Further up the hallway, we can see Vyolynce snaring Scorpio in a neck vice, but Scorpio able to wiggle free and double Vyo over with a kneelift. That's when Mike Sebastian launches himself at both men with a bodyblock, causing all three men to tumble to the floor. Edmond Winston IV reaches down to pull Sebastian up, but as Vyo rises, he fires off a wild shot, nailing EW4, and Winston opts to brawl with Vyo instead. HOSE member Taurus tries to intervene, but he gets shoved aside by The Fraternity Boys, who grab Edmond and pull him up, slamming him against the wall, Taurus again desperately trying to break things up.

We then see a shot of Caliban whipping Youth Gone Wild face first into the wall, but then Derek Rage rushes forward with a vicious clothesline. Jamie Underwood then jumps Derek from behind, driving an equipment chest hard across his back. He tries again, but Andrew Tucker comes up behind Jamie to snatch the chest away from him, then drives it into Jamie's gut, only to eat a clothesline from Derek, who was aiming for Underwood.

"Showtime" Rick Marley rushes Derek Rage and shoves him backwards into the wall as Youth Gone Wild now opts to get in his shots as well. UWF agent Joey Valachi tries to intervene, but is viciously shoved aside at Sabbath, who makes a beeline for Underwood and the two brawl again. Valachi gets to his feet, but Caliban pushes past him, knocking Valachi back to the floor, to get at Derek Rage again, grabbing YGW by the hair and throwing him aside, only to be met with a stiff forearm from behind by Marley, as we see Shadoe and Douglas stumble into the wall, both grabbing each other by their throats.

Back to the women's fight now thanks to another cut, and aside from Donna Tetreault fending off attacks from both Stephanie Harper and Sierra Browne, UWF road agent the Lady In Red is trying to keep the peace, standing in between Lolita Love and Dalbello Rage and holding them apart.

Sierra bellows at the top of her lungs at Tetreault, who takes another swipe as Stephanie Harper is shoved forward now thanks to an incoming Misaki Ishikawa! Misaki grabs Harper and swings her into another doorway by the hair, and as Mitzi Sukkora tries to hold her back...

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!

She falls to the ground, a victim of Misaki's trusty tazer gun. Before Misaki can use it again, Harper comes back with a spear into the Team BATTLE*DREAM member and knocks it out of her hands, the two of them crashing to the floor as an obviously scared stiff Victoria Marquess tries to inch her way past all the violence.

"VIC-TOR?!?"

No longer peacemakers and now just part of the brawl, Leanna and Lolita Love each take an arm of Tetreault, but Sierra doesn't appreciate the help and belts Lolita in the stomach, sending her dangerously close to a nearby flight of stairs. Leanna releases Tetreault and goes after Sierra, but Donna's escape is cut off by Harper and Misaki still rolling around on the floor trading stiff elbows as referee Dale Simpson is trying to get in between Leanna and Sierra.

"VIC-TOR?!?"

Cut out to a more secluded area, the underground parking area where a pair of large 18 wheeler trucks are parked with the UWF logo on the side of each. One has a metal staircase on the side of it, unmistakably the production truck...

As Spice whips Trevor Hextall back-first into the side of the truck cab! Rage comes in from the other side and slams Hextall into it again, as the screaming voice of Michael Augustine laced with obscenities is heard but not yet seen. The two members of Fury grab Hextall and hoist him up across their shoulders, preparing to drive him spine-first across the hood of the cab...

"PUT HIM DOWN."

The camera turns, and Bobby Jablonski stands behind Fury with Ami Tran pressed high over his head. Spice curses something unintelligible...

And Fury spikes Hextall into the cement.

And Jablonski heaves Tran up in the air as high as he possibly can, allowing her to make full contact with the ground shoulder-and-elbow-first. Screams of pain from Tran now echo throughout the parking garage, the two members of Fury charging Jablonski.

Now cut to another growing situation in what appears to be the loading docks, which ultimately leads outside to the fan parking lots at the exterior of the building. Several of the fights and brawls have converged on this spot and intermingled, as now T.D. Swagger is engaged in combat with Brian McKenzie...

Chris O'Brien and Alex Kidd fending off an assault by Derek Martin as Steve Ryott flings himself off of a dumpster, colliding with all three and knocking the four into a dogpile. Agents and referees alike are in the midst of all of this in a desperate attempt to end the riot, Orson Edmonds chief among them as he grabs McKenzie by the waist, trying to pull him away from Swagger. Brian lands a couple of hard elbows into the agent's face, and Orson staggers back with his grip broken, lets out a war cry and charges the Fraternity Boy...

And it's a reunion of Happy Hardcore as Orson and Swagger knock McKenzie back and soon are dueling with one of the Romanis and Randall Osbourne. Up a level on top of the loading docks, Uriah Hawkins holds Todd Franklin prone for Leslie Hernandez to kick him in the ribcage several times, until another late arrival on the scene in Victor Frost clubs Uriah from behind and drives the point of his knee into Hawkins' back! Frost spits at Leslie, and her latin temper kicks in at this point, charging the North American Champion-

But Roxy is there to cut Leslie off with a high kick of her own to the face, and with twin devilish smirks Frost and Mayhem send Uriah and Leslie hurtling off the end of the docks to the concrete ground roughly four feet below!

"HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT!"

"HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT!"

"HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT!"

"HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT!"

"HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT!"

More agents appear in the midst of everything, Bryan Sanders now holding Tigress back as she tries to swipe at Donna Tetreault. Tetreault however has her hands full as Stephanie Harper has her by the face and drives her knee into the women's champion's chest several more times, and Sierra Browne ducks a charging clothesline from Brianna Landis, takes her out with a Truth superkick before refocusing again on Tetreault.

Yet another cut transports us back to the gorilla position, as Martinez remains down with a pool of blood forming around his head and Jacob Drake kicking and stomping at him. Extreme charges Jacob, tackling him, as Scott Ingraham tries to restrain Extreme but gets knocked down.

From somewhere on the second level of the arena Scott Daniels and the One-Winged Angel continue to wage their personal war, fighting through the stands as Hotspot knocks 1WA backwards over a couple of seats, stopped by a couple of unlucky fans. Angel manages to toss a beer into Hotspot's face, blinding him long enough to smash his face off of a seat.

Still another cut returns us to the ring, Ryu Osawa now doing his best to cover up the prone body of Chad Grimsson from Edward Drake's attack. Jim Junas is trying to get back up with the assistance of Job and Collision Holly, and thanks to another rapid cut to the loading docks we now have UWF agent Joey Valachi along with Youth Gone Wild, the Hollywood Kid and Taurus trying to break up another massive fight, this time involving Chris Douglas, both members of Strictly Business, Derek Martin and Quinn Brown. Tucker's fist collides with the side of Martin's head, staggering the big man and knocking him right into Douglas.

YGW manages to separate Tucker and Martin for a few seconds... until turning to bump into the Epitome of Evil once more. Annis raises his fists...

WILD: "Alright, Chicken Man... we'll play like it's '97."

And YGW begins to unload on Serge, getting in several shots before a blinding headbutt to the bridge of the nose sends him to his knees, and Serge grabs him again by the throat to drive his longtime nemesis into the cement with an ugly but so effective chokeslam!

Annis has no time to react as a human projectile comes flying right at him, smashing him into several other people like a pinball. The human projectile, Quinn Brown, gets up and lunges for the Epitome once again!

__________CRAAAAAAAAAAAACK!__________

"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE!"

The bodies start piling up again, but the brave cameraman manages to get in and around the action, as the UWF's announcers again become visible. Unfortunately, David Rogers is lying on the ground, a chair partially lying across his chest as several more of the wrestlers are still close by, brawling and unaware of how close they are to trampling the voice of the UWF.

As the camera finds him, Amy and Sam happen upon the scene at the same time. Without thinking, Steeley pulls the chair off of Rogers and dives across him for protection. Right beside him, Rick Marley is hurled to the ground by Corporate Leverage, and Underwood pounces on him next. Amy is forced to sidestep in a hurry as Sabbath grabs Underwood by the throat and lunges for him next...

STEELEY: "Get away... GET AWAY FROM HERE!"

AMY: "But-"

STEELEY: "GO! Owens, Phillips, get her out of here!"

[Moe and Peter take Amy and begin to pull her away from the mess as Sam continues to protect the fallen David Rogers...

Cut back to the 18 wheeler trucks, one of which now sees Spice with two hands around the throat of Jablonski, the Team Canada member being lifted right off the ground up against the truck. Trevor Hextall, clutching his neck, starts to climb up the steps to the truck after Rage and knees him in the stomach, then rams him into the doorjam with much force. Screams can be heard inside the production truck as the two wrestlers dissapear inside, and soon after a couple members of the production crew come running out. The cameraman begins to climb up the steps, but gets knocked to the side as Jablonski breaks Spice's grasp and follows up as well. A short glipse of a forearm into Rage's back is seen before again the cameraman is pushed aside, this time for Spice. It's another few moments before the camera is readjusted, as more screams are audible. We see Jablonski driving Spice's face into a wall of television monitors, trash talking all mixed in with directions from the production crew...

"...camera twelve, cu..."

"...gonna stomp yo ass..."

"...motherfu..."

And one voice, belonging to a certain Philadelphia Psycho, coming in loud and clear...

"COME ON, YOU SON OF A BITCH!"

__STOMP! STOMP! STOMP!__

The jarring words from Augustine come from up above, as somehow the Youngblood has managed to climb up on top of the truck...

"YOU'RE GONNA DIE, ASSHOLE!"

And the response from Erik Grimsson comes just moments before another HUGE CRASH! Frantically the cameraman steps out of the production truck again and looks around to see the crumpled forms of both Augy and Erik lying across the top of the truck cab, still kicking and knocking away at one another.

The picture becomes unsteady as it now starts to cut in and out from black, the noise increasing from back inside the truck with the damage toll now rising even faster...

CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH-

And sudden blackness.]

OK, so a little background here: Edmond Winston IV had taken the majority ownership of the UWF, named Jessica "Fatality" Marshall the new president and instituted what he called Marshall Law, in which there was no security guards, medical staff or anyone else who was going to intervene to break up brawls, attacks by heels, or assist any wrestlers who were hurt. Along the way, Amy Marshall acquired the ownership stake that still remained with the Reed family, thus she could name her own representative, which was Becky Byers, a former wrestler turned UWF commissioner.

A brief side note: EW4 had recruited The Privateers by his side, giving them an ownership stake, but they later turned on him and joined with Michael Augustine to form the Youngbloods.

This brawl was put together toward the end of the Marshall Law angle, to demonstrate just how much things were spiraling out of control.

It was Mike Sonby who suggested this massive brawl, and he, I and Mike Beeby sat down to write parts and get them fleshed together. There was debate as to whether or not to continue the show after this massive brawl, but it was ultimately agreed that once this brawl took place, the show was going to end.

So we come to the third match on the card, The Sons of Cacophony vs. the team of Michael Bonn and Ryu Osawa, an "odd couple" pairing. I won't get too deeply into the backstory, or that of anyone else (other than to mention feuds taking place at the time).

The action was kept brief and we jump quickly to The Privateers showing up with Allison Ivey (Privateers and Sons were feuding). Privateers interfere in the match, leading to the DQ, but then Ivey takes out the referee and Privs and Sons brawl, only for Ryu to interject himself on behalf of the Sons. Bonn wants no part of it and is about to leave, but when an errant swing comes his way, he joins the brawl.

Amity (One-Winged Angel, Rage and Spice of Fury, and Ami Tran) then arrives on the scene. The idea was that Amity was thinking about interjecting themselves on behalf of the Sons and Ryu, only for The Pride (Scott Daniels, Tom Landis, Team Canada, Kari Stevens) to use the opportunity to ambush them. (Pride and Amity were feuding.) Brawl breaks out, the two get meshed together, and by this point, Michael Augustine has come out to join his fellow Youngbloods.

Then we have Alex Martinez and Alex Extreme, who were to schedule to wrestle in the main event and had their own issues with the Youngbloods, coming out, only to be ambushed by two of the other participants in the main, Victor Frost and Papa Legba.

It was at this point that we started going to brawls that were starting up backstage, as two more wrestlers in the main event, Quinn Brown and Uriah Hawkins, were hurrying to go help Martinez and Extreme, only for the Universal Powers to take advantage of the chaos in general and jump them. Meanwhile, we find that Derek Martin, who was feuding with Alex Kidd, was taking advantage of the situation as well. The Amazing Romanis happen to come upon the scene, but get hit by Martin, and they retaliate. Paul Wong tries to intervene, but gets taken out by Martin, and then as Marcus Nuit opens his dressing room door to see what's going on, Martin swings the chair at him too. The idea was that Martin was just going to swing at anything that moved, but then Steve Ryott intervenes.

And as this happened, Alicia Powers gets jumped by the Bod Squad (Tara Marshall and Brianna Landis) and they drag her off. By this point, it was clear just how bad Marshall Law was going to make the environment, because nobody was there or allowed to break up any altercations.

More thoughts later. Trying to break this up and avoid lengthy posts.

Glad you're doing this, Bob. The Miami Riot has a bit of a reputation in UWF history- and it's really been eight years? Damn... now I feel old

IIRC, the reason we went with the riot was that we ran the Marshall Law angle without having an ending. So after having several cards with run-in after run-in, we needed to up the ante to set up the storyline to end Marshall Law.

The Bonn/Ryu vs. Sons of Cacophony match was the second or third match on the card- so half the card ended up being cancelled because of the riot.

First of all, it was actually 10 years ago that this took place. Yep, this was from the 2004 UWF archives.

And picking up where I left off last post...

So we go backstage where Jamie Underwood (EW4's protege) realizes just how bad it's gotten, hurries to go find EW4, runs into the guy he has an issue with (Sabbath) and they fight. Next thing you know, Vyolynce gets drawn into it. This brawl starts out small, but then we cut away to where The Bod Squad was double teaming Alicia Powers, but is now dealing with Tara Smith and Arielle Starr in the locker room, but break away long enough to shove a set of lockers on top of Powers. Then comes the cameraman getting zapped by a taser... that was Misaki Ishikawa, BTW.

Thus far, Wong, Nuit and Powers have both been seriously hurt, but then we cut back to the brawl in the ring, by which point Nina Grimsson and Lisa Drake are getting involved. And then Bonn's manager, Virginia St. Ursula, gets taken out with an errant chair shot and Ryu is the only one who notices. Along the way, Chad Grimsson and Tom Landis are both injured, and now there's six people who have been seriously hurt. By this point, Daniels and 1WA have taken their fight into the crowd.

And then we go backstage, where we find The Prophets of Rage, Marissa Monet and The Hands of Death (Serge Annis and Cameron Black), who are feuding, have taken advantage of the situation to wage their personal war. Back we go to Sabbath, Underwood and Vyolynce, who have now drawn The Fraternity Boys into their brawl. As Donna Tetreault goes to investigate, she bumps into Angel, swings out of instinct, then along comes Sierra Browne, who had an issue with Tetreault. Stephanie Harper, Dalbello Rage and The Love Sisters each get pulled in as they arrive on the scene, and now we have another multi-person brawl.

We're briefly taken back out to the arena, by which point Erik Grimsson, Michael Augustine, Fury and Ami Tran are fighting into the crowd, Allison Ivey and Nina Grimsson are on their way, and the rest are still at ringside and up the aisleway, no end in sight. Then backstage where we go, where Strictly Business, Chris Douglas and Jason Keening get drawn into the brawl that started with Underwood and Sabbath.

Now it gets even worse as we find HoD and the Prophets fighting up a hallway, with Youth Gone Wild having no success breaking them up. They come to a makeshift office, where UWF commissioner Becky Byers is finalizing a contract with a guy who just debuted, Rick Marley. Her efforts to get people to stop are in vain, and now Marley interjects himself. And as Annis charges the Prophets, they sidestep him and Annis knocks Byers through the plaster wall. By this point, Scorpio has intervened.

Back to the arena briefly, then backstage we go again as the Romanis and Powers, who had issues, are now fighting each other, only for Tigress and Leslie Hernandez to intervene on behalf of the Romanis (quick back story: The Powers-Romanis feud began when the Powers attacked Leslie backstage). The brawls the Powers and Martin initiated have blended into one, with Randall Osbourne and T.D. Swagger now interjecting themselves. At this point, every single wrestler on the UWF roster is caught up in a brawl.

All but one... and more on that later.

Now we reached the point where the nine-man brawl that started up backstage has made its way to EW4's own personal "skybox" (I have a critique on this later), and EW4's personal security is unable to break up the wrestlers. EW4 opens the door to investigate, the wrestlers barge in, Jessica "Fatality" Marshall tries to pull Brian McKenzie off Jamie Underwood, and she's gets taken out as a result. Now the UWF president is down, thanks to the very Marshall Law she backed, and EW4 joins in the brawl, but is still more concerned with the cameras filming the action.

And then the brawls that have been taken just spiral out of control (including a spot where several wrestlers were fighting at a concession stand and a souvenir stand), with agents, referees, and the Heroes of Sports Entertainment (jobbers) trying to break things up, but to no avail. David Rogers has had enough and gets up to go help, with Sam Steeley trying to stop him and Amy Marshall following him.

Ultimately, Rogers gets taken out by an errant chair shot, Steeley instinctively protects him and tells Moe Owens and Peter Phillips to get Amy out. And then it leads to Team Canada, Fury, Ami Tran, Erik Grimsson and Michael Augustine brawling by the production truck, to the point that the satellite gets knocked out and the feed is gone.

And now... looking back on the brawl and my thoughts after all these years.

* Marshall Law drew a lot more interest in the UWF, but this massive brawl that prematurely ended the show drew the most attention. I know there had been many chaotic brawls through the years in UWF, EMWC, UEW and a host of other e-feds, but nothing on the scale of what we did here, involving every active wrestler at the time. It certainly worked in its time and accomplished exactly what was needed to show how chaotic things had been become.

* One active wrestler who wasn't there that night: World champion Kyle Lee, who was selling an injury at the hands of EW4. There was also a character who was scheduled to debut in the Tower of Doom match... I guess we'll say he was waiting at the hotel and planned to show up later. :)

* Some parts of the brawl were pretty brief, but that was done in part to keep it from getting too long. It came in at 60 KB, which was longer than even some of the main events on PPVs at the time. But we did touch upon enough of the spots in which wrestlers or others were seriously injured.

* Looking back, I would not have added any crowd chants, as happened when two of the wrestlers were knocked off the loading dock. The point was to demonstrate how out of control everything was, and I think it worked better by not drawing attention to any crowd reaction, other than fans getting out of the way of brawling wrestlers.

* Also, I would have written that it was EW4's luxury suite, not the "skybox" we referred to. The latter implies the wrestlers were fighting up stairs or in an elevator. :)

* I know it might seem unrealistic that a female commissioner could take a tackle from Serge Annis through a plaster wall, but she was a former wrestler, so we reasoned it would be more of a "cool visual" but believable that she wouldn't be that seriously injured.

Final thoughts: There was a lot more that developed out of Marshall Law than this, but this was definitely the big climax.

I don't know if anything like this could be pulled together in an e-fed today, though, especially since many of us are taking a more "old school" approach to our feds. UWF certainly wasn't a "hardcore" fed, but it definitely had that Attitude Era flavor.

Still fun to go back and look at this, though. :)

Ah, Marshall Law. Still to this day one of my favorite angles we ever did in the UWF, despite the slightly mixed response it got overall. And I'll echo the sentiment here, this brawl was the pinnacle of it and definitely a memorable moment. A few other notes I can add here:

- While it ended the show an hour early, there was some talk at first about having the show pick up later in the evening on whatever network was running Rampage at the time but outside in the parking lot after the arena had been evacuated. I'm pretty sure we scrapped the idea because although it would have made for a cool atmosphere, there was a lot of little points that made it seem highly unrealistic (EW4 buying the replay time to show the second hour, the logistics of putting up a ring outside, etc.) so we just went with scrapping hour two.

- As much fun as the brawl was, the special aftermath report was just as great. The whole roster did amazing reaction flashes, and the way people were mixed up in the middle of it all and people who didn't have any particular storyline ties to helping each other was an interesting twist too.

- As has been mentioned, the intent of the brawl was to show just how far out of hand things had become with a lack of security, medical, etc. and how dangerous the working conditions were. It was designed to show that things couldn't continue to exist that way, and eventual resolution was needed. Which led to the Rise to Power PPV and all the shares matches... MATH, BABY. You have no idea how many times I checked and rechecked the percentage shares on that PPV as it progressed after each match.
