Ugh. I need to get those creative juices back for Hellraise... I think I feel 'em coming back in. I hope I do anyhow...

Thanks to everyone who DID manage to RP. I went ahead and posted the vote because I tracked down Juggalethal and got his response and he and the Boy shared a vote, so majority won. *shrugs* Hope 'Mo doesn't mind too much.

Abel was heard to have had several assault charges pressed against him and is currently under indefinite suspension from NGIW. Fans are nonetheless anxious to see NGIW's answer to New Jack make his return someday.

We've got a good card for Hellraise. Here's hoping I don't personally fuck it up.

Thots?

Good show. Thanks for posting the post-match Bloodbath shananagains. No surprise that team Fosteletholes won. Honestly, I had only intended to post once and let my team carry me on their backs! No, that's a lie. I had hoped to post at least once more but life got in the way. Good reads from a lot of folks this week. Shame to see Cousin Abel sitting on the shelf. Good week though!

Suppose I could say good show, I mean for what's there I guess.

I'm gonna do this again, because it's oh so fun, glavin. I enjoyed RPing Roxie and letting out yet another fact, I guess, about her. Funny one too, I think, her being homophobic to gay men and all. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed the beach ball bounced off Lita's face. But that's just disappointment like going "Oh, Simpsons' is a repeat this week." So no trouble there. But speaking about Roxie, is her current match like a series of ladder matches one after another? Like in order to win does she keep having to climb up the ladder to beat her opponent before another comes out? I hope that makes sense, because I'm the one asking for it.

Evil Girls is under new direction, I'm not changing anything, just primarily stepping away from actual historical moments with Kagero's past so everything is just fresh. That's it.

No names removed from Crackerjill's list this week but I'll try and see if I can't increase the possibility of a few of them in the days/weeks to come.

Party on,
Joe.

*grumbles because his graphics appear to be down*

I forgt to add in a few details into the Roxie/Lucas match as well, now that I think about it. Namely Roxie getting a glittery dildo thrown at her like a grenade. So... we'll just say that happened.

The ladder match is a single ladder match that leads to a big button on a pole not unlike an upside-down version of the ones seen in Ninja Warrior. For every opponent, Roxie must start in the ring, the ladder must start collapsed and on the mat or the ground outside, and she may not act until her opponent is in the ring. Every match she has to climb the ladder and hit the button to disqualify that oppoennent. Otherwise, yeah, it's just a series of matches.

Happy to see Dante and Mr. Rogers get the win. It would have been a tough choice, but I think you picked right, Wight, going with Hype. Not surprised that Julien lost. Would have loved to respond to Dai's RP, but I killed myself waiting until the last minute. Dai's RP was great, I thought, and well deserving of the win.

Worried that Mecha-peacocks with lasers for eyes were going to attack if you did respond?

^_^

I do like writing Sakura/Kanae. Kinda daft and stealing shit from various TV shows, animated and otherwise; but basically good. Hopefully she's endearingly silly instead of annoyingly silly.

As for the PPV, hide refereeing the ME? Hmm. Have to get something up for that, need to make sure I can still do him. And what's this mystery stip on the Tag Title match?

I'd like to amend my previous thoughts on the mecha-peacock mascots. Instead Sakura and Kanae should ride in on them for their tag matches. I guess those would be more Chocobos though, if they were that big.

I must point out the new background looks really nice. A lot less busy than the other one.

Seeing as Nightmare brought it up in here, the background is indeed nice. However, it looks like it's much bigger than it needs to be. I'm guessing you made it so wide so that it may repeat as you scroll down, without having it repeat on the right side of the screen for those with larger resolutions. However, you could reduce the images size by almost 300kb (it's about 340kb, whereas my testing cropped image was only about 52kb) by cropping it just to the two rows of images and adding "background-repeat: repeat-y;" to your CSS for the Body tag. That would allow it to repeat as you scroll down without repeating on the right (and the "background-color:" rule looks to match that of the images background, thus it would fill out the rest of the page much like the current image does).

Not an overly big deal, since the image gets cached and unless you clear your cache it shouldn't be downloaded again... just... offering up some information on the subject? *Shrugs*

Once again not a fan of the background, but for technical reasons this time. To me it's just distracting as it draws too much attention to the left side. I was happy, technically sounding, with it the way it was. But it's just me, I suppose.
Party on,
Joe.

I'd rather have that than have the background look different ways on different resolution screens. It looked perfect on my laptop, for example, but on this comp it cut half the people off.

Unless someone has the code handy for multiple background skins, this is how it shall stay.

Also, if I feel like fuddling with the CSS I'll be sure to check that out, thanks Kain.

As I've just found out (as this is from a board years and years and years ago), ourworld no longer exists or something so you'd have to find another CSS upload page.

Party on,
Joe.

As I've just found out (as this is from a board years and years and years ago), ourworld no longer exists or something so you'd have to find another CSS upload page.

In theory (at least), if the only change to be made would be a small one (such as merely changing the background), then you wouldn't need to link to an external CSS file, and instead rather write the CSS directly.

However, with the forum having a set width (the center part here), you really don't need multiple backgrounds to "frame" it. Just make the background image with with the relevent space in the middle to frame it, then set the background images to be centered. Have the edges elegantly blend to a solid color and match that color with the CSS, so the background doesn't look 'clipped' for larger screens.

Then, the only time it would really look different for someone is if their screen resolution is so small, there isn't room to display the board as well as the background. In which case, they would only see the background, which is how it works now anyway.

PS -- I think Wight should hire me as NGIW's official HTML/CSS/Skin consultant. :P
