Why did you guys pick your current navi?

Still playing the same character, after all these years!

Hey guys, I have a burning question for all of you.....

Why did you make your navi the way you did?

ie: What made you make your navi the way you made it?

Lemmie go first......

Starting at MMBN2 and ending at MMBN4 I had what you might call a "Crack" deck, meaning I specialized in cracking all of the panels, and using chips such as Godstone, FireDragon, etc., etc.

This is about the same time I started designing my Navi, Aeonman.exe. I wanted to give him the ability to break panels, which would make my job of using those chips easier. If you look at some of my earliest EXE fanfics, you can see what I mean.....

Anyways, I wanted to give him a name that reflected that ability. First I thought, Timeman, but that was too unorigional. Breakman, uh-uh, Then I started listening to my MP3 player.....

The song that inspired the name you ask? Partacle man, by They might be Giants....Yeah, weird I know, but hear me out...

Remember this line?

"Universe man, Universe man, size of the entire Universe man.
He's got a watch with a minute hand, millenium hand, and an EON hand.
Powerful man, universe man."

did you catch that? EON hand....Lemmie sum it up for you

Eon
–noun 1. an indefinitely long period of time; age.
2. the largest division of geologic time, comprising two or more eras.
3. Astronomy. one billion years.

Also, aeon.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Origin: see aeon]
Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1)
Based on the Random House Unabridged Dictionary, © Random House, Inc. 2006.

And a synonym for Eon?
AEON

here's another for you:

Aeon
noun
1. (Gnosticism) a divine power or nature emanating from the Supreme Being and playing various roles in the operation of the universe [syn: eon]
2. the longest division of geological time [syn: eon]
3. an immeasurably long period of time; "oh, that happened eons ago" [syn: eon]

So, what happens when time marches on? Things break, things die, things grow old....I dunno, like PANELS?

So, Aeon, synonym of Eon, which means an immesurable amount of time, which is the amount of time it should take panels to break, which is what I did in BN2-4, which is why I named my navi AEONMAN!!!!!!
*gasp**gasp**gasp*

Now that I have broken my navi down, how about the rest of you?

Teal: My favorite BattleChip of all time is the TankCannon. 'Nuff said.
Tiefling: People always use ultimate warrior Navis of doom. Thus, I brought in the Gajira genre.

Well, Twin was inspired almost PURELY out of thoughts of randomness.

A while back, I used to play a sort of "Megaman DnD" with a small group of friends. I designed a navi, but soon hated it. Even with a tub of Model Magic, I couldn't seem to make even the best design for it work! Then I started reading astronomy magazines. I was scanning the horoscopes (For fun mind you, I don't really believe in them) and checked through them when "Gemini" caugth my eye. I figured "GeminiMan would be a GREAT outlet for randomness!" At the time, I didn't know that IWD existed, and I bitterly regret making my character so similar to their version of Geminiman, i.e completely insane. What I DID know at the time was that my little group had broken up.

So, I turned to the internet, searching for MegaMan Exe RPG's. Wouldn't you know it, but I found "EXE Warriors". After perousing that sight, and getting swiftly banned, due to having two accounts due to a computer glitch on my part, I turned my eye to Google once again, and found myself here. I FINALLY had an outlet for My navi! But what to call it... I thought of variosu names, all of which sounded stupid, when I heard my mom's TV in the next room over: "In Minnesota, a pair of Twin's was..." and I had my answer. Twin.Exe was born.

Radiantman:
completely obsessed with light and Colonel at the time, the weapons were there 'cuz i couldn't thnk of anything else.

Twilight:
still obsessed with the light, and now with Colonel Soul, the Twilight Blade abilities were based on certain scenarios i made in my spare time.

Divine:
recently played MMX8 again, i found that Zero's ice attack was kick-ass, so i used it as Rasetsusn(another of Zero's MMX8 attacks). for AfterSword, it got it off from Omega's Double Shot Wave. the name Hyorinmaru came from Hitsuagaya Captian from Bleach. And i am STILL obsessed with the light

I like Raccoons, and girls with mallets. So I just merged them together, then got the idea of metal armored claws from a "Whose Who Hunt Elves" episode. I also based it off my priestess on the Battleon RP.

yoyoman: while playing BN3 two years ago i got a bright green yoyo that i used until the string crapped out on me. while using it, i deemed it a possible weapon. then i put two and two together. Yoyoman was made about a month before i got here, albeit he wasn't going to be my navi when i decided to join, but lack of anything better and... well. thus yoyoman was born, and i got so attached i made several other forms of him just to keep him going. <<;

... oh, i also found that wacking your brother in the head with a yoyo caused considerable damage to his skull, and then if you were to put saw blades around the edges, it would be quite deadly.

Meh... Gundam fan and I just love the Forbidden Gundam(the only original thing Seed/Seed Destiny made in 100 episodes...) that and the fact I saw an image of it as a Gundam Girl in the New Type magazine(as I recall) which oddly, fite quite well in the MegaMan EXE universe(you know human in armour with odd weapons).

V2... meh... stupid idea, mixed the Forbidden with funels...

VError... wanted to make a true Variable navi on the board... Then I re-read Buso Renkin so though of making something like Papillon... a failed version of the navi... then I re-read my topic with DaemonMan and all the 'fun' I had with the DarkAura so I thought: why not a bugged version of it? So I eliminated the Deflectors, set element too neutral and well... that's it.

EDIT:

Oh yeah and there was DrakeMan Beta at the very begining... frankly when I joined I had no real idea of what to do... so I tried to find something to get inspiration from and well the one thing that came in mind, for some reason, was Spitfire from Metabots...

Bored of life. Or life got bored of me. Meh.

Well....At first when I came here, I created a REALLY old a n00bish profile, for "Dynamo EXE" because I was feeling unoriginal. (Still am) I came back a couple months later after I learned a few things about RPGs like this and created Buster EXE, based off of Buster Gundam because I was building a Master Grade Model Kit while typing my profile. Then came Ein.....This should sum it up. Kirote and I play too much Riviera. Enough said.

Tree Trunk: Well I started with this one from a load of scrap. Seriously I didn't know what to do and if I would like it here, so I just made him to see what would happen

Dusk Needle: There was more thoughts on that one. I was to introduce my NPC and thought of giving Tree Trunk to it, but then I would need a new navi. And then it struck me, we had no Invis navi, to my knowledge and if I'm wrong I want to know, so I decided that it could be nice to have a stealthy member in the family and made him.

Oh no.

I think I mention this before, but anyway...

Before I came here, I used to use proboards alot. Slash was one of my first charaters. At that time, I was playing X5, and I HATED how X used that Z-saber. During my first Reploid RP, I want Zero as a charater but that was taken, so I just renamed it and made a few modifications and it bacame Slash, but still wasn't approved. Then, I got the idea of fusing both X and Zero into one reploid, combining the features of both. Slash was my pathetatic attempt at that. Unfortunally, it kinda closed down. Anyway, at that time, I was reading college years by AMZ (I still say Season 1's the best.) and i just followed the link on chapter 55 and then BAM, I came here. I was still quite a n00b at RPing then, so I just created a really crappy profile based on my old profile and a modified version of Silver. Well, SOMEHOW, it got approved, and yeah, that's it.

Chaos Bahamut, Warrior of Valor, twice upon a time... the two being "then" and "now" :P

At first I played DarkMan. He was played as closely to his official bio in the games as possible.

Next game "ChopMan." I stole the ten-sword style of fingerblades from Captain Kuro of One Piece, and modified the claws of Deathtanz Mantisk from MegaMan Zero 3. ChikaChika! >.>

The blades sucked, and I had found a new awesomeness to steal from One Piece, the tonfa-shaped iron beatsticks used by Gin/Ghin in the Don Krieg saga. Netto's Weapons Shop being in existance at the time, I traded weapons without having to delete my Navi--I also changed the name. "ChopMan" was a bladey name that happened to be also the name of that one murderer hired by Kaiba to get rid of Yugi in Death T. "GrandMan" was the best One Piece-Ripoff-Blantantizing name I could think of, after the Grand Line.

Just recently, I revamped the abilities altogether; I wanted a guy who was useless one-on-one, and I REALLY wanted to use the GODMODE Cannon (interestingly, I ended up editing that out of my profile at the last moment before approval, remembering that I had had plans to use that empty VCU I got off someone a while back as a beating device :P)
The name GreatGrandMan was something I really thought was loltastic. And it's way better than "GrandManV2." XP

GGM is also meant to emphasize the sidegrade-not-upgrade nature of Navi changes, by being if anything a downgrade of GrandMan XD

V-Kirote: ....Wanted an evil side, Mr.Jake helped me.

Riviera Characters: I love Riviera. Nuff said.

Neonim: I always like the whole: Goant knight with undentable armor kind of thing, so I made it for my NPC.

They're taking the hobbits to Florida!

My first navi was simply Solar.EXE, a navi that was supposed to be based off of Django. He was great and all but he lacked in what I would call a real background and soul. Then came the way he came out looking, no matter how I looked at him, he always looked like Zero, which gave me the thought for a new navi which is my current one.

SolarZero.EXE: My new navi. A fusion of my original navi and in his story, Zero's programming. I played off his past as a failied version copy of Zero.EXE. His moves copy the Zero from the site, but with my own twists. The reason his moves are slightly different is cause he still is made from the nightmare virus program that allowed him to become more powerful. Add in a few plots to reawaken and complete the bugged program and you got SolarZero.EXE

abba-zabba, you my only friend

Goog... Elphine's story is a bit long...

It basically started about four years ago, when I decided to join a Headbone chat room. The name I wanted, Da_Master, was taken, and the next thing that came to mind was El_Master.

On there, I started a rudimentary form of chat-rp, and, as paer my user, my charrie was normally reffered to as El, and was normally described as a MMX version of Zero with white and gold armor.

After a little bit, I found a forum RP called Everlain. When i joined, however, it became evident I needed a last name. Off the top of my head, I picked the nost Japanese-sounding name I could: Yukamara. Thus, El Yukamara. Sometime during the site's duration, a member with an anthro character joined. Remembering Shippou from Inuyasha, I followed suit, and decided to make Elphine part-fox.

A year goes by, and the administration decides to remake the board. At this point, El's image changed to wearing a silver robe, boots, and gauntlets. They remake it so about four times. By the time the fourth remake comes around, they have merged the RP boards with another site's. Not wanting my charrie to look as crappy as he did in HeroMaker robes, I simply dressed him in red armor of my own style, taking away his helmet.

More time goes by. I revisit the site, which has been made into a real-life RPG. Trying to make the charrie fit in, I extend his name to Elphine, thus making him Elphine Aduro Yukamara. The Aduro came from another board I joined, which required middle names, and also gave me later inspiration for his fire-type abilities.

Somewhere in all this, I had begun to write a Megaman (Manga-based) fanfiction, starring Elphine (re-christened Kitsune) as netnavi, and Kage Kamigami as netop. After I found this site, it was my intention to use these characters, but I scrapped Kage in place of J.G., another character I had, because I wanted to play someone mysterious. Kitsune's fire type was mostly a result of the rules- he originally was supposed to be sword type, but it was banned at the time, thus he became fire-tyoe, in accordance with the color of his armor.

Thus Kitsune V1 was born.

Kitsune V2 (AKA Kitsune NT) was a result of the Ninetails saga. I basically gave him a sword and his special subweapon he still has, as well as altering his armor design. Also, nine tails look cooler than one.

Finally, KIT-776evo was a creation I made after I was inactive on the site for a long period of time. Wanting to have a more in-depth character, I completely redesigned J.G.'s history, and renamed Kitsune.

To dissect the name:

KIT- The first three letters of Kitsune.

776- Since 777 is the perfect number by religious standards (Seven three times), 776 represents near-perfection, since Elphine was the last unperfected FInal Model.

evo- Simply something I added on. It has significance, of course, but nothing symbolic.

The Sacraficial Burden was created mostly because I felt my Flame Control was a little too powerful. Thus I gave it physical form, so it could have a weakness.

I also recently re-wrote my profile after joining one of the BLEACH sites SH posted, bringing it up to par with my charrie there. Which means I'll be having much fun with J.G. in the future...
