Lita wrote the matches, made up most of the card, and I did the shorties.

Everyone did well this week, I only have two notes to make;

1. Nightmare, you would do better in your matches if I could believe the character of Nightmare is... likeable. He assumes he has the fans' support because in-character he does. The fans love him. Out of character, I'm just not convinced. He lacks a certain amount of charisma. Panache. I'm not really sure exactly what I could say to help you along, but we'll use the Batman analogue you're so fond of. Batman is COOL because he's a caped vigilate with a tortured past that dispenses a scary, gritty version of justice. Batman is LIKEABLE because he is witty, has a good sense of observational humor, and because despite the fact that he's FUCKING BATMAN, he doesn't act superior (unless he's scaring a specific villain). I'm not necissarily sure that's advice, but it's something I noticed when reading your RPs this week. Otherwise good job.

2. Wiggs. I've seen this crop up a couple of times, and it happens in other peoples' RPs, but not as much as yours. I find your RPs difficult to judge when, despite the fact that they're Ghost RPs, they're very Lesbiana-centric. This didn't happen so much THIS week as LAST week, but it did seep over a bit. Lesbiana is a fun character and for all intents and purposes Ghost's manager (much like Billy Fuckin' Walker is hide's) but when they're both booked it becomes... odd to give a victory to the character of Ghost when the character of Lesbiana was the one who pulled the weight in the RP. Nothing really negative in that, just... I dunno. Something to chew on. Those of you who have managers that also wrestle as lower-tier wrestlers may also take heed of these statements, as they do apply to everyone.

I've had a fucked up week, and I'm honestly sorry the show's so late. I didn't want to do this extra day to you guys, especially after extending the deadline, but it's incredibly hard for me to get up at 5 in the morning and function so my sleep schedule and the activities of the day before get... um... ruined. Most of the reason I extended the deadline was because I needed the time to get my internet back up and take care of some personal matters, and am not just going to leave you hanging like That Other Fed with nothing to do but hope for a show.

There will be a thread Behind the Curtain shortly about NGIW as a whole. Trust that it's positive news, but please read it.

Thots?

Okay. Totally understandable. :) I've become a lot more comfortable with the Nightmare character lately so it'll be easy to try to make some modifications in order to try to match what you're talking about. It was really fun going up against Wiggs again for sure, but maybe what you're talking about, combined with it perhaps just not being my time contributed to the loss.

Ah well. Grats to Wiggs!

I can tell it's getting easier. Your RP quality has ramped up by leaps and bounds.

Kinda doing something else right now so I just checked out Dexter's match and as far as Roger got in the BR.

Didn't really expect Dexter to win. Truth be told, I completely forgot Dexter had a match. Sorry. I remembered it the day I rped so hopefully it didn't show too much in that.

Rogers match I knew he wasn't going to win. The only people who probably didn't know were those who didn't read the RP. I am a little upset though in the manner he was eliminated. Would've preferred to see him just hop off then wave the other contestants off instead of just jawing. But whatever, I am a little upset though that he threw a fit. Whether Lesbiana eliminated him or not, or even if it was Nicolette or Kennedy, I don't think he'd care. Because he didn't care about the match. So that's just the one major problem I saw in the match.

Party on,
Joe.

Thanks for the input. Now that we know we can make sure he acts a bit more true to character in the future.

I won't lie and say I had a lot of fun writing that I did for NGIW. That has nothing to do with anyone really, just I couldn't seem to grasp a hold of either one of the matches. Still, I'll discuss them in full as I did have quite a bit of control over at least one of them.

#1 Contenders Battle Royal
I was so excited for this so Jaime could be on commentary. It's a trend whenever I get one of my characters on commentary that I can't wait to write it. Then when I start writing, it just feels flat. I guess that holds a sense of realism as most wrestlers suck as guest commentators. Oh well. I'm really enjoying writing Kennedy for the first time in a very long time. Her booking in That Other Fed was so bad that I lost any and all excitement for her a long time ago but now I'm finally having fun with her again, so it was nice to have her included in this battle royal, even though I knew she was losing from the get-go. I've always loved writing Kennedy and Jaime in each others' faces as I feel Jaime represents pretty much everything Kennedy was before her "evolution" phase.

Anyways, I made the decision to have Roger Desmond gone first. Wight told me to eliminate Nicolette and then Roger but here's my reasoning for what I did: Joe put in his RP that Roger wanted nothing to do with this match and would walk out on it. I know this isn't how things are done in That Other Fed but as far as I'm concerned unless special arrangements are made via pre-planning, a character should be written the way the handler suggests in instances such as these. Roger didn't want to be in the match so why should I have him fighting like he does? Lesbiana eliminating him was just to give Joe a little something to work with from here if he'd like. I really enjoyed the Lesbiana/Nicolette portions and hope Wiggs and Brandie don't mind me pushing a little rivalry between the two characters.

The reason Nicolette was given a decent showing despite no RP from Brandie was because it was made aware ahead of time that she didn't have access to RP on at least one of the original deadline days and abstained from RPing on the extension to avoid looking like she was taking advantage of the extension. Plus, Brandie usually puts out a valiant effort on every other occasion. This is an exception I think everyone should be allowed every once in a while.

My favorite part of this match was probably the past match action. I enjoyed writing the Jaime/Lesbiana part a lot.

Grant Rice vs. Ken Freemonte
Couldn't get into writing this either for some reason. Ken's offense falls into the same reasoning as Nicolette's offense in the battle royal. Other than that, there really isn't a whole lot to say about this. I think it's fun having Jaime accompany Grant to the ring and apparently I love her getting into it with my own characters. Lol. The post match didn't have quite the zing that I had originally envisioned. I'll blame it on not being in the mood to write when I sat down to do these.

Glad to see Chester pick up another victory but unfortunately it was under the terms that it was under. Swytch allowing Chester to have the victory was a little odd considering they don't really see eye-to-eye with each other and especially after Chester called Kennedy a bitch and threatened to rip her throat out. Then again, Swytch is a crazy SOB and probably has a reason for what he did.

If I could ask you as well, Wight, am I not eligible to write matches anymore?

I suppose I didn't illustrate it too well in the match, but my mind's in pieces. It was more Swytch trying to feed Chester to the lions, as it were... except that Chester really did get to take the opportunity to show that he's the "better man" or whatever I typed.

Edit @ Night: You are, I just didn't get the results for that match out in time and didn't want to try to ask you to do it so close to the deadline. As it turns out that would've probably worked out just fine, but eh. Live and learn.

Sorry about that. I was thinking with how arrogant he is that he'd be upset at actually being eliminated rather than walking out on the match. I didn't mean to make it look like he was upset about losing, but that he didn't get to do what he said he'd do. Either way, sorry if it was out of character altogether.

Wow, Lesbiana eliminated EVERYone. I mean I knew she was awesome but I didn't know she was THAT awesome.

I was intrigued to see how Roger's would act in the match after reading Jo's RP and I'm glad Lita stuck to him leaving rather then have him fight on. I actually liked how he got eliminated and figured, as Lita said, she was just trying to stoke up a rivalry. Though after that match Lesbiana may end up with three new arch nemesis' to deal with. The post match bit was great too, was cool to see her and Jay teaming up. I loved the match, though I guess I would since Lesbiana won so totally. :D

As for the ME, yeah I didn't really like how it ended but I understand where Wight's coming from. I've thought the same thing about how Lesbiana can sometimes dominate Ghost's RPs but I thought this week I'd centred it more on Ghost with Lesbiana as the comic relief. I was really happy with how it came out but I guess it still needs work.

If you're referring to Swytch's involvement, that was all me and you (Ghost) wasn't supposed to like it. It was an idea I came up with as a way to try and spice up the Swytch/Ghost rivalry that is obviously continuing a bit longer. I feel that a lot really hasn't happened between the two, despite feuding for quite some time. I'm assuming it has a lot to do with Wight being so scatterbrained due to personal issues that he has recently resolved. So hopefully with that and me pushing my way into helping book some feuds other than the Grant/Jaime/Chester angle that things will start to get a little more unpredictable.

The Flycore Contender was as fun read. I thought it was a pretty good match, overall. Nice to see Jaime on commentary, and the aftermath was certainly interesting.

Ken vs. Grant was interesting to read as well, even if the result was a given. The fact Ken was treated equally in the match and not squashed is fine with me, since as stated, Wight gave a good reason as to why he was unable to RP in the original deadline and him holding out on the second deadline is respectable. The little Madison/Jaime showdown at ringside was hot stuff.

Chester... Chester... Chester. That little promo delivered by Chester was written pretty good, even if I don't agree with the content. Overall, I think it was another good show and has me looking forward to the next one.

Figured the Swytch/Chester tag would end that way, or something close to it. I did like the involvement in the ME from Swytch. I'll get to an explanation of that when I RP, and I'll do that soon, I promise. Like tomorrow.
