You really think only 100 people would be approved? I think it would be far more.
But what do I know. I'm not Scope.

I'm just saying that over 100 people won't be on at the same time :)

I wouldn't think so. And that's where . . . a rotation comes in! Unless the server is just ON all the time, in which case, first come first served, if you've been approved.

Don't forget that the plan would be so that you must donate to have access to the server, and you said yourself less then 200 people donate; Some people may be busy, or inactive, so not everyone would be on.

And if the main world was creative, then the plan would probably be that the server would be open all the time. Maybe only the survival mode would be changed to go on and off, and not everyone enjoys survival.

Fair point. I would think, though, that if he created a server it would be in creative: survival would be reserved for an actual LP.

If it's creative I most likely won't join. I'm not a fan of creative mode, however others may prefer it.

It all really depends on what Scope would want to so. Though a 5 person MC Survival co-op would be awesome :D

It would be really awesome, but I think there might be too many impediments to that--finding 5 people who can all record, getting in a skype call--still, that would be sweet.

Okay, but even a 5 person MC Survival Stream would be awesome!! But this thread if about the server :P It really depends on what kind if server Scope wants. If he wants to make a server that's he will be a hide part of, then it will be smaller and it would have to be turned on and off. I get that Rotation would be a help here, but what if some people's it be there when its their turn. (Though the idea if rotation is really good :) , it wouldn't work well when people miss their turns causing other players who would be able to join, not join, and would result in the server not being completely full)
The other option would be for Scope to own the server and just really would moderate and setup the server. This would result in the server always being open, possibly one or two mods (By preference) and more people getting to play at the same time.

Again, whatever Scope prefers is fine with me :)

I'd think 20 slots on the server would be great, its not too much. not too little. applications should be taken very seriously, thats what made mindcrack so well-known. It has to be very exclusive.

That's not the idea we're going for.
First of all, Scope has 15.5+ subscribers. Even if only 10% join, that's 1,550 people. Obviously we wouldn't be extremely strict about the applications. I'd say about 1,200 would get through. 1,200 people on a 20 person server? Good Luck.

A good server costs about $30 per month. If you'd like to see information about the price details, go to the first page of this forum :)
Now, in order to have access to the server, you would have to donate $5+. If there were only 20 people on, the server would automatically fail. The idea of the server is that it will be open if you want to join :) It also would not be like MindCrack. Though it would be fun for Scope to have a MindCrack-like server, he does not have the time to run it. No matter what kind of server it is, he won't have a lot of time for it.
So keep that in mind :)

Well, it could be run like paulsoaresjr, a Minecraft Youtuber, does his. He has "application rounds" every once in awhile, where he puts up the server application thing, and people spam his forum filling it out. Then he closes after enough people do the forms, evaluates them with some other people, and chooses the people to whitelist for that round.

IDK, that's all I've got besides running a gigantic server, or multiples, which would cost a whole lot.

I guess a whitelist works best in this case. For a server with 20 slots, pick 25 people. Because they probably aren't all on at the same time anyway.

A server with 20 spots seems extremely small though considering there'll be at least 100 people wanting on at one time(in my opinion).

You guys, the idea is that many people will be let on the server, and they MUST donate to have access. Please read the first page for more information.
