Okay, we better get this out of the way early. I'm looking for another person who'd be willing to not play the game and be a full time mod of the game, who will work very closely with myself and GYA (who recently signed on for admin of DWCCRW). We will also be looking at more in the near future pending how things run, how much activity the game has, etc. So all applicants are welcome.

Training will be included, so all you have to be is willing and active. The full time mod will cover all areas, like myself and GYA will be doing, so it will include battle modding.

Other minor mods, such as marketplace mods and embassy mods, and whatever other team we'll need will be sorted at a later date, as you will be able to play and mod those areas.

So if your interested, please PM me, and let me know your knowledge of Conquer games and how they run, the more we know you know, the easier training will be.

One last thing, the game will be released either July 19th or July 26th.

I honestly would not mind that then.

Aurora, Liu Biao was HUGE! In fact Yuan Shao almost seems rather tiny compared to his significance. Long history with Wu Wei and Yuan. Not to mention he was Liu Bei's protector for a while.

Advertising is important, why not go to those sites where people have a dozen role-plays but none of them are well thought out. To them this might seem like the Holy Grail.
Not entirely, he missed a few chances to try and unite the land, instead, merely sat with in Jing and maintained it without so much of an offensive move. Even his actions of protecting Liu Bei was merely to keep his lands safe, hence why he placed him in Xin Ye at the front of the forces.

Im sure Yuan Shao was much more able to come to prominence than Liu Biao,if not simply for the geographical advantage, had he beaten Cao Cao of course.

Hey GS,

What kind of guidelines do you have set up for Created Character skills? What kind of limits do you have in place?

Theres nothing really set yet, I need to speak with GYA to get something up solid which we'll find both balanced and useful. But we definatly arn't after skills that are over-powered, or un-realistic (sure I'm up for a bit of magical stuff, but not over the top).

Skills would need to be pre-approved by myself during creation however, so at the least, we'll be able to guide you if it's too over-powered, or not powered enough, etc.

Skill: Divine Charge - For three turns, the speed of Gogukcheon's cavalry is doubled and receives 3x defense against oncoming missiles and 2x defense against spear/melee walls/charges. However, after the three turns, the movement of Gogukcheon's cavalry is halved.

Read the announcement at the top of the site. The skin being like this isn't to our choosing, Zetaboards fucked up our conversion so we are locked off from the "Themes" part of the admin cp. We already have a skin design all made out and images designed to match on our test forum, but are unable to port the code due to not having access to the "themes" part of this forums admin cp.

Zetaboards claim they are fixing the problem, but looks like they havn't made any progress - apparently the guy that fixes problems is on vacation.

I'm curious on how many skills a character gets, and are perks in this one, or removed?

Right on the money, only one skill per character, perks are scrapped.

as long as these skills aren't like "Tactics have a 100% chance of succeeding", calls up a flood that destroying everything in its path, destroys several thousand men without explanation, suddenly destroys walls, teleports across fields, suddenly have their units' ability doubled, forces an army to do nothing while it is being slaughtered, etc. etc., I'm satisfied :)

Don't worry, none of that is in this. Skill's in this version are specific and won't draw confusion as some skills did in DWCCv3.

And also, for those who don't know DWCCRW information has been put in the blog, mainly the DWCCRW map.

Hey, welcome, right now this game in paticular isn't up and running (I'm still setting things up etc). Though when the game opens, what you'd do is, you'd go to an indicated sign up thread, you'd choose a character (or create one, your choice), then you'd play as that character.

It is all roleplay based, so you'd state your actions through words, the game will have set things you can do, so you won't feel over-whelmed in what you need to do. If you chose a character (instead of created one), you'd be a part of said kingdom, and will be under a ruler, who will take care of you both gameplay wise, and how to play.

The main gameplay aspect is the battles, when you are in a battle, you have troops, siege, etc and you control them via roleplay. Then after so many actions are done, a turn result by a battle mod would happen, stateing what happened that turn.

If you want some prior experience to how things are done, what has happened, I would recommend you take a look at Daimyo Wars (our current game running) or the archives of Dynasty Warriors Conquer China v3 which you can find at the bottom of this forum.

If theres anything else, feel free to ask, or personally pm me, I'm sure fellow members will be more then happy to help.

There will be no skills revolving around tactic power increase, flood summoning, wall destroying (might be a skill to improve siege, but not specifically to blow the hell out of the wall with a click of a finger). There will be skills that increase ones attack or defense, but it will state how much it increases, so it won't be put down to the mods judgement. If the mod mis-understands, I will show them exactly how it is to be done. There will definatly be no teleporting skills (they all sucked anyway).

A question concerning a CC's age:

What year is the game starting at? Is it 200AD or earlier or later?

It hasn't been decided yet, but probably around 200AD, sounds like a good start. Considering none of the kingdom's appearences and such are based on historical date.

Mid to late July from what GS has stated before. If you're looking for something to hold you over to til then, you can always sign up for Daimyo Wars. If can help get you some experience for this game since they're fairly similar from what I have seen. Plus there are a few characters open atm.

As Rude Girl has said, I'm aiming to start the game around July 19th (though I can't guarentee that, it might end up being 26th July), but the sign ups will be happening, sometime early July I'd think.

There are plenty of things to do while you wait, as said, theres Daimyo Wars, if not, you can join in with discussions in the General area at the top of the forum.

The game has not started yet, and if you look here DWCCRW Blog You'll find info on what kingdoms and characters are in it, as well as many other things such as the CAW process.

The game is set to begin this month.

Don't mean to speak for him, but that'd be 07/05/09. European dates go DD/MM/YYYY

Sima Yi ---> [The Dragon]
*Strategist*
Bio: A high-ranking minister of Wei who successfully defended his kingdom against Zhuge Liang, even though Wei's troops lost many battles to Liang. He quashed both the rebellions of Meng Da and Gongsun Yuan, and did so with unmatched speed and vigor. Domestically, he saved the people of the capital from famine by bringing in food from the West and cultivating and fortifying Wei's Western territories.
Skill: Mandate of Heaven - Sima Yi calls upon the Mandate to cause an enemy unit of his choosing to have their attack cut in half the next turn, as well as causing their unit to consume double rations.

I'd think between 16:00 and 20:00 GMT on Sunday, not too sure yet as I don't know what I'm doing that day, but will get a proper time up tomorrow.

EDIT: Just remembered Top Gear's on.. so it definatly won't be happening during the 20:00 and 21:00 hour.
