I feel the need to mention that Lucas' dream match is against Dante. It'll suck if he goes before that ever happens but I can't actually fathom a realistic scenario for that to happen other than to be a one-off random booking. |

I didn't know where to put this so I figured this was as good of a place as any. When I went to bed last night only my RP was up. I come on today to find 19 RPs by my count including all but one of my opponents. It would appear this place is quite active with some very stiff competition. |

*shrugs* It's what you get for going to sleep. You may not know this, but Wight and Lita are actually reverse vampires who killed their kin in order to be able to stay up all night as well. Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

First, I don't want to challenge Wight's views here. As I said, I hate reality TV myself. Hell I didn't even watch Tough Enough when I was watching wrestling religiously. I even found the idea of the Raw Diva Search to be funny, but annoying. But I figured I would put my own retort to this, possibly explaining, I don't know. Again, I'm not arguing or anything, just...doing something, I'll figure out what as I'm going along. Would people disagree that everything that gets onto the RP board is not filmed? I mean aside from those that are like "It's not filmed...but it's still here.". Yeah, you know who you are and I know you're reading this and I laugh because I'm still going at you for this. lol. Anyway, I'm going to assume that everyone agrees that everything on the RP board is otherwise filmed. Now me personally, I hate acknowledging the cameras being there. If it can be helped, I never mention them. They're there, I just don't like saying "the camera turns to the side" or whatever. Don't know why. That's my main reason for the concept of having a "reality series". Because then I don't have to mention cameras. You just assume there's lots of them there. Now, I can also understand people finding it stupid because it's apparently "reality television" and therefore it's reality. I don't think you're complaining because it's depicted as reality...just the fact that it's reality TV. Alright, I'm getting off track. The fact that it's reality TV gives it the fact that it's "real", as much as e-fedding can be real. To find that stupid would mean that everyone aside from the Bad/Evil/Good Girls is scripted. Horus and Lucas may be gay, but they're together because that's what it says in the script. Spade isn't really a knife wielding maniac who probably looks forward to Thanksgiving because it gives him a carve something, he just acts that way because it's in the script. hide isn't actually cool, he just is because it's scripted. Do you understand where I'm coming from here? If you're saying that what you're characters do, how they act, it's 100% them. No script, no writers, they're the real article...then what really separates someone like Dante Coles from Miko? Aside from the fact that he could kick her ass into next Sunday, meet her there, and just leave her because she's still busted and bleeding. I'm not saying "stop", just putting my own spin on it. If it helps, don't think about Yakuhara, Taylor, or Sloan as a director...think about them as a pervert, a manager, and...something. I don't know on the last one yet That's just my own personal explanation, you're probably confused, smiled when you saw a character you liked mentioned, and now you have a chance to go about your merry way. Thank you. Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

I'm not sure how you could've missed that but I was using it as an example of how people who RP against certain characters just say the same thing over and over, even if they're not true. Chester doesn't think he's a monster; he sympathises with his own plights. He thinks he's one of the good guys. Giggles and Spade don't try to scare people. They just are what they are and people find that intimidating. People typically react to this by claiming their efforts won't intimidate them. Typically the louder they claim this, the more intimidated they actually are. I actually like the idea behind it being a reality TV show within a TV show. I'm just not super-fond of the content.
I agree entirely. Ofdensen is sneaky. This is only gonna get worse when we move to Nevada and he has Big Brother-style cameras installed... EVERYWHERE.
Most of my characters are exactly what they say on the tin. Boy's as well. To date only very few of my characters are acting or playing a part. Scott Kaiser (A LOT), Graver (currently, as Tie[R]), and some of Bill Kuriyama's side-gimmicks were a work. Everything else is real. So Horus and Lucas ARE actually together. Spade DOES believe he's a space alien and is a sado-masochist. Giggles DID actually ("allegedly") kill a bunch of people and manage to avoid being convicted. |

Well Graver is supposedly possessed by Scott's mask Splatterhouse style apparently, so figure that one out. Mine are that way as well for the most part. Except for Nightmare. Again, he is a lot like Batman. When the cameras are off he is a regular 40 year old guy. But in character he uses the darkness, he uses the scary images and landscapes to instill fear. He uses everything AROUND him to appear like a frightening being that is not altogether human. Because heels are a cowardly, superstitious lot (hur hur hur), then it works. But Priest really is a Catholic pastor in contrast. |

Oh man, I'm sorry I opened the floodgates on this. But I agree on the content, Evil Girls certainly haven't been living up to their name. Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

This is a FUN topic! Go Joe! Jaime Lee: She's not that unpredictably psychotic where she bounces from bubbly to blood-thirsty in the blink of an eye. That's not to say she isn't bubbly (or that she can't be blood-thirsty *shifty eyes*), but she is not as over the top as she is portrayed in her RPs. She also isn't as ditsy. However, she began playing Grant's girlfriend the moment they started dating off-screen and now they're married with a child on the way. Kennedy: Not a bitch. Though, I'm sure her time in wrestling has jaded her a bit. Still, she isn't as bitchy. She also isn't having any relationship problems with Swytch. She is in fact married to the man behind the face paint. Siryn: Pretty similar. Probably nicer than she was portrayed in NGIW, but she never really even inched towards heel from what I can remember. She did date Dante both on-screen and off-screen and they are now married with two children. Chester Wynn: He's a tricky little rabbit. The man behind the mask has a full story behind him and there's a lot of similarities between him and Chester. Chester is crazy on-screen, not off-screen. Both are in love with Jaime Lee, but only Chester to the point of fury and insanity. He also doesn't wear a mask off-screen. Lucas Torres: As Wight said, he and Horus are actually gay and together. He probably really is a weenie, though. I see him as being overly accommodating to even person strangers. He's a nice kid, so to speak. Rangers of the Sword: They haven't been around long enough for me to know anything about them behind the scenes. They could be fighting space aliens on Nickelodeon for all I know. *shifty eyes* |

Fuuuuuuuuuuck. I was bitching, people. Bitching! Whatever happened to "Shut up, Joe. You're an idiot. Just go back and play your boring ass characters". *sniff* I miss those days. But Dai...he's [i[always[/i] drunk and violent enough to say what's what. Though you notice how Wight cut out before bringing up hide only being cool because it was only as though it were scripted? Very interesting. But you know what? To contradict myself, because that's what I do...what you see is what you get with my characters. So much easier to write that way because 'm not arguing with my characters going "Oh...they're fucking voices in your head, Miko! There's no such thing as ghosts!" I suddenly feel so dirty. Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

Apologies for barging in and posting in this thread that hasn't been posted in for a fair few days now but I thought it the most appropriate topic to say: Thank you for the Instant Icon award. I thanked Wight on MSN and he duefully informed me that the awards were voted on by the community so thank you to all who voted for Abel. |
