Batteryman returned to the Battle Colosseum the same way he had left it in his previous match with Duece--a brilliant flash of lightning, heralding his presence to anyone in the vicinity. This was followed by a crash of thunder that most likely deafened anyone in the immediate vicinity. Batteryman sighed. His battle with Duece had been fairly uneventful. Hopefully this person would be more of a challenge. Duece had had promise, but a seasoned Navi like Batteryman required a more...cunning opponent. Reflecting on how peaceful the NetBattle Colosseum seemed compared to the bloody events that would follow, Batteryman charged up his SuperArmor and equipped it. Hopefully he wouldn't have to face another embarrassing ordeal like his battle with Magne. Being chased around the battlefield for the duration of the match was quite humiliating.

A flash of dark green light appeared in the Colosseum followed by a small humming noise. From the light rolled a navi with tank treads for legs which seemed to be making that sound.

"Howdy, I'm your opponent, Armyman." He said, waving with his left arm, the other looking like a small sniper riffle. "Let's have some fun, but you get the first move."

Program BoomBoom and SP Health Regen activated.

Batteryman raised an eyebrow. "I suppose if your definition of 'fun' is getting hurt, then yes, you will have a great deal of fun."

"Let me know as soon as you're ready. People who fight me tend to be...shocked...at what I can do." As Batteryman spoke, a small discharge of electricity came from around him. Batteryman assumed a fighting stance.

"Funny, they say the same about me."

Batterman did not take the first move that was offered to him, well he better regret that. Armyman quickly aimed with his sniper and fired his high accuracy Lock Shot. (High plus BoomBoom deals Very High)

Bic:

BatteryMan didn't regret it, however. He delayed purposely to gain enough charge counters. ArmyMan and fallen for his ploy. Activating his Prime re-charge ability, BatteryMan drained all the charge counters he had. He knew that soon he would gain 2 charges per turn for the next while. Everything was going according to plan.

BatteryMan began running towards ArmyMan as soon as he had saw ArmyMan raise his weapon to fire. He had also activated Wideshot 2, sending 3 blasts of pressureized water, 2 of which were at ArmyMan's treds, and the other at his chest area. His treads would be a much easier target than normal legs, as they were bigger and harder to menuver out of the way.The attack's devistatingly fast blasts of water were now seconds from hitting ArmyMan, which, thanks to the ice stage, would incase him in a block of ice, hopefully long enough to let BatteryMan hit ArmyMan again.

ArmyMan's attack grazed BatteryMan's sholder. BatteryMan hadn't quite been quick enough to avoid the attack entirely. His super armor had helped, but not enough to reduce the damage to the point that the damage became superfical.

Grimicing, BatteryMan got to his feet and got ready to fight again. He chuckled, somewhat disconcertingly. Did pain ammuse him? It certainly seemed like it. However, the truth was that BatteryMan was simply glad to have a challange for once. His latest fights had been boaring. Perhaps now he would be able to feel the true hell of a cyber-battlefield. Too much peace would make a navi soft and weak. To stay a hardend soldiar of the ONB, he needed navis who he would take long enough to defeat that his net op could finish a mug of coffee before jacking him out. His last few opponents couldn't even have lasted half that time. BatteryMan looked at his opponent

"Good...good. Now show me more. I want to see what you can do if your life depended on the outcome of this battle."

In the real world, Nazomi was worried. BatteryMan was acting strangely. True, she hadn't known him very long, so this could very well be normal behavior for him, but she didn't like it. It was boarding on...bloodlust, if that was indeed possible for a navi.

Amyman laughed as the Wideshot came in aimed at his lower body.
"They always aim for the treads..." He thought, as he deactivated the bulky things and converted to a pair of medium sized legs. There would be no way to avoid the chest shot, so he simply jumped over the ones aimed at his former treads and was hit by the last one while airborne.

Armyman slid on the ground upon landing which served as a minor inconvenience. After quickly jumping to his feet, Armyman activated his Asteroid3 Chip. (Fair per meteor for four turns with Moderate plus BoomBoom Sorry if you hate me doing this, but I find that it helps out.)

"Good God, those things are useless. If it wasn't for the ice resistance and the ability to make my opponents think I am bulky and slow, I would have Drift take them out of my programing..."

As ArmyMan was now encased in ice, courtacy of BatteryMan's ice stage, BatteryMan took advantage of his opponent's immobility and pushed off with his one of his feet, skidding out of the way of ArmyMan's asteroid and quickly moving into range of ArmyMan. Since MachineGun3's accuracy was so low, BatteryMan had to be sure he didn't waste this oppertunity to attack. Now BatteryMan was only a foot or two from ArmyMan, who now resembled a popsicle more than a net navi. He unleashed his Machinegun3. With a loud burst, the Uzi fired 8 rounds right at ArmyMan, who was now close enough that it would take a miricle for Machinegun 3 to miss. BatteryMan began to skid away from the ice cube due to the recoil of his weapon. This was fine, BatteryMan didn't want to be too near to ArmyMan when he broke free of the ice.

Armyman took all eight Low shots head on which really sucks ass, but thankfully, he was free from that wretched block of ice. Upon being free, Armyman slid back, firing his awesomely accurate MarkCannon3 at BatteryMan's chest area. Looks like this is going to have to be a long range battle... A small ding could be heard as Armyman recovered Pitiful health as the Asteroids continued to fall.

Batteryman pointed his MachineGun3 to his right and fired randomly into the ground. The recoil of the MachineGun caused him to slide across the ice, out of the way of both the MarkCannon shot and the Asteroids. The resulting blast left several WaterPanels since the asteroid, a Fire-type attack, had hit the IcePanels. Batteryman continued firing the MachineGun3 at the ground, accelerating his slide across the ice. He turned to his left and continued firing into the ground, accelerating himself until he was well out of range of his opponent. Batteryman frowned. This was turning into just what happened in his last battle, where Magne chased him around the field half the match.

ArmyMan reactivated his treads and rolled backwards on the icy terrain below him, the treads leaving small scuffs in the panels as they gripped on and provided stability. Once at a nice distance back, ArmyMan fired his two Seeker Missiles at BatteryMan. The missiles flew directly towards the other navi one behind the other in a straight line, the one behind breaking off and making a small arc in towards the ONB in an attempt to catch him off guard. The cool down made them a rarely used tool in AM's arsenal, but the pay off with dealing Very High damage each certainly made up for it. With this display of long range prowess, hopefully BatteryMan would stay the hell back, melee battles were not his thing.

After both BatteryMan running far out of range and ArmyMan moving back, the distance between BatteryMan and ArmyMan was such that BatteryMan had ample time to avoid the attack. Too much time, in fact. As much as ArmyMan disliked close combat, he would have to get closer to effectively attack BatteryMan. BatteryMan fired his machinegun 3 at the ice, avoiding the first missle as well as the asteroid that was comming down at him. The second missile (which armyMan had arched to throw BatteryMan off his game swerved towards him, so BatteryMan was now moving towards it. BatteryMan looked up and saw the missle closing in on him

"Shit!"

BatteryMan fired his machinegun at the ice infront of him, causing him to slide back, away from the missile. Unfortunatly, the missile continued to follow him like a blood hound, relentlessly persuing BatteryMan. Battery judged that the missle would catch up to him in a few seconds since the missle was moving faster than he was sliding. BatteryMan ducked, causing the missle to fly over his head and plummet into the ground, exploding behind him. The blast errupted from behind him, throwing him off his feet and causing him to throw out his arms so as to not face plant into the ground. He slid across the battlefield (which resembled more of a skating rink than a field of battle) and got to his feet, finally coming to a stop. The missle explosion had singed him slightly, but he had been lucky to avoid almost all of the attack.

"That was way too close.." he thought.

(Isn't Ice Stage used up?)

Armyman chuckled as he had BatteryMan moving all around while he sat there reveling in how the ice panels were being scratched and how many were melted from the meteor shower that had passed. Watching BatteryMan dodge the missiles was fun, especially since he had just had a close encounter. AM hoisted up his MarkCannon3 again and fired another one of the Cursor shots at the enemy navi as an attempt to catch him off guard after that spectacular performance.

OOC: The stage remains icy until someone slots in another field chip. The chip itself is used up, but the effect reamains ongoing until someone alters the field again. It says so in the rules or something...

Bic:

Again, because BatteryMan was so far away from ArmyMan, this attack was dodged with relative ease, using the machinegun3 chip to blast himself across the ice and out of the way of both the MarkCannon3 attack and the Meteor. Allthough the ice near ArmyMan was melting away, the ice near BatteryMan was still relatively new, since BatteryMan changed locations each time he dodged by sliding across the ice to a new area.

(Yeah, but in your chip list, it is labeled as unused.)

This was getting repetitive and boring so ArmyMan changed from his MarkCannon to his more reliable Lock Shot. Taking a quick second to aim his sniper, ArmyMan fired a single bullet at BatteryMan, aimed at his left shoulder in hope that either that would hit or he would move to the right and it would have a better chance of landing Very High damage.

OOC: One of them is unused, the other is used up. I slotted in two ice stage chips, I just haven't used both of them yet.

Bic:

Although ArmyMan's lock shot was considerably more reliable, the distance problem was still unresolved. ArmyMan fired his Machinegun3 chip at the ground again, this time only avoiding it narrowly, thanks to Lock shot's greater accuracy.

BatteryMan sighed. He hated having to wait out the enemy's custom like this, but he had no choice. His opponent had something of an advantage at the moment, and BatteryMan couldn't attack with impunity until he was able to resolve that issue.

Armyman gave out a small yawn due to a lack of anything going on. He fired another Lock Shot at BatteryMan which was bound to miss, and he called out to his opponent.

"Hey, are planning on attacking me anytime soon?" He asked.

OOC: I'm not sure if the Meteor thing is over yet. I know it's supposed to last 4 turns, but I lost track of what turn it was on...

Bic:

BatteryMan didn't respond. He hated overly chatty opponents. It detracted from the battle and wasn't necessary to combat. Instead, he simply did what he did last time, using MachineGun3 to avoid the Lock On as well as the asteroid attack by firing it into the icy ground. He slid across the ice again, wondering if his opponent would ever figure out that he needed to fire where BatteryMan was going to be, as well as where he already was. That way, BatteryMan would simply move right into ArmyMan's second attack.

AM did not realise the tatic BatterMan was thinking about, but saw that his cool down on the Seeker Missiles was complete. He deactivated his treads and bolted forward, stopping on the ice like one does when slidig on hard wood on socks. This sent him sliding forward where he pretended to aim with his sniper so it seemed that he was trying to make up for the long distance problem.

This should have gotten BatteryMan to get ready to slide, so ArmyMan reactivated his treads, halting him on the ice while at the same time, firing two more Seeker Missiles. One fired high into the air while the other moved this way and that in a zigag pattern, that could give a small child a headache if he tried to follow it.

OOC: Okay, I assume that Meteor is over now. If that isn't the case, just tell me and I'll edit my post instead of being a jerk and auto-hitting me like most people on this RPG would.

Bic:

BatteryMan didn't quite respond as AM would have predicted, however. He instead fired the Machinegun3 infront of him just as AM started to move towards him so he slide backwards (instead of right or left out of the way). Then, as he saw the seeker missiles being fired, he waited until they locked onto him. The missiles were guided, so they would compensate for the distance he was moving on the ice. As the missle that was high in the air came down on him, he fired his machinegun3 again, avoiding the attack, although only just barely. A second or two later, and BatteryMan would have gotten a face full of missile. However, the zig-zagging missle closed in on him second and this time, BatteryMan couldn't dodge. Knowing this, he activated the EM Shield pulse mode of his Discharge buster, creating a powerful electrical shield in front of him which the missile collided with and dissipated harmlessly. The force of the missile caused BatteryMan to slide at surprising speed across the ice. This put him even further out of range. Now BatteryMan was barely in ArmyMan's sight range, due to him sliding so far backwards.

Well taht wasn't how he expected it to work, but now would be a good time to try and end this. Armyman rushed forward, sliding on the ice towards BatteryMan, ready to activate his treads when his enemy would surely fire his guns. Once he was closer to the ONB, he junged forward in an attempt to grab him. While he was rushing forward, ArmyMan launched his GigaRatton3 PA behind him where it first went opposite of the two navis, but changed direction and came forward to hit them both, regardless if getting a good grab.
