How do you feel about an AWA Women's Divison?
I'm interested and would handle a female character 11 (35.5%)
I'm interested but would not handle a female character 2 (6.5%)
I'm not interested, but wouldn't mind seeing it on a trial basis 4 (12.9%)
I'm entirely uninterested in a Women's Division. The idea makes me sad and you should feel sad for suggesting it. 14 (45.2%)

Okay folks...in the General Discussion area Blue had suggested that he tried this before and the overwhelming apathy...is there any actual interest in an AWA Women's Division?

If AWA added a women's division, I would at least watch with great interest.
Everything I learned about soccer, I learned from Dro.

You are to refer to Katie as "The Duchess of Der Basterdmusen" as of June 2014. She'll get angry if you don't. You've been warned.

How many varieties of describing clumsily tumbling to the mat do you guys know of? I suppose this is where the true writing challenge resides.

The Mammoths and both Martinezes are on the roster...we know plenty of ways to write clumsy.

I stand corrected! In that case... Go for the Women's Division! I'm sure writing clumsy for giant behemoths will transition mellifluously into dainty dropkicks!

I've always wondered what the opposition to women's divisions was. In PVW women were like a dirty word. What gives? The worst women's worker is the same as the worst men's worker just given a shorter match but there was a time when Wendi Richter or Madusa Michelli were as hot as some of their male counterparts.

I'm just messing around. I don't really mind either way, I've just never been a huge fan of the division. I'm sure it's world before in e-w, but I definitely skim by at this point.

The WWE and to an extent, TNA have tainted the perception of women's wrestling in North America. That also has a lot to do with the fact Moolah trained generations of crappy workers, so the matches often weren't that great either. In Japan and Mexico, the workers on the whole are light years ahead of their American counterparts.

Of course, this is silly in the e-w world, since workrate and charisma and all other things are dependent in the writers. I mean, a female character broke the top 5 in our top 200 last year, so it's obvious compelling or interesting characters can overcome whatever prejudices exist.

I myself am having problems seeing how a text version of women's wrestling is different then mens. Other then giving them a different character outside the ring, the inside the ring stuff is exactly the same written. When it never is in real life. Women's wrestling is distinctly different then men's and this never comes across in text form.
