Well, we had a discussioon on the Legend of Zelda Timeline, irght? So why not the Final Fantasy one? I got the idea from Wikipedia. The quote was: "Also of note are interviews with scenario writer Kazushige Nojima and producer Yoshinori Kitase in the Final Fantasy X Ultimania Ù and Final Fantasy X-2 Ultimania guidebooks, which revealed that Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X-2 share a plot-related connection, in which the Shinra corporation in Final Fantasy VII is founded by descendants of Shinra of the Gullwings in Final Fantasy X-2." Well, there ya go! We know for certain the order of three games in the timeline: FF10 FF10-2 FF7 Of course, that's assuming there isn't a game in between 10-2 and 7. Anyone else got theorys? |

I think those three games are the only ones that are actually connected like that And FF12 is connected with FFT and FFTA. They're set in the same world. |

*Flies down from Final Fantasy Land* Actually, FFTA is an alternate time line from FFXII and FFT, but it does take place in the future of the other two games. *Spoilers I guess* Mewt ends up reading about FFXII's Ivalice and uses the tome to make a copy of it. *End Spoilers* Also, FFT takes place MANY MANY years after FFXII, this is why there are no more Bangaa and etc., they went extinct. Also, Final Fantasies V and VIII are connected, they are in alternate universes. *Spoilers I guess* When Gilgamesh is banished in V, he is sent to VIII, that is what he is talking about when you first "Summon" him, the FFVIII world is where he is the whole time he is missing in FFV. *End Somewhat Spoilers* *Flies back off to Final Fantasy Land to play Chocobo Tales* |

How the hell can you place the FF games on a single timeline? Don't they all take place in different universes? |

I can't remember which, bt on NuklearPower.com(8-bit Theater's website), in the "Twinkin' Out with Red Mage) section, an extensive and detailed theory is proposed. And Alternate Universes is a POSSIBILITY, but there are ways to link the games together. |
