OK, so I only got one ballot in response to my attempt to put together a list of most memorable UWF moments, as decided by those who have followed the UWF through its long tenure. So... I decided it might be easier to start a thread in which people can pick their top 20 or so memorable moments, and perhaps we can compile a list together from there as to what really stands out. All you have to do is reply to this thread, and if you need the reference point to get going, here is the link to the list of nominees: http://z7.invisionfree.com/JTF_Squaretable...?showtopic=3668 So now you know where to look to refresh your memory... now you can stop lurking and make your picks! You know you want to! |

And I'll go ahead and start this... 20. Nick Demola's promo at Evolution is interrupted by the surprise appreance of Brody Thunder. When the Demola promo started, it just seemed like it was a time filler and I never expected that, when he addressed Brody Thunder, he would actually show up. When he did, it was a true markout moment for me. 19. Scott Daniels faces Quinn Brown in an Ironman match that was a Match of the Year candidate. Ironman matches are pretty difficult to pull off in written form, but Beeby did a hell of a job with this one... it kept my attention and made me anxious to see who would emerge as the winner. 18. In a word... "Frats" The greatest Fraternity Boys promo done in the UWF. I need say no more. 17. In a scheduled U.S. title defense, Crimson Joe Reed opts out of facing Daniel Kidd, and instead declares that, defending the title for him, will be The Lady in Red. For those that followed the angle, Daniel Kidd was spending more of his time targeting Lady in Red than he was CJR, but kept ducking LiR's challenges to face her. When it finally happened, it proved a great payoff. 16. Chris Hurt throws a match to Tragedy, thereby making Comedy the new president of the UWF. The time frame in which Comedy became the UWF president and Tragedy became more consumed with having power in his hands was definitely Tragedy's best work in UWF. 15. After Jessica "Fatality" Marshall will not allow Alex Extreme a World title shot because he doesn't have medical clearance, it leads to Scott Daniels inserting his daughter Samantha into the match. That was a pretty clever angle that really added to Extreme's continued pursuit of the UWF World title. 14. After nearly a year-long absence, Scott "Hotspot" Daniels makes a surprise return. His return was completely unexpected at the time it happened, when he just seemed to vanish without a trace just as he was hitting his stride as the UWF World champion... and I remember his return was quite the talk of e-w at the time it happened. 13. Donna Tetreault reveals to Simon O'Neal that she has been sleeping with Brian McKenzie. This was the culmination of Simon taking Donna under his wing, only to learn the student had become the master. And "Brian got laid" is just a hilarious crowd chant. 12. "Hotspot" Scott Daniels and Brett Greene announce the formation of The Pride. The formation itself wasn't particularly memorable, but the impact The Pride would have on UWF history means it deserves a spot on the list, IMO. 11. Nina Grimsson and Lisa Drake engage in an impromptu match that literally ends in jail. OK, so I'm tooting my own horn, but when Darryl Northrip and I were putting this together, we just went so over the top to get over the hatred both wrestlers had for each other. 10. Edmond Winston IV reveals he and Jessica "Fatality" Marshall now own the majority stake of the UWF and declare Marshall Law to be in effect. The start of one of the most memorable angles in UWF history... 9. Kyle Lee's victory in the World title match at Rise to Power means the end of Marshall Law. ...and given the circumstances involved, the ending to the angle still came off as quite satisfying, IMO. 8. Chris Courtade subdues the production crew during Live and Interactive and cuts a promo in which he tears down the majority of the UWF roster. The formation of the Invaders was certainly memorable, but this was what got the ball rolling on that angle. 7. The Pride interrupts an episode of Saturday Night Rampage and hijacks the ring, having it raised off the arena floor and toward the ceiling. The angle was spurred because of The Pride becoming upset about all the new talent taking camera time and this was their response. It certainly was unusual, but it worked. 6. The Machines and The Harlequins engage in an impromptu match in a five-star restaurant. One of the most entertaining matches I ever read in the UWF. 5. During Rampage Bloody Rampage, The Prophet is unmasked to reveal that "Doomsayer" Kyle Lee had been wrestling for months when it was thought he was confined to a wheelchair. When I watched the Prophet angle unfold, I never would have suspected that Kyle Lee was the man behind the mask. It was a mystery man angle played to perfection, without turning into a "look at me" ordeal like some mystery man angles end up as. 4. After Crimson Joe Reed secures a UWF World title shot, he turns it down because of his loyalties to AEWA, thus beginning an unexpected heel run in UWF and kicking off the UWF/AEWA rivalry. I really haven't seen a fed rivalry done as well as the UWF/AEWA rivalry was done, and that was during the days in which plenty of people were still feeling their way around as to how to do things in e-w. 3. Paul Wong powerbombs Gus Zampitella off the Unitron, kicking off the heated rivalry between The Fraternity Boys and The Machines. The start of probably the hottest feud ever to grace the UWF. 2. In a towel match between The Fraternity Boys and The Machines, Chris O'Brien shocks everyone by locking the Aristoclutch on Simon O'Neal. And a great payoff to said feud. 1. Alex Kidd and Youth Gone Wild wrestle for the World title at Live and Interactive in a match voted Match of the Year, with the match capped off with Alicia Powers returning to UWF after nearly a year's absence. The Live and Interactive card from 1999 tended to be heavy on angles and had a couple of outcomes which I found disappointng... but boy, talk about a strong ending to a show. I still consider this to be the best UWF match ever written. It has held up well over time and could be argued as belonging in the top 10 of the greatest e-w matches ever. |

The Maloney Brothers become corporate shills for anything and everything. - Kevin Larkin did a fantastic job turning the face team heels, then having them spend their promo times as advertisements for watches and other products, ending with the finale... a promo for WCW's Uncensored 1997. Just brilliant. Donna Tetreault announces... "The Protege" - It's still ongoing, so maybe not a memorable moment- but it's been a great storyline to get over some new blood to the division President Beeby hires the American Dragons to be ringside enforcers for Michael Augustine's Gold Rush match, and the Dragons reveal they are working for Augustine, hence the birth of the Youngbloods. - Next to the Pride, the Youngbloods were the longest-lasting UWF heel stable for people to target. During a brawl between The Machines and The Fraternity Boys, Jessica "Fatality" Marshall debuts and sides with Simon O'Neal. - You can never have too many Marshalls... Fatality has been the UWF's Ted DiBiase- she can turn anyone face by feuding with them After a best two-out-of-three falls match between Crimson Joe Reed and The Lady in Red, Reed proposes to her. - Showing early signs of my biases here :). Honestly, this was my favorite match to write. A thirty-minute draw to end Lady in Red's career. Randall Osbourne shocks everyone by not taking an easy pinfall on Kyle Backwood, and instead rolling Backwood on top of him to give his challenger the World title, then announcing he is qutting. - Unfortunate in retrospect- Osbourne was a great champ, and while Backwood was doing some great roleplays up until this moment, he faltered after winning the belt. But it was memorable. A drunk Trey DaMann attacks Brett Greene, spilling alcohol on him in the process, and then drops a cigarette on him, lighting Greene on fire. - and DaMann goes from silly heel to hated heel at this moment. Donna Tetreault reveals to Simon O'Neal that she has been sleeping with Brian McKenzie. - A new level to two storylines (Frats/Machines and Tetreault becoming a dominant heel) while paying off on all the "McKenzie is gay" jokes that have been siad for YEARS... Diamondback Chris Myers debuts and has words for EMWC President Chris Blue, followed by Ronnie D and President Beeby, and thus the EMWC/UWF war kicks into high gear. - When the IIWF closed down, UWF and EMWC were the two biggest "name" feds in this neck of the woods- everyone had their own taste on which fed was better. Regrettably, we never had a big blowoff that it could have had Youth Gone Wild and Quinn Brown square off in a best of seven series. - Great series with a surprise twist (YGW wins the series in match #6, but insists on match #7 because all the wrestlers can talk about is Quinn's insane spot in the finale match and wants to show him up) Edmond Winston IV reveals he and Jessica "Fatality" Marshall now own the majority stake of the UWF and declare Marshall Law to be in effect. - An angle that shook up the UWF and took it in a new direction The babyfaces in UWF take over the ring, leading to the set up of the Rise to Power matches in which shares go on the line. - The Lee match and the Bonn turn were the final moments of the Marshall Law storyline, but it was an angle that really divided the fed into two parts President Beeby announces the formation of what would become the "much maligned" UWF women's division. - the women's division has taken a lot of flack, but there's been some fantastic characters, stories, and matches in the division. Beebs deserves credit for pushing the division A Saturday Night Rampage in Miami, Florida, ends in a massive brawl involving the entire roster. - Marshall Law finally breaks down into a riot that interrupts the show halfway through, setting up the beginning of the end Serge Annis interferes in a cage match between Bishop and Crimson Joe Reed that Annis wasn't a participant in, and walks out with the World title, taking advantage of a loophole in the match contract, and leading to his dismissal from the company. - an unexpected twist (I know this- I sure as hell wasn't expecting to lose the belt to Annis :)). But it fit the storyline. In retrospect, I wish we could have had a triple threat match as a followup Chaos costs Tragedy his World title match with Scott Rogers at Harlequin Havoc, ending Comedy's run as UWF president. - Tragedy gets my vote as the guy who never had the UWF title that deserved it the most. I was shocked he didn't win the title here Serge Annis defeats Youth Gone Wild to become the first UWF Universal champion. - Setting up the biggest feud of the first year- the monster Annis against plucky face Youth Gone Wild- and laid a lot of the foundation for the UWF Alex Kidd and Youth Gone Wild wrestle for the World title at Live and Interactive in a match voted Match of the Year, with the match capped off with Alicia Powers returning to UWF after nearly a year's absence. - Best single match I ever read. Kidd's heel turn was completely believable, and Wild as the man who took his down made perfect sense "Hotspot" Scott Daniels and Brett Greene announce the formation of The Pride. - The Pride is the UWF's equivalent of the Four Horseman- THE heel stable for all others to be measured against After Crimson Joe Reed secures a UWF World title shot, he turns it down because of his loyalties to AEWA, thus beginning an unexpected heel run in UWF and kicking off the UWF/AEWA rivalry. - Yeah, my biases are showing. I honestly wasn't expecting to get the reaction the angle did, but the first show back had eight flashes from UWF wrestlers vowing to show up Reed. I think I touched a nerve

Here we go, forcing me to dust off this cobwebby brain of the last dozen years. Just FYI, I might lean towards some of the older stuff moreso than the last few years. 20. Apocalypse wins a battle royal for the World title, and as a result, Alex Kidd must hand his U.S. title over to Brett Greene as a result of a bet between Youth Gone Wild and Randolph Chalmers III. <-- memorable for probably all the wrong reasons. Apocalypse was probably not the best choice of a world champion, but thanks to an in-character IRC conversation the bet was legitimately placed and definitely influenced my booking decision at the time. Poor Gib has never gone on IRC since. 19. The Maloney Brothers become corporate shills for anything and everything. <-- Mike pretty much nailed the reasons why this is so memorable, but given that the Maloneys were THE early babyface team in the fed this heel sellout angle was just spectacular. And the shill for WCW Uncensored 1997 was nothing short of brilliant. 18. The Pride crashes the wedding of Alex Kidd and Alicia Powers. <-- while half of this list could be filled with stuff the Pride did like the hi-jacking of the ring or their constant duping of Legion, but this one epitomizes just why they are the Four Horsemen of the UWF. Much like the 4H's beating of Dusty in a parking lot became iconic, for me this was the worst possible thing they could've done to their nemeses in Legion. That Brett Greene and Scott Daniels were ever redeemed after this still boggles the mind. 17. Serge Annis interferes in a cage match between Bishop and Crimson Joe Reed that Annis wasn't a participant in, and walks out with the World title, taking advantage of a loophole in the match contract, and leading to his dismissal from the company. <-- memorable, though maybe not for the best of reasons. Storyline-wise it worked, but this should've been when Bishop won the world title instead of almost a full year later. Can't really blame Sager for losing faith he'd ever grab the big belt. 16. Nelson Taylor, who took on the contracts of the members of Legion, reveals he is working for Randolph Chalmers III, thus making Legion members of the Chalmers Corporation. <-- they might've been popular, but man was Legion ever stupid. ALL THE TIME. This however was the pinnacle, even with all the fake turns made by Pride members over the years, to sign themselves right over to the enemy. If the Pride are the 4H, that makes Legion as a group our Sting. Did lead to one of the most memorable angles of all time though. More on that later. 15. A mystery wrestler set to debut on Rampage is revealed at the start of the show to be "Wild Thing" Kevin Slater. <-- Mike said that the Diamondback Chris Myers appearance was what kicked the UWF/EMWC war off but truthfully this was probably the real start of it. People point to Hall's appearance on Nitro that kicked off the Monday Night Wars, well Slater was our Scott Hall. Without as much booze. 14. In a three-way tag match, Youth Gone Wild and Tom Landis join Scott Daniels and Brett Greene in beating down The American Dragons, leading to the Pride-Legion merger into Tradition. <-- Dusty never joined the Horsemen. Flair never joined the nWo (WWE version doesn't count). But Brett, Alex, YGW, Scott and Tom together. Who saw this coming? 13. Following his victory over Shane Matthews in a street fight, Jessica "Fatality" Marshall reveals to Kyle Lee that she purchased MBC. <-- the start of another of my personal favorite angles, Jessica Marshall - uberbitch. 12. A drunk Trey DaMann attacks Brett Greene, spilling alcohol on him in the process, and then drops a cigarette on him, lighting Greene on fire. <-- a great angle to help legitimize DaMann as a threat, and a heckuva way to head into a fed reboot. :-D 11. Scott Daniels faces Quinn Brown in an Ironman match that was a Match of the Year candidate. <-- a classic heel versus a classic babyface will always be a great story, but this was my third (and final) attempt at an ironman match at a Gold Rush. The first two (Kidd-Annis in '96 was an abomination, from a booking standpoint -- CJR-Annis a few years later if I recall was somewhat better) I always saw as lacking, but this one came out better than I could've hoped for. 10. In annoucing the formation of UWF Eurasia, owner Michael Beeby declares a women's division will be introduced, with Tara "Sunburst" Marshall announced as the first roster member.. <-- man what a lightning rod that division's been. 9. In a War Games match in which the vacant World title is on the line, with the winner the one who makes another wrestler submit, Crimson Joe Reed wins the title by putting a headlock on teammate Brett Greene, who submits. <-- probably the most creative world title change ever written. Let's just agree to forget the Y2K angle that came right after it. 8. Scott Daniels nails his 14-year-old daughter Samantha with a Pridebreaker. <-- I don't remember any one action before or since that's caused as much buzz as that did. Inside the heart of every world champion lies a child beater. 7. Kyle Lee's victory in the World title match at Rise to Power means the end of Marshall Law. <-- the Marshall Law angle for me was the single greatest storyline we ever did, although the major components are out of order for me in this list. The culmination of everything, playing out in a satisfying conclusion. 6. In a towel match between The Fraternity Boys and The Machines, Chris O'Brien shocks everyone by locking the Aristoclutch on Simon O'Neal. <-- COB, wrestling god. 5. After Crimson Joe Reed secures a UWF World title shot, he turns it down because of his loyalties to AEWA, thus beginning an unexpected heel run in UWF and kicking off the UWF/AEWA rivalry. <-- one of the most fun angles we've ever done, and ultimately the merging of two distinct rosters into something better given all the AEWA handlers we basically absorbed from this. But CJR and Mike Sonby was the gateway to this. I just wish "Superman" Mike Stewart showing up could have been even bigger than it was, as I recall his handler wasn't able to stick around too long which might've given us more of a one on one blowoff match than the first RTTG match. 4. Edmond Winston IV reveals he and Jessica "Fatality" Marshall now own the majority stake of the UWF and declare Marshall Law to be in effect. <-- the second part of Marshall Law on this list, the beginning of it. Just an alltime classic way to kick it off, with Winston holding court for all the heels in the fed looking on from various positions in the building. "To evil." 3. Donna Tetreault reveals to Simon O'Neal that she has been sleeping with Brian McKenzie. <-- like previously said, paid off the years of "McKenzie Is Gay" running plot with a truly shocking outcome. 2. Alex Kidd and Youth Gone Wild wrestle for the World title at Live and Interactive in a match voted Match of the Year, with the match capped off with Alicia Powers returning to UWF after nearly a year's absence. <-- in a roundabout way this all came out of the #16 moment, and I've got to agree with Bob and Mike that this just might be the greatest match in UWF history. Two of the most well known names in the fed's history, up until Kidd's heel turn the two most popular UWFers ever, tearing the house down for the world title. 1. A Saturday Night Rampage in Miami, Florida, ends in a massive brawl involving the entire roster. <-- GREATEST SNR EVER. Loved getting to use the entire roster we had plus most of the backstage staff, all randomly paired off and used all over the building. My only concern was that it would be too wrestley for what's supposed to be total chaos and a gigantic fight, but everyone who pitched in and wrote a portion of it did a fantastic job. Came off pretty seamless too, jumping from location to location like it did... and the special Aftermath Show was a load of fun too. There were a few other things I wanted to put on here too, but couldn't justify ranking above these moments above. I'm very curious to see a final tally on the list. |

I'm just going to go in chronological order... and for the most part, the majority of these memories are very selfish. 1997 Randall Osbourne's first appearance in the UWF is as part of the UWF/AEWA rivalry, confronting Paul Reed and punching him in the face. ---Okay, this wasn't something I planned. Nor did I even know about it. I only came to find out about Oz showing up in the UWF when I decided to check out the UWF webpage out of curiosity. Low and behold, there Oz was. God bless Bob Freeman. I took a lot of what I do in the MBC from those AEWA days, but communication wasn't a strong suit, 1998 "The Match That Should Not Be" on the Fright Night pre-show between Tommy Elliott and Billy "Scud" McKenzie. ---I've made many characters with cult like followings in my e-w career, but few have been more fun than Scud. The Lady in Red defeats Steve Ryott in a ladder match to win the Cruiserweight title. ---This whole angle still sticks out to me. A masked wrestler called The Angel reveals himself to be Paul Wong. ---I've always been a mark for The Machines. So this was a big deal. 1999 In a three-way dance at Live and Interactive, Tommy Elliott wins the Skyweight title, and based on match stipulations, Scott Goldstone gets Cameo as a manager because he was pinned, while the third competitor, Joey Valachi, gets a pet alligator named Snappy. ---SNAPPY! The Machines win a battle royale for the U.S. tag team titles at Live and Interactive, in which Simon O'Neal disguised himself as a camerman. ---Again, incredible mark out moment. The "dance off" at Live and Interactive between Billy "Scud" McKenzie and Moe Owens. ---One of my favorite segments ever. In annoucing the formation of UWF Eurasia, owner Michael Beeby declares a women's division will be introduced, with Tara "Sunburst" Marshall announced as the first roster member.. ---And soon after, the Throbbing Mattress Kittens came to the UWF, bringing HLA with them! Kyle Lee announces the creation of a joint UWF/MBC cruiserweight title. ---Also known as the Calista FLockhart Memorial Title. Not because she died but to remember her as she was ten pounds ago... After a best two-out-of-three falls match between Crimson Joe Reed and The Lady in Red, Reed proposes to her. ---I'm a sucker for moments like these... In the four-corners match to determine the UWF/MBC joint light heavyweight championship, both Sam Willis and Daniel Kidd get pinfalls at the same time, thus it's announced they jointly hold the title. ---That championship had issues... which made it more fun... President Beeby announces the formation of what would become the "much maligned" UWF women's division. ---TMK! TMK! TMK! In a six-person mixed tag match, "Doomsayer" Kyle Lee is seriously injured and confined to a wheelchair as a result, the same match in which Erin McCoys takes the UWF Women's title with the help of her friend Destiny.. ---I think at the time, I really didn't have much for Lee to do as a character. Osbourne was going so strong that it was hard to really give Lee adequate time. And I'm also a sucker for injuring my own characters. Thus the wheelchair. Randall Osbourne shocks everyone by not taking an easy pinfall on Kyle Backwood, and instead rolling Backwood on top of him to give his challenger the World title, then announcing he is qutting. ---Osbourne winning the UWF World Title stands as one of my proudest accomplishments in E-W. If I had to rank all time, it's probably number 3. So yeah, I was on a HUGE high with this. Sadly, this particular moment with Backwood came a short time after that high and stands as an all time low. I was dealing with a particular handler at the time and he absolutely killed any and all interest I had in E-W. I don't know why, but he just sapped all the life out of me. I wanted out and unfortunately (and definitely unfairly, to Beebs most of all) this moment in time is the result of that. I'm very ashamed of this whole little clusterfuck and looking back, this was the last time I was able to really do anything good with Osbourne. He was never the same. 2000 Paul Wong powerbombs Gus Zampitella off the Unitron, kicking off the heated rivalry between The Fraternity Boys and The Machines. ---The cornerstone of so many future angles... The Throbbing Mattress Kittens, Scott Goldstone and Steve Hammer frame Kyle Lee for an attack on Tara Smith, soon followed by the surprise appearance of Stephanie Harper. ---The Lee/Smith rivalry was the foundation of so much for the MBC. After Tom Landis loses a loser-leaves-town match to Shane Matthews, he and his partner Daniel Lewis are attacked by Tradition. ---I'm happy to claim the Landis/Matthews rivalry as a MBC product. So anytime I see this matchup, I beam with pride. 2001 During Rampage Bloody Rampage, The Prophet is unmasked to reveal that "Doomsayer" Kyle Lee had been wrestling for months when it was thought he was confined to a wheelchair. ---This paid off beyond all my expectations. Lee's done the masked man routine before but never really as effective as this. Bliss attacks Stephanie Harper in front of Stephanie's family, including her son Danny. ---I'm thinking to myself... that poor kid. He's seen so much crazy crap in his short life... In a tag team match against Eric Matthew Somers and Randall Osbourne, Vyolynce reveals his partner as a tag team partner of his from the past, Avanter. ---I have to apologize to Bob Morris here. If I was on my game with Osbourne, an EMS/Osbourne tandem would have been GREAT! 2003 Following his victory over Shane Matthews in a street fight, Jessica "Fatality" Marshall reveals to Kyle Lee that she purchased MBC. ---There was an upset win over Michael Augustine around here somewhere. Thats when Lee, as a character, became something more. I was finally finding the groove. Revealed to be the person framing Kyle Lee for attacks on backstage personnel is the debuting "Dead End" Derek Martin. ---Props to Bob Morris. Martin really did a lot to help build Lee up as a face. 2004 Randall Osbourne surprises Alex Kidd by revealing the returning Cameo as his new manager. ---This was the first time I had an opportunity to really work with Steve and I still feel bad about it. This feud could have been so much better had I really had my A game with Oz. Steve did great with his side of things. Kyle Lee's victory in the World title match at Rise to Power means the end of Marshall Law. ---Lee's winning the UWF World Title was a huge shock to me because I figured he was just in there to be the face. Low and behold. That moment stands at my #1 all time personal favorite and the match at Rise to Power, a classic. Unfortunately, real life would crash down on me and Lee's momentum was brought to a dead halt. 2005 to the present The new consulting firm for UWF is revealed to be headed by Kyle Lee. ---Planning this return was tons of fun. I hope it stands the test of time. |

2009 -Alex Epstein is the MiB. Wins the title. Then wrestles every hour of every day until he's more crippled than a Portland Trailblazers' lottery pick center. -Oz Rivera is a turtle. Turn him over on his back and he just might die. This is okay, because Tommy Stephens won with a Juan Vasquez-style roll-up pin that way. -Trey DaMann reveals he has cancer. Juan Vasquez proceeds to punch Trey DaMann in the face every single chance he gets in a weird case of faith healing gone horribly wrong. -Sylhouette is assaulted on live tv by shady men, but no one really cares and no one comes to save her because the UWF apparently condones kidnapping. -Kyle Lee becomes the new owner of the UWF. There's no witty remark after this. I'm sure I'm missing some other stuff from this year. |

Everyone has forgotten all about Sylhouette by now, so I don't think it counts as a particularly memorable moment in the year, especially given the fact it was entirely overshadowed by the Vasquez-DaMann match in the same show... even after reading the show you'd already forgotten about Sylhouette's very existence given the stiff punch's impact. It did, I suppose, contribute in a minor way towards creating the single most depressing SNR episode of the last two years (or maybe more, but I wouldn't know). And while they happened in 2009, I'd save things like "Annis returns" and "Lee pwns UWF" for 2010, as that's when the real impact of such things will be felt. |

Not me; she was one of the rare female characters that I found interesting, largely because that storyline was interesting. Which leads me to thinking!
Coincidence? Or should we search Lee's home to make sure there's noone tied up in the basement?

No matter how many lives could be saved by searching his basement, the odds of unleashing some unworldly Lovecraftian horror upon the world are too high to take the risk. Oddly enough, as Gamma Ray's conscience, Sylhouette was getting in the way and had to go. Yet it's that very departure that made her more than a simple throwaway character... ah, the irony. |

The odds that the horror would either get eaten by Tumaffi, set on fire by Serge Annis or punched out by Juan Vasquez are extraordnarily high. And while seeing Trey DaMann punched out and beaten like a pathetic creature may have been depressing, Sylhouette was every bit as tragic, since... A) Everyone presumably saw her tragic fate coming over the course of several weeks and kinda shrugged their shoulders about it. B) Those dudes interfered in the middle of a match and security didn't really do a thing about it. The UWF is clearly an unsafe working environment. C) She's an innocent girl and Trey DaMann probably had everything coming due to years of built up bad karma. D) It builds up a really bad precedence for mid-match abductions(What's stopping Gamma Ray from hiring a mob of henchmen to kidnap opponents for cheap countout victories besides the obvious financial constraints?) As for more depressing SNRs...I cant think of any really, besides the one with the riot that got UWF thrown off tv. I'm sure we can top it! I think this should be a goal we should all shoot for on the next edition of SNR!

I've long assumed that Kyle Lee was kidnapping UWF women's wrestlers and tying them up in his basement in a misguided attempt to get over a bad relationship. I'm planning to make a movie about it called "Forgetting Amy Marshall". |

Everything I learned about soccer, I learned from Dro. You are to refer to Katie as "The Duchess of Der Basterdmusen" as of June 2014. She'll get angry if you don't. You've been warned. | |
