Gandalf: Now, let's see... Ithildin. It mirrors only starlight and moonlight. [doors are revealed]
Gandalf: It reads: The doors of Durin, Lord of Moria. Speak friend and enter.
Merry: What d'you suppose that means?
Gandalf: Oh, it's quite simple. If you are a friend, you speak the password, and the doors will open.

After a bit of time, Merry solved a riddle and it gave him the password to open the doors of Durin and the Fellowship entered Moria, you'll do something very similar tonight.

This Power Challenge is called "Password to Moria" and here is how it works..

When this challenge starts, you should be able to see a password protected forum at the bottom of the main board here at Helm's Deep called ~ The Door of Durin ~
I will also post a riddle for you to solve, the answers to the riddle will be the password to get you into the locked forum.

This Riddle isn't going to be insanely hard or LotR fan exclusive, so don't start bitching or anything like that...yet.

When the challenge begins, I will post the story of how the Doors of Durin were constructed and some history about them along with a set of three clues for the password to Moria.

Each of the three clue's answers will represent one part of the password, you will use all three clues' answers in the order in which they are given to you to create one long word putting them together side by side in all lowercase letters, and any numbers involved will be plugged in as actual numbers. There will be no spaces in the password.

~ Example ~

This is an example of what will be posted when this challenge begins:

The name Moria means "Black Chasm" and was a derogatory description of the place which the Dwarves did not like much; it was given after the Durin's Bane took over the city. It is therefore a mystery why that name appears on an inscription made in the Second Age, and made in consent with the Dwarves.

Clue #1 - The eighth word in the first sentence.
Clue #2 - The only color that is mentioned.
Clue #3 - The number of times "The" is mentioned in the entire paragraph.

Using those clues, the password to get into the Door of Durin would be: wasblack4

Once you figure out the password, use it to enter the Door of Durin, once inside you will see three immunity rings, one for each Fellowship here in Middle Earth, the first person from each Fellowship who posts the immunity ring for their Fellowship will win Immunities tonight.

~ Immunity Rules ~

You are playing tonight for Sole Immunities, One from each Fellowship. The person from any Fellowship who finishes first in this challenge will win the right to destroy a Ring tonight which will determine if this will be a single or double Arena boot round.

If the Round is Arena, the person who finished this challenge first wins Immunity for their entire Fellowship and the other two who finished first from their respective tribes will win sole immunity each and their Fellowship will attend Councils tonight where each Fellowship will send one of their own into the duel.

If the Round is Double Arena, The first person from each of the three fellowships who finish the challenge first from their respective fellowships will win sole immunity each, and all three Fellowships will attend Councils tonight where each will send one of their own into the duel.

The Doors were constructed in cooperation with the artificers of the Elven Kingdom of Hollin, sometime between S.A. 750 and 1500. The two greatest craftsmen of the Second Age, the Elf-lord Celebrimbor and the dwarf Narvi, built the Doors in order to aid the two people meet and cooperate, since Hollin was on the west side of the Silvetine.

These were the days before Sauron's dominion in Middle-earth, and the friendship between Elven and Dwarven kingdoms was a rare and special event. During this peaceful time the Doors stood open, allowing unfettered trade, but with the beginning of the War of the Elves and Sauron the Doors were sealed shut. When Khazad-dûm was abandoned in T.A. 1980 the way of opening the Doors was forgotten.

Clue #1 - The total number of times "Doors" appears in the entire passage.
Clue #2 - The thirteenth word in the first paragraph.
Clue #3 - The third year mentioned.
