For the record, Swytch is fine.

I decided to go with the old style short results with the matches since... well, I don't have a lot of energy to be all creative about them. I found out Friday night that my grandfather is living on borrowed time and while I'm certainly not a weepy wreck it's hit me kind of sideways in terms of initiative.

Good stuff from all roleplayers this week. It was hard to select winners, but in the end I went with my gut. If you don't like it... well, fuck you, I guess. I literally just offered everyone the chance to run the show and only a few people bit.

Speaking of, Lita has decided to take over for the time being. I would ask that you give her more respect during her run than you do me, which mostly means no leg-humping, Drake.

Thots?

You ask alot sir, you ask alot.

Sorry about your fam, that always sucks.

As for the show, it was short and sweet. However I won and Thomas glared at Carson which was fairly neato all around. *Thumbs up*

Looks like we're going with a Vice event on February 10th. Card will be up momentarily as it's already been put together. If anyone has anything specific they want to discuss with me (storyline plans, ideas, character removal, can/can't be booked, etc. hit me up in a PM and I'll get back to you ASAP). I'll be getting with the only person who I've been informed has something I need to discuss with them. If you don't hear from me, I know nothing of yours plans/character stuff.

Nice show all around. Not sure if I'll be doing the extended results or these kind of shorties. I'll have to see how easy the extended results are to do. Glad to see Grant and Jaime as tag contenders again. Their last reign was uneventful and short, hopefully they can dethrone the champions and get a better reign this time around.

Loved the HooLu stuff. They're such an adorable couple and tag team. Looking forward to see where Wight and I can take that storyline.

The Swytch stuff seems like a nice start to the angle. Hopefully that can go somewhere fun.

Also, I'm looking for anyone willing to weigh in on their thoughts on the matches. Result-wise, that is. Some stuff is storyline-driven and should be pretty obvious to spot. The rest though, I would be curious to hear what the members have to say about who deserves the wins the most. As for matches involving my characters, I think I'm gonna bug Dai to decide those for me, if he's willing. I think he's one of the fairest and impartial people on this board that isn't afraid to tell someone if they deserved to lose a match when they really did.

I'm actually pretty happy with the way Black turned out. No surprise that Finn picked up the win in the six man tag. He's a character on the rise to say the very least. I'm just happy to have given three of NGIW's brightest RPers a run for their money single handedly! Plus, losing the contenders billot isn't at all heart breaking. Naturally, Reno has an ace up his sleeve!

I guess my only misgivings with the results concern the Ladies From Hell ultimately being on the losing end, which begs the question, where do they go from here? They're a tag team with zero credability as a tag team which means RPing against established tag teams is going to be trying... especially when all they need do is point out that the LFH lose more than they win. To be honest, I'm hard pressed to think of a single tag team victory! Unless you count bottling Finn at the Halloween party as a win... no? Then they're screwed!

It's things like that that make me wish we had twice the roster and maybe two shows. I've said it before, I'll say it again; somebody's got to lose. And we have a talent pool that is all around the same level. I would say that with a few minor exceptions anyone in this fed can beat anyone else on any given night. That makes booking hard, especially when you've got to factor in egos (not an insult, merely properly using the word "ego") that can get bruised rather easily.

So don't take it to heart, Adam. Your tag-team seems no less in the eyes of the management and since that's who books and judges the matches, ultimately those are the most important eyes.

I have a request, by the way. These booking points that were awarded to everyone. Is it possible that could be extended into the next PPV cycle, as opposed to this one? There is this upcoming Vice, one more Black and then the PPV before Wight takes back over. I would feel more comfortable with Wight granting the booking point requests than myself. Is that something we could do?

An extension would be awesome! I still have two points to cash in myself, but I want to do it in a way that makes sense as opposed to requesting a random match.

EDIT: Also, I wish there was an [/inflection] button, because it would appear that people are hearing a tone that was unintended. I'm not disappointed in the slightest that my team lost at Black. As a matter of fact, I believe I said that I was happy with the results and that I was furthermore thrilled to have held my own on my own against three fantastic RPers! Perhaps using a word like misgiving implied the wrong context. I guess I was feeling a lot like Rocky in his first movie. All I wanted to do was go the distance in a three on one situation and maybe prove to myself and other people that I have the ability to hang with the "big boys". Maybe my ego is getting the better of me, but I feel like I've done just that.

I should have said challenge where I used misgiving because that seems to fit my attitude better. I could spout a rant, but this isn't the forum for it and people may assume I'm pointing fingers. So before I'm accused of flame baiting, I'll cut myself off and simply state that my attitude was not well represented by my initial feedback. I'm happy and I have a head full of ideas based on the results. Sorry for any confusion, Wight.

Once upon a time... Minister Wighty launched an initiative to have people resubmit character bios in accordance to the new bio format. A deadline was established for sake of timeliness, and the incentive to meet that deadline was a mystery gift! Yay! As it turns out, that mystery gift was one booking point per submitted bio. That booking point granted the handler an opportunity to book a match of their choosing for the corrseponding booking point character. In other words, I have a booking point each for Reno and Bloodbath because I submitted their bios before the deadline! So now, I can book a match of my choosing for both Reno and Bloodbath before the next pay-per-view cycle.

The End.

Victory!! :D

Glad to see Finn and the Rices pick up the win. Everything was fine as far as the show goes, Wight, so no worries. Sounds like things have been crazy for you anyway. As well I think Lita will do great running the place in your absence.

I figured Swytch would lose, but whatever, not bothered by that. The aftermath was interesting. Wasn't sure when that was going to happen.

Disappointed Grim lost. That bothered me more than Swytch losing. Then of course I see why he lost and that makes sense. Oh well. The match was ok. I didn't remember much of it now since it was a while ago that I read it, except that one string where Grim was hitting Roxie with things and the part at the counter where he smashed her face against it. Though Goobers or Raisinets wouldn't be his choice. Those are gross.
