His father actually being a government official for the US government. He was more of an aid more or less, and had run for government office a few times himself. But after losing so many times he figured he could help change things from the inside, swallowing his pride and taking back seat. His mother is a retired scientist, working largely on agricultural studies. She’s currently a professor atlocal university teaching Biology. To say he spent his life in luxury was a bit of an overstatement. His parents worked for what they had, and so did he. However being born around the tragic date of 4/01 Jason grew up with a sense of knowing. Understanding sadness from an early age, learning that he had lost family members a result of the April's Fools event. Quite a way to spend a birthday. His father fought tooth and nail to keep him out of trouble, but it was difficult. Jason had been a bit of a problem child growing up. While he was generally calm and well behaved around his mother, Jason felt some form of animosity toward his old man for seemingly no reason. But it was later discovered that Jason was aware of his father’s drinking habits and simply abhorred it. Even confronting his old man on the issue at the age of fifteen. Despite the discussion and what many outsiders would feel was a hostile situation Jason’s father listened, understanding that his son did care about him and was worried, however he was also an angry and fairly emotional young man. That said he didn’t know how to properly express himself which lead to him acting out. These family problems worked out they all grew closer. With Jason eventually shaping up. While he never truly slouched in school. In fact he took courses at a College near the city of Brea while still attending High School. Though despite his bright future it seemed Jason had another calling. The Army recruiters seemed to really hook him. And when he graduated at the age of seventeen. He begged his parents to let him enlist. His mother was obviously against the idea. She was never one to support war. And had often spoken out against it. However his father respected the idea. It was Jason’s first choice as a man. The first “real” choice he would make that would affect him for the rest of his life. So Jerrid told Jason to think about what it was he was planning to do. To really research it and make sure he wanted to go through witeek later Jason had made his decision, sticking with his choice. His father agreed, and grudgingly his mother gave him her blessing as well. So his father drove him to the nearest recruitment station and he processed in. taking the physical and passing, and shipping out for basic some two months later. While in basic he racked up points on the range, and in CQC courses and exercises. Having the talents of a Marksmen combined with great reflexes and hand to eye coordination pointed to a bright military future of Jason. Many said so to get him pumped up, but that usually resulted in extra PT for him as a result. So much to the point where he started to dread standing out at times. Though he didn’t slack as a result. Upon completion of Basic, Jason was elevated to combat training. Spending a lot of time out in the constructed field where the instructors broke the would be soldiers repeatedly. Getting them used to certain environments while having them practically camp out and live off the land for almost a week. Jason would admit he had fun, though the ambushes weren’t exactly fun. And an incident that resulted in a fight lead to Jason losing his position as platoon leader and he was forced to spend several days in “the hole”. But he felt that it was all worth it to feel that guys jaw snap under the pressure of his knuckles. Upon his release he rejoined his unit, finishing training and graduating with the Rank of Private First Class. Less than two weeks later Jason was shipped out with his unit to the middle east. While stationed at Firebase Bravo Jason would occasionally accompany the usual relief convoy or just do combat patrols. There was a local little valley that they always had to pass through which almost always got hem ambushed. Though the skirmishes were never really serious. One mission saw Jason's Platoon escorting supplies along a route that took them through the costal city of Basra. However he was unable to really enjoy the view. The hood of the lead humvee was blown clean off by an RPG of sorts, luckily the crew was unharmed and the vehicle was luckily still intact. At which point the convoy started to speed down the streets, however repeated fire coming from the city left the soldiers in a tough spot, it was difficult to get a clean shot. And with people running all over the place the convoy was forced to slow. Resulting in another rocket hitting one of the trucks housing some supplies, a mix of ammunition and other tools bound for fire base Bravo. It created quite a fire show, the Striker's in the convoy were finally cleared along with the rest of the troopers. They sprang into action, returning fire and setting up a perimeter while the soldiers were recovered from the flaming vehicle. One suffering burns while the driver was IA. Medics moved quickly, securing the injured GI while Jason moved behind the open door of their Humvee and provided cover, using his ACOG scope to select his targets carefully, observing the over head windows and placing his shots. Downing two snipers. One on a third floor complex, the second in the next building over on the second floor. His last kill was an insurgent with an RPG on the roof, his buddy had an AK. Getting his Corporal's attention the fire team put high volumes of fire toward the Duo. Putting them down quickly and getting back into their vehicles. After mounting up and salvaging what they could...especially the dead trooper. They secured him in another vehicle and sped off. Returning to Firebase Bravo with a little over half of their supplies. Surprisingly not coming under fire through the valley. Upon his return Jason felt a little jaded and cold. It was his first real experience with death. The fact that he was so close to it was a wake up call, he couldn't treat war like a game. As time passed he found it weighed heavy when someone died. He wasn't entirely sure how to take it and held mixed reservations on that note. The rest of his tour was a mixed slushy of action, some engagements just being potshots, while otherwise were fully dug in. fire and maneuver. It was odd having to switch back and forth, but he learned how to adapt in urban and open areas. fighting various types of insurgents. Once he rotated back to the states he took his JNCO course to be promoted to full NCO as a Corporal. He was able to spend a month with his family and took a Recon Sniper course at Fort Benning. He learned how to virtually become a Ghost on the field. Gaining the abilities to greatly adapt to his surroundings, observe and report was only half of it however. The second part was shooting which he had always been fairly good at. From that point he addopted a mask giving off the visage of a skull, a ski mask so to speak. His skills as a marksmen were in the low 90's on the range. Graduating a little over a month later and being transferred to a QRF unit. He was tasked as a fire team leader, also doubling as one of the squads marksmen. He was equipped with the a DMR, which quickly became his signature weapon through the rest of his military career. Following his next rotation Jason was scouted and put up for selection within the Airborne’s Special Forces drafting. Having the choice to try for a Special Operations unit. He decided to go to take that offer. Always being one of the fast movers and enjoyed working with tight small groups. Not to say he couldn't handle being in a normal squad, or even a battalion for that matter. He just enjoyed the variability of being a fast mover. Somewhere almost midpoint through the course Jason understood he was at a whole new level. While rocky near the end Jason graduated, earning his dagger. Another trophy to matching his hogs tooth which he wore around his neck. Within the course of three months, Jason was assigned to a Special Forces team. Operating largely in Europe for the rest of his career. Putting in over a year into his service as SOF operative he was once more put into selection for another program... While he had mixed feelings about the way the front lines were changing Jason understood the changing times. To that end and with the support of his teammates he accepted his invitation to what would become the wave of the future. It was his physical ability mixed with his know how of working various crafts. Mainly shuttles and aircrafts for exfil whenever he and his boys had to get themselves in and out of an AO. By this point the Staff Sergeant applied to OCS and switched his service branch to become a mobile suit pilot. Indeed Jason believed with fighting fire with fire. His training took place largely on earth, occasionally getting a chance to operate in quarantined areas in space. But by the time he got his wings Jason was being sshuffled around durring the events of JOSH-A. And with Panama hitting his easr Jason quickly learned of the death's of some of his buddies. That struck home fairly quickly. Jason ended up with basically the ODA of the mobile corps. Thankfully his superiors had great heads on their shoulders and he didn't have to take orders or even go near Azrael and his taskforce. While the Dominion did serve as a flagship Jason had his own orders and battle group to guard. He had token the controls of one of the standard Daggers in which he preformed well enough to stay alive and even rack up his own list of prowess. Following the battle Jason's. Dagger was missing both legs from the knee down and the head. He was picked up by another surviving unit and moved toward the TSA. Given their views Jason and many of his surviving buddies viewed this as the right choice. And later found out that their own military and pulled together a private unit working against Azrael. And frankly there were quite a few good men and women who would've jumped at the chance. But due to its well needed secrecy knew nothing of it, and in turn many of them died for something they didn't fully believe in. As time passed Jason returned to Earth as an instructor for infantry units. Remaining in the mobile suit corps as a reserve. This allowed him to perform several black ops for the CTF in turn seeing things he never wanted. Such as the Extended labs. It drove Jason into truly hating theBlue Cosmos group. They were thugs with money and little regard for human life. That said he built a personal hate for them. He remained in the EA under a President that was intent on making the world better. Someone that Jason wouldn't mind following to the end if he had too. However that chance of hope was torn away when he was killed at Armory One. Jason was quickly brought back into frontline duty within the mobile suit units. He spent a good twenty eight days to ashow he still qualified for frontline combat and deployed in Slaughter Dagger.(Dagger L) He spent his time fighting against radical remnants throughout the earthsphere as a member of the JSF. Unfortunately his operation as a member of the Joint unit was cut short as he was officially pulled back into the Earth Alliance. As a soldier of the Atlantic Federation Jason had to raise arms against those that were once his allies and brothers in arms. To that end he was quite confused but didn't question his orders as he engaged with the JSF on several fronts. By this time Jason had swapped his Windam for a Strikeblade and had transfered to Phantom Pain, which he had believed to just be another SOF unit. With the revelation of LOGOS, and in turn their links to Blue Cosmos and all they had done Jason defects just before the attack on Armory One. And despite the process is making steps to right the wrongs he had commited under the banner of Logos. RP Sample: |
