I have had this car since im 20 years old. Back then I had a 69 Camaro got it for $500 it was 3 different colors but it had a worked small block in it. I worked at the time at my Dads Deli in Bellmore L I. A few doors down was a kid with a black 69 Camaro. I used to catch him at the light after work and challenge him to a race. He never bit. I figured his car was nice mine wasnt it would be a fun kill for me. He got tormented for months, I used to tease him alot. One thing I was sure of the car wasnt abused hell it didnt even get it legs stretched out at all. So one day he came into our Deli and asked me if I wanted the 69. The second he left I got on the phone and borrowed begged and gather every penny I could come up with. He wanted 7 grand I got her for 6 grand. Never looked back. When I got it the 69 still had the 327 2 BBL carb and the power glide all original 80k and AC ! No wonder he didnt want to race. Since then I did the motor, its a 70 4 bolt mains 202/160 fuelie reproduction heads nice cam edelbrock performer rpm Holly 650 double pumper hooker super comp longtubes flowmaster exhaust and 342 posi out of 79 Z plus beefed up springs. Still has under 90 K on the clock. when I was younger I drove this car every day and every where it actually got driven to hunter mountain in a snow storm. what was I thinking ? a Also got driven through my ex girlfriend bushes (by accident) but thats for another time. In 2006 I got engaged in the car and in 2009 my first son got his first ride in it. This car will be with me the rest of my life and one day belong to my kids. It has been a hell of a ride and the car has seen me grow up ( well sort of ).
My 1st 69 ( went better than it looked a lot better )
