I thought Curtis was the handler's name and not the actual character....

Didn't he have mostly a "revolution" stable of females?

Methinks the lad was trying for a deluded self-insert.

From what I remember, the handler was Joshua Curtis AND the character was Joshua Curtis.

And somehow, he had a Japanese sister. :dontknow:

And yet he was British too... *shakes head*

Don't know if he's the worst character, to be honest. But he took the hobby to an unhealthy level of seriousness and that should be its own category.

I could be wrong..

But i bet i'm very close

:D

And yes, he did take this game WAY to seriously.

Actually i recently quit a federation because he joined. I wonder how the boss man there is holding up LOL

Curtis is the only character whose material was so repulsive that I couldn't make it all the way through a single flash. It was egotistical, self-serving, long-winded and conceptually speaking there wasn't enough there to even criticize. The hometown thing was actually a good example. The guy couldn't even decide on a hometown.

BTW, thank you to Mr. Cox for showing Curtis the door. At least in character. :P
And it was at this moment that the entire world realized, in unison, that tandem bicycles were AWESOME~!

So, I went through the trouble of reading through a Joshua Curtis rp just to see how bad he really is.

Long story short...

[Black screen with white text: Joshua Curtis - Schitzophrenic Menace or Confused Retard. A voice over occurs. The voice is a smoothe one, with a hint of smarm to it. Astute listeners pick up that it is none other than Tyrone "Purple" Hayes.]

V/O: Joshua Curtis... does he even know where he is?

[We see our Japanese-English martial arts knowing, ass kicking, woman defending, insane chair wielding psychopath in a portrait that looks kind of like Curtis... if you think a crayon picture with the words: cuckoo, head case, possible cross dresser looks like Joshua Curtis.]

V/O: Um... he... has Yakuza ties and beats up guys who try to rape women? Seriously, who writes this drivel?

[A giant question mark shows up in the middle of the screen.]

V/O: Really, I want to know! What can I say about him that he hasn't already said about himself?

[We are treated to a still photo of Curtis from the last Heatwave. You know the image. The insane look and the murderous intent, chair held high and Gavin Cassel in his sights.]

V/O: I think he needs counselling.

[Curtis, blinking negative to regular photo.]

V/O: America cannot afford a crazy man in charge. America cannot afford to let her guard down. Foreign devils try to break down the gates at every turn. Now, more than ever America needs...

[Yep. Your ever loving double champion, Gibson Hayes, appears on the screen. He's in a business suit and his hair is FANCY~, parted to the right, of course.]

V/O: America needs Gibson Hayes, now more than ever. And Gibson Hayes needs you, America. Donate your money to help Gibson fight off those who would threaten our glorious nation. Cheer on our one and only savior. America, and Gibson Hayes, are counting on you.

~The preceding message was paid for by the American Society for Safety, Health, Obedience, Liberty and Education and generous donations from viewers like you and was in no way paid for by Gibson Hayes.~

Voice of Gibson Hayes: I'm Gibson Hayes and I know this message is 100% true!
Have I told you how much I loathe your continued existence today?

I'm prepared to donate whatever amount Gibson Hayes thinks appropriate to aid in his mission to make America safe from the likes of Joshua Curtis.

And now for the lone "Board Fedder" to do his official intro...

Name's Joshua Curtis and I've been doing this fedding thing since about 1995-96. Don't go asking why I started doing this hobby because even I don't know. My first character in efedding was "Dark Angel" Joshua Curtis and I had him in a fed called "Global Championship Wrestling Association" where he won the Cruiserweight title, but offically my first title was in a fed called "Outlaw Championship Wrestling" with my self-titled wrestler and a character named Judge Reed where they won the tag titles. My first singles title was in an RP/sim fed called "Extreme New Wrestling Age" and during the title reign the fed became "Extreme Hardcore Wrestling".

I have also handled women wrestlers such as Tina Davis, Juri and even Ami Mizuno(yep THAT Ami) and in all cases the three women have won either a US title equivalent OR the Women's title of that fed(NOTE: Ami won hers in a 6 woman tag match).

The first time I ever did a gimmick where a wrestler was either gay or a lesbian was actually Tina in a fed called "Real Pro Wrestling" and started what would become one of the most famous series' in my career called "Past meets Present" where you learned about the past of the Tina and also her girlfriend Juri.

The first time I ever attempted the character gimmick of an openly gay wrestler was in "4 Winds Wrestling" which was an Angle/RP hybrid fed and while the character wasn't sucessful in that fed I found out that I could write him well enough. Fast forward to a fed called NEON when I introduced Zack to the E-Wrestling world and I was not only able to show that I can write Curtis well as the openly gay manager, but that I could write an interesting dynamic with Joshua and Zack and take it more seriously than say...WWE(Then WWF I think) did with the "Billy and Chuck" thing by turning that into a practical joke. At least when I did it I did it with a respect to the community that not many can but I digress...

A couple of lesser known characters that I have tried but failed with(mainly because I found myself to be a chronic "face" writer) are Brad Cummings and Chester Clare and even a character called Brian Cage, whom had the gimmick of being homophobic!

I had ONE heel character that I wrote well but he was based off of a "Gundam Wing" character...actually they both were as I had decided to use "Treize Khushrenada" and his nickname was the "Aristocratic Assassin" and his manager was Zechs Marquis(I wish I was fucking joking)! He won one match and I left the fed he was in called "Lights Out Wrestling" because the guy running the fed(Jesse Jamester if you need him) had a laundry list of things that were basically REQUIRED! One of them was something so shocking I nearly lost my shit because it was required to do news stories!

I also handled in GLOBAL, AWC(Atlantic Wrestling Club) and a fed called Global Championship Wrestling where I had Joshua Curtis and the "Ice Princess" Ami Mizuno win the tag titles as the team "Bloodlines". It was arguably one of the coolest moments because they won their first two matches in the fed...IN THE SAME NIGHT to win them!

One of the biggest blunders that I was ever a part of in e-w was an angle where my "self-titled" wrestler had previously been involved in a match as part of one of the biggest stables in the fed at the time and over the course of a few months after the "Christmas break" one of the members of the stable started a "Jealousy" angle with me and started berating and picking on Curtis' sexuality. I went about my matches and segments as if nothing was going on and I thought he knew that when we were to have a match at one of the big PPVs for the fed called "Wrestlecade". I won on a technicality(he used RPs from a PTC tournament and that was against the rules) and it wasn't till after I lost my temper there and got let go that I was told about the angle.

Anyways I've done and am doing my best to put my past behind me and if anyone wants to talk on AIM(I talk to some of you regularly already, but this is for the new guys) I use AIM as my only IM service. PMs are also acceptable and if you want to e-mail me that info is going to be at the end of this post.

Talk to ya soon,

Joshua L. Curtis

(still not as creepy as Sean Shannon though...)
