2012 - The Beginning

After the first few cards, a tournament was announced to declare the first ever Iron City Champion. After the tournament was announced, wrestlers were announced for the tournament. As the names were released, the odds-on favorite to win was rising star named Cody Marshall who had floated around the US independent scene for a few years.

The eighth and final entrant was the debuting Retribution, "The Franchise" of quite a number of promotions and a huge surprise to the TRW fans.

Retribution and Marshall were able to win their way into the finals to face one another. Retribution was able to get the early advantage using power moves to work over Marshall's neck. The years of abuse were evident on The Franchise as Marshall mounted a comeback, going toe-to-toe with the big man. Marshall started targeting Retribution's neck using slams and suplexes.

While physical abilities had deteriorated, Retribution's was still a cunning veteran of the ring. Three men made their way down to ringside: a debuting tag team called Heaven & Hell, Heaven Lee Thomas, and the Hell Dragon; and a rookie eliminated in the first round, Kevin Manning.

The latest incarnation of the Underground helped Retribution win the Iron City Championship. The reign of the Franchise began.

Retribution, with the help of the Underground, fended off challenges from Cody Marshall, Adam Calighan, and some other challengers. During this time, Kevin Manning had worked his way up the contention ladder and was named the number one contender to the Iron City Championship.

Retribution used the new number one contender as a shield, saying anyone who wanted a shot must go through Kevin Manning. Kevin Manning had other ideas.

In October 2012, Kevin Manning made the challenge to Retribution for the Iron City Championship. Retribution responded by beating Manning down in the middle of the ring with Heaven & Hell. Retribution agreed to the match, confident Heaven & Hell would give him the advantage.

Manning was able to pin Retribution in a tag team contest in November 2012. The title match was set for December 2012. Retribution brought Heaven & Hell with him. Manning brought Da 'Burgh Nation as his backup.

In a bloody, back and forth contest, Kevin Manning was able to defeat Retribution with the Manning Driver to lay claim to the Iron City Championship.

2013 - The Reign of the Rose City Rumblers
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
In the spring of 2013, a new stable debuted filling the void left by the reformed Underground from a year earlier. A group of wrestlers from Portland, Oregon invaded the Steel City. Calling themselves the Rose City Rumblers, they set their sights on dominating the competition with a ruthlessness never seen before in TRW.

By May, Rob Dire had won the Iron City Championship from Kevin Manning. Manning had faced all types of challengers through the winter and into spring with "Marvelous" Alec Scott being his most persistent. Rob Dire was an opponent more brutal and methodical than he had faced before. Rob Dire was able to submit Kevin Manning with the Williamette Valley Backbreaker to secure the championship.

With singles gold, the Rose City Rumblers relied upon their primary tag team, the New Epitome of Cool, to bring the tag gold into the group. The current champs, Hollywood by Night, were dismissive of the team aping a Hall of Fame tag team. The tag champs assumed these pretenders to be paper copies but were completely surprised by the competent martial arts and brawling skills possessed by the team. Unprepared and out-matched, the New Epitome of Cool captured the Golden Triangle Tag Team Championship for the Rose City Rumblers.

Cole Sloane acted as the enforcer of the group, helping out where needed on the outside and busting heads inside the ring. Cole ensured his group kept a stranglehold on the championships.

Rounding out the group was a lightweight wrestler named Johnnie Magnificent. While not as successful as other members, he played his part for the group.

The Rose City Rumblers continued to dominate through the summer and fall of 2013, taking on and defeating challengers. The use of gang tactics and gorilla hits outside the ring kept them paces ahead of the rest of the roster.

The dawning of 2014 saw the first few cracks in the dominance of the Rose City Rumblers. In February, Johnnie Magnificent lost a Loser Leaves Town match to Chip Cutler. Cutler used the opportunity to secure a title shot in May 2014. Cutler had been vying for a shot at Rob Dire since the new year started.

Cole Sloane was suspended after an especially vicious attack after Rob Dire successfully defended the Iron City Championship in March 2014.

The New Epitome of Cool had been fending off the Lightning Express since February. The Lightning Express had won the first match via pinfall to prove the tag champs could be beaten. The NEoC won the rematch. The third and final match between the two saw the Lightning Express win the Golden Triangle Tag Team Championship.

May 2014 saw the end of the Rose City Rumblers in TRW as Chip Cutler defeated Rob Dire with a surprise small package to win the Iron City Championship.

Rob Dire and the New Epitome of Cool quietly left western PA after the defeat. TRW hasn't seen or heard from them since May 2014.

Early 2014
=================

Fushichou, the alter ego of the former G-Pro Triple Crown holder; Akira Shinashi, spent two months of the cold Pittsburgh winter and in his three appearances the temperature rose in TRW. The Silent Slayer's first action in a TRW ring was in a tag team match, teaming with Shawn Covell against the Lightning Express, Bobby Moon and Ace Sanders. Covell and Fushichou lost the match but when the pictures hit the internet it wasn't obvious. Post match Fushichou sprayed a green mist into the face of Bobby Moon. As Moon staggered in the ring Covell caught Sanders from behind and took him to the mat with his Rolling Cutter that he calls Flashpoint.

Bobby Moon was staggered by the mist and Fushichou hit him with a quick DDT. As Moon tried to get back to his feet Fushichou rattled his mind with a vicious Boma Ye. But the assault did not end there. Covell dragged Sanders to his feet and tied him up with the ropes as Fuschichou ripped the turnbuckle off of the top rope and just bounced the skull of Bobby Moon off the metal. Covell slapped the face of Sanders and held his jaw forcing him to look at Moon's now bloodied face. Sanders begin to scream and those screams for help were answered by the rookie Owen Maddox, who came to the ringside area, chair in hand, and flattened Shawn Covell with it, allowing him to slide into the ring. Fushichou saw the rookie and allowed Moon to slump to the mat. He backed off as Maddox dropped to the mat to check on Moon and then Fushichou charged but missed the Boma Ye as Maddox barely avoided the point of the knee.

Fushichou slides out of the ring as Covell grabbed a microphone and challenged the "piss-ant" rookie to face him without a chair in the head. The rookie wasted no time accepting the challenge, set for the next TRW show. Yet that match never occurred as Fushichou came to the ringside area and grabbed the leg of Maddox as the bell rang. Maddox turned his attention to Fushichou which proved to be a mistake as Covell grabbed the rookie in an inverted facelock and drove him into
the mat with the Flashpoint. Shawn Covell gloated towards the fans as Fushichou slide into the ring and waited for Maddox to slowly push himself to his feet and then crushed him with a Boma Ye. The
impact from the running knee drove Maddox to the mat once again but the Silent Slayer wasn't done as he pulled Owen Maddox to his feet and hoisted him to his feet. Before Fushichou could continue his assault Ace Sanders and Bobby Moon rushed to the ringside area forcing Fushichou and Shawn Covell to bail.

Fushichou demanded a match with the rookie Owen Maddox, which was granted and the Lightning Express would get another shot at Shawn Covell, this time with his returning tag team partner and former REIGN Triple Crown Champion Gideon Frost.

The night Fushichou and Owen Maddox squared off one on one became the bloodiest night in the history of the TRW as Fushichou truly lived up to his nickname the Silent Slayer. Maddox was busted open in the earlier moments of the match as the Silent Slayer slammed the rookie into the ring steps and then rammed his head into the ring post in a sickening thud. The blood began to flow freely from the forehead of Maddox and Fushichou relished it. Every attack targeted the forehead
of Maddox and it looked as though the referee may stop the match but Maddox begged him not too. At one point Fuschichou delivered a Boma Ye, and everyone in the arena thought the match was over but somehow Maddox kicked out. Unfortunately, that enraged Fushichou and the action spilled to the floor once again but this time, Maddox took control when Fuscichou missed a lariat into the ring post. Owen Maddox appeared to be fighting for his life when he finally went on the offensive. He busted Fushichou wide open when he pulled the thin padding up from the concrete floor and drove him face first into the concrete with a bulldog. The crowd was stunned by Maddox's mean streak but they were eating it up since Fushichou had run roughshod over the Lightning Express and Maddox since he appeared. After fifteen minutes of brutality Maddox finally put Fushichou away with the Vertical Suplex DDT.

Owen Maddox was barely able to stand on his own two feet but as his hand was raised in victory the crowd cheered wildly as they witnessed the rise of Owen Maddox from the shadows of his father 'Mad Dog' Matt Maddox.
