This is about the robins and cardinals that are living around our house in the 15 foot tall fir trees. For the last week and a half ever since the snow vanished, they have been bombarding our windows and glass doors with kamikaze dives. And with each strike, they get up without a scratch or a sign of dizziness, fly around the house, then attack another window or glass door pane. Today, they had learned how to headbutt the windows over and over by standing on the ledge. Now our window has multiple white 'fractures' from the heatbutts, and I believe that the other windows have also been 'woodpickered'. They appear to be highly thick-skulled despite their small brains, since they never seem to get a concussion from slamming head-on towards the windows. I can't scare or surprise them because they seem used to humans and just move around the house, and it's driving our dog nuts. Please advise on how to kill those birds so I can finally get some peace and quiet in the house during my reading time. |

lol, we had that same problem on a much smaller scale. At my parents house a few years ago there was this one bird who kept running into our windows, for hours on end every day. Pissed us off so much, we must have destroyed it's nest and eggs at least 10 times too. |

Well, you could scare them of by making loud, shotgun like noises and having bright flashy lights near the windows. Or better yet, layer the outside of your window with a wire mesh and attach a live electic cable to it. When the bird smash into it....ZAP! |

Or that "Kaw" movie, but they haven't broken the glass just yet. But the dents are noticable. We don't have a shotgun, I don't know where the birdseed container is, and the nest has yet to be found. My brother thinks I'm being paranoid. |
