Stars once sparkled over the skyline, in New York City, but clouds loomed closer swore vengeance with terrible down pour and rumbles of thunder in distance. The night sky had surged with blue electricity. This was the type of night of the demons come out to play among the angels of the world. With cards played right the scent of blood would linger with rain to create pools of revenge for the fifteen million dead? Or more? Human life was purged in memory here.

For the humans she did feel something mixed. Part of her was still of the X-Men, the other part was dancing like a lepercon on St. Patrick's Day. It was strange feeling to feel so pulled around. The voices in her head were quiet for the moment but they soon would be making a racket. Rogue looked out of the ocean from a top a piece of unstable building. It was like she could fly if the thing fell or crumbled. Right now she knew that Momma had her doubts and her showing of mixed feelings would doubt her even more.

Maggie seemed to be ready for her though. Yeah, Maggie. The idea was crazy of her. Rogue had sworn she had died. Maybe it was just a dream. Everything seems so up in the air now, like an abstract painting. She missed Remy. Rogue missed their fights and southern babble that kids figured they would be taking classes in. The smell of that damn cigar was missed too and Ororo's hugs to make her feel better. Rogue sighed, knowing she had made a hard choice and she had to live with it. She was seeing to much death on the side trying to make things right.
