Let me start off by saying that I'm not sure how many people have seen this, but I'm presenting it anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF8Ve2Dk6-0 Basically, the guys at GameTrailers.com have tried to assemble all the Zelda games into a logical timeline and this is their theory so far. |

A friend of mine believes that Twilight Princess was meant to re-merge the split timeline. |

Dammit, I can't find it! Only thing I remember is the game order... Minish Cap | v Ocarina of Time | v Majora's Mask | v Wind Waker | v Oracle of Ages/Seasons | v Link to the Past | v Link's Awakening | v Original LOZ | v LOZ2 I haven't figured out which order the others go in. |

Really, the only thing that you can be sure of in the series is OOT->MM->WW, so I'm fairly certain that you could put the other games in ANY order, due to the underlying ambiguity. |

Alright, I ignore the Oracles games and older ones, but Wind Waker is almost definately one of the last games, happening AFTER a massive flood. OoT is first, with Majora's Mask happening DURING OoT. Twilight Princess happens some time after this, possibly after A Link to the Past. After this I get hazy on the details. |

How can Majora's Mask happen DURING OoT when Link is looking for Navi in Majora's Mask? She's with him through the entire Ocarina of Time. My theory is that Twilight Princess happens after that second WindWaker game that they're developing. I won't know for sure until I've played the game myself though, since I don't know what hero they're calling Link in that one. |

OOT is split into two halves, present and future. Link gets sent back once he beats the game in the future, and THAT'S when he goes lookign for Navi. |

I believe twilight comes between Majora's Mask and Windwaker and of course after Phantom Hourglass as it is to be a direct sequeal to WW |

I'll watch the video later, sorry. But I can still get involved in the discussion! Nintendo says TP is between OoC and WW. THEY SAID SO, I SAW IT! >.> *ahem* Oh, and OoC is first because that was Ganon/Ganondorf's origin, and EVERY Link fights against him once :P (Actually, I'm not sure about Minish Link, since the one from Four Swords and then Four Swords Adventures seems to be a different Link... Enh.) Link and Tetra/Zelda went off and established a new country which they named Hyrule, just like they said they were going to. I gots me a list o' the timeline from an expert on these stuff whom I met in a dealers' room. 'Fraid it's incomplete, as several more games've come out since then (the Fours of Swords, Minish Cap, that sort of stuff), but it's a BIG start XP
So, there you go. And we know where Twilight Princess fits, as I mentioned above (Decades after OoC, but still before WW, I think the news-thingy said... I followed a link from an e-mail >.>) That still leaves Minish Cap, Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures... and I think that's it, right? THINGS WE KNOW ABOUT THAT: The Four Link: Four Swords Four Swords Adventures We can tell this from the stories in the instruction books for those two games; that FS came first and had the same Link. Well, actually, we can pretty much tell just from the GC version's instructions (that would be the Adventures). Said books also indicate that the following is a different Link, as well as: Minish Cap takes place before the Four Swords games, as it is the origin of both Vaati and the Four Sword itself. Any questions? Comments? Et ceteras? BRAINS FOR EATING?! *nyum nyum* |
