OK. Controversial PPV, but certainly not in the way it has been the last few months. However, I want to try and quiet any worries those in our viewing and roleplaying audience might have before they become overly dramatic problems, as seems to be the soup du-jour of late as far as OOC goes.

First of all, everyone who roleplayed did a great job, and I'm really happy to have a good turnout for the PPV with all things considered, that including my error in booking Nightmare, and with the deadline date.

Roleplays for one reason or another were hard to decide this week, for every single match. I'm confident that what I and those I've asked for input have come up with are fair results and I hope nobody walks away from this PPV feeling sore.

I think Jaime/Lesbiana is going to be an interesting feud if Wiggs and Lita are willing to run it. I like the "mean-but-clueless Jaime" that Lita has cooked up in response to the super-face that Lesbiana is, and of course I love Lesbiana to death. Both competitors are likely to be around the Flycore title for a while.

The main event and the tag team championship both ended long-standing feuds that have had varying degrees of success for one reason or another, and while I think we need a break from those specific feuds, I can definitely see us returning to them for unfinished business, or even the losers of the matches to return to compete for those titles in a realistic amount of time. I'm sure everyone will agree that seeing the same feud pairings over and over again for so long was getting a little stale. Hopefully we can get some new talent in here and shake things up even more.

Once again, a very special thanks to all of you for putting forth your creativity and effort. This fed wouldn't exist without you, and I want to make sure you feel recognized for all your hard work, even if you happened to walk away with a loss this PPV.

One more thing I'll address and then you guys can get to your feedback. It's far less positive as the stuff up above.

We've been having a lot of problems in OOC lately with people starting drama, doing some mudslinging, getting catty, and getting just plain rude. I know for a fact some of it is trolling to generate interest in OOC, but I think it's reached the point where it needs to stop. All of it.

I'm not an unapproachable man. I'm not usually on MSN, but the PM system works just fine. If you have a problem with something you think is unfair on the board, bring it to my attention and I will deal with it. If you think someone is breaking the rules, taking advantage of someone, or anything else that would be a violation of NGIW's short list of dos and don'ts, let ME know PRIVATELY. Calling it out in the open just starts drama. NGIW is not a forum where we hide shit with smoke and mirrors. You'll notice that no matter how embarassing or foolish, I do my best not to lock threads or delete posts in order to allow our issues the room to breathe they deserve.

This does not mean every little imagined (or real) infraction needs to be aired like dirty laundry. It certainly doesn't mean people need to start calling each other names to meet their ends. We're mature individuals here and I expect us to act maturely, for the most part. Goofing off and having fun is one thing, but the first sign of disagreement and everyone is acting childish and petty. I won't have it.

I'm not Oni. I'm not going to invent a big, mean ogre of a character to police the forums and hand out warnings and temp-bans to any who violate the smallest of rules, but if someone becomes a problem and refuses to act like an adult, I'll take what measures I need to make sure they don't ruin the enjoyment of the rest of the board with their actions.

I don't need any apologies or "brave" admissions of guilt. I'm not asking for friendly, empty words. Just stop doing it before I have to lower myself to acting like a dickbag.

*coughs*

OK, so, feedback. Lita did everything from the beginning of the Flycore to the end of the cage match, I wrote everything else but the lyrics to War Pigs, which I'm pretty sure was Ozzy. Card comes tomorrow as I am tired as shit.

Thots?

I gotta head out to work so this'll be quick.

No hard feelings about the ME at all. It's been a loooong fued and it was time to end it and frankly that's how I always expected it to go, with Swytch finally getting the win over Ghost for the title. Congrats to Mo, he's earned it, and I'm looking forward to Ghost taking a break from kicking Swytch's ass and fueding with someone else. I might even take her in a slightly new direction.

To be honest, I'm disappointed Lesbiana lost. Kinda thought I had that one in the bag, but I guess my ego got carried away there. Didn't expect Jaime's actions, that was an interesting twist on things, be interesting to see where that goes.

Kinda sucks that I lost them tag straps but thems the brakes I guess. Nice to see though that that feud is over along with several others. Not to say that I hated working against Dai, just that things did seem to begin feeling repetitive not just for the tag situation but almost everywhere else. Roger winning was sort of a okay win because I wasn't really a fan of the match itself. I've probably let my thoughts on that known a few times so I won't go any further with it.

Though I will say, not to open up a huge discussion over it because this is as far as I'll go, cutting out the drama kinda defeats the purpose of having an open forum. Saying that people aren't allowed to bitch or complain or whatever in a public standing seems a bit pretentious. Not everything in the world is smiles and sunshines with glitter as Mimic and Nicolette ride unicorns at each other, people have differing views and eventually those differences in opinion seep out. Do they sometimes sound childish? Hells yeah they do, listen to Lita argue that Jaime is better than Roxie...does that not always sound like playground squabbling? Because we all know the truth. Roxie's better!

Right, focus on the topic at hand, yeah people will sometimes turn their written version on their view into a pissing contest whether it's intentional or not. And that's clearly going to upset some people and people would most likely want to defend their views themselves than call on someone to step in. It's just human nature. But it's at that time that people will turn simple discussions into heated arguments. And yes that does suck, it sucks big time because it sucks all the fun out of things. Unless you're me and you just go "Dance, puppets, dance!" To me the biggest problem people need to overcome here is that they need to understand that the world isn't full of thems and the song "One Vision" by Queen, though good as it is, shouldn't be taken literally. People have different opinions, otherwise you wouldn't traverse the OOC in search of them. That's all...until someone says something different!

Party on,
Joe.

I did read your post in its entirety, but this sums up the part I want to clarify...

I'm not saying "don't bitch!" by all means, bitch. But there's a time and a place. There's a difference between complaining to the general manager that someone is (in your view) being unfair and underhanded than just standing on a soapbox and shouting your opinions in a self-superior manner. Hell, if some of the threads that have pissed me off over the last month were addressed to ME and not the general public I probably wouldn't care as much, or I'd be upset at different people at the very least. Because then when the general public invades it's their own damn fault for sticking their nose where it wasn't needed.

At the core, I'm seeing a lot of people both privately and openly who think that other entities in this fed are "out to get them". I'd understand if it were people thinking I was being a biased GM or something, trying to push the glass ceiling down (hell we've had that happen enough in the past it's old hat by now) but it's RPers thinking other RPers have some sort of malicious grand conspiracy.

Dude, really? Really, dude? You think someone is undermining the forum rules and striking out at you for the sake of getting away with being mean to you over the internet? AND you're upset about it?

Maybe it's the hardened 4chan veteran in me who knows better than to grapple the troll, and maybe it's just the analytical half that knows some battles aren't worth fighting, but unless you have some concrete proof of these nefarious schemes and a good idea as to exactly what you want to happen by bringing it up to ME (see how I stressed that? "To ME") then I think you can shrug it off and contain yourself.

Speaking of Roxie, I think she'll be getting a lot more play in the coming months. Your fervor for RPing with her is at Lita/Kain level, and I'd like to see you earn some victories on that head of steam.

Firstly, this Roxie/Jamie debate is pointless, when we all know that Jenny Chennault is the best female e-wrestler on the planet.

Secondly, yay, shin Champions [also, congrats to Mo on his new belt,]. Always fun. Was working on a second RP where hide actually appeared, but it had like one good bit of Engrish [which I didn't even come up with. Funny story, riding in the Dan-mobile, ended up in the wrong lane at a roundabout, and had to ride about 3 miles down the by-pass before we could turn around. As we were on the slip road, he exclaimed that "This is better shut up."] and nothing else of any substance. We going to use a different name for the team now? Either way, working with Wight is always fun. I'm running three characters right now, between here and that other fed, and as always, ebbs and flows between the lot of them [right now, it's Daisuke I'm having most fun with; guess that makes sense, considering my name;] but hey, still enjoying it here. Long may the Mathemalicious Violence continue.

Thirdly, it's my experience that long blocks of text in forums always come off as being a lot more imposing and serious and a lot less fun than they are intended to be; and it's easier to construe someone as having a bit of a huff when they write one, even if that's not the intention. "Much Text = SERIOUSNESS" is just my gut reaction to a long paragraph, be it an essay on why Jumbo Tsuruta is the best wrestler ever, or whether there's too much 'drama' in efedding. Can't speak for any conspiracies though.

EDIT: New card too. Yay! It's been nice knowing you, Tag Titles.

Up to you, my man. Graver doesn't mind flying the H-city gang banner if hide doesn't. Even though he's pretty sure Billy just made up the word.

I like Mathemalicious Violence myself, but it's a bit of a naff name for a team. I'll see if I can think of something better before the next card.

You know the worst thing about being the beltmaker? Having to delete your characters title sig from your image host and change the name to someone elses. Damn you Mo, damn you.

Bitching. If I can think of something better than the H-City Gang, since now we're at the point where neither Tag Champion ever stole anything from anyone in Huachuca City; which was kinda the point of the exercise.

Cheers for the banner though.

Alright, title histories are fully done up with funky new image. Just one, 'cause I'm too lazy to create new ones every time someone doubles up a title win. So sorry, Dai.

And, although I did say I would put it to rest, I'll say that I felt like saying "Pretentious" because Mick Foley said it and I wanted to sound more...proactive I guess. That and to use a good paradigm.

Party on,
Joe.

So... thought I would point out to you that Scars & Stripes was on July 8th, not July 7th as the histories currently state.

Nothing, it's just that Wight already apologized so I thought he wouldn't really respond with anything. So I figured I'd go with you who would question it. Now that you've acknowledged me my ego has boosted a little especially given my title loss and mistake. So yeah, that's all.
Party on,
Joe.

I read the ME a while ago, just never got around to commenting on it. I wish I had though, because it was great. Probably the best Swytch has been written since coming back. I liked Kennedy helping put Swytch out after the table spot, but more so because she was using the straitjacket to put him out.

Anyways, glad Swytch won, but also sad Ghost lost. Then again, she did have the belt forever, so she can go piss off. ^^

The Trial By Wire was a great read. I really thought Lesbiana had the match in the bag when she was climbing, before going down to check on Jaime. The twist that followed was really good too. It really added something to Jaime/Lesbiana that should make it interesting to see what follows in the wake of it too. Happy with the outcome for this one too, but I'm sure that doesn't surprise anyone.

One thing that comes to mind when thinking about the Cage Match, is "Violent." Despite how heated things were between the two, it actually came out more violent than I would've expected. Never pictured a barbed wire 2x4 in the match! Kennedy's presence was... interesting to say the least. I think I was on the edge of my seat for this match more than I was for even Grant's match on the November 9th, 2008 edition of FIW ReVolt. Every pinfall had my heart racing, especially those with Grant's shoulders to the mat. I'm glad Grant came out victorious for this match though, even if it meant Lits had to lose. Bottom line, she wrote yet another amazing match.

Not much else on my mind regarding the rest of the event. Wasn't much to the first couple matches given their shortiness and all. Congrats to the new Tag Champions. Hopefully your reign is a short one. :P

The Main Event could've really gone either way. Wiggs & Mo are two amazing RPers so you know you're in for a good match when those two are paired off. Congrats to Mo for Swytch's win. Ghost had a heck of a reign with the title however, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the silver back on Ghost in the future.

Silver back and Ghost in the same sentence? Does that mean she's and ape?

Anyways, no surprise in losing to Joe. Desmond is on his way up the NGIW championship ladder, and a loss in a gimmick match to a "lesser" contender would have sucked some of the wind from his sails, so I'm cool with the decision. I read spots here and there from the bigger matches and enjoyed what was written. It's cool to see Graver working with/amongst Hide too. I'm curious to see how those two interact now that they're forced together by silver. Speaking of which, I would have liked to have seen Lesbiana pick up the Flycore championship. Nothing against Jaime, I just would have liked a new champ. Anyways, good show all in all, and I'm looking forward to loosening some of Chesters teeth and mybe earning some shine... or not. Depends if Lita wants to kill me RP wise or not.

She has that power...
