Doesn't that mean we have not BROKEN the light barrier? Merely RAISED it? *runs around, leaving a trail of fire* |

Well they used a light pulse which isn't the same as an actual beam of light. But the fact that we can mak a pulse of light go at a speed hundreds of times faster than the universal constant of light then the next step is to find a way to make items with mass able to travel at such speeds. After that it will be living items traveling at that speed and living. |

They'd need an incredibly strong shock-absorber then. The only way to test if it's alive is to STOP it, so.... |

How are we going to travel at the speed of light? We can barely have people travelling at highway speeds, and we still have crashes. That's just my thought. |

When we get to the stage of moving at light-speed with mass, it'll be a miracle we don't burn outselves into nothing from the air friction in the first few thousand miles per second. |

Girl scout cookies does that to me some times. Kinda like Puppy Chow since I can only eat it once per year, and then it's gone, no refills. The sheer flavor makes me giddy. In any case, the thought of lightspeed makes me happy since we are on the verge of first contact. |
