This beast
So I finally finished the finale. Took every break of the night I had and a few hours after I got home but it's done. Now I'm wondering what people thought. Anyone actually manage to conquer the beast? Did any of the balls I threw curve or just fly right overhead and allow you to walk to first? And the entire season, if you have thoughts on it. I'd like to hear. Um, hearing (or reading) helps. Otherwise I just continue on my normal route and people end up losing track, I suppose. So c'mon. What was good? What was bad? What should and shouldn't be used in the next season? Clearly I've got time to set everything up.

Spoiler:
Is anyone sad Miko's gone?
Spoiler end.

Party on,
Joe.

I think there was a lot to absorb this season. Too many new people, really... not that I had a lot of old favorites that I felt should be brought back or anything, you pretty much covered who I liked with Betsy and Miko was much more tolerable this time around, but there were just SO MANY new additions that it was hard to keep track off.

I don't really understand what was going on with Gabriel. I'm not sure I want to know. Sara also seemed a bit... uh... I dunno, she took what felt like an unexpected twist there at the end. Maybe I missed something. Hibiki mostly seemed like a non-entity, maybe that's 'cuz I didn't book her a lot but it seemed like there was just more going on with Spice/Lilith and Miko.

I hate Spice as a person, but if she's supposed to be hated then she's doing her job as a character better than most heels. I assume she's going nowhere what with her being so intrinsic to Roxie's story. I was excited to see Sara stick around, but now I'm not so sure. The rest of them I could really take or leave. Betsy I'm obviously a long-time fan of but it doesn't feel like much was done with her through this iteration.

I suppose so long as Taylor sticks about I'm fine.

Spice is indeed meant to be hated. She's like the Hans Gruber of Evil Girls. She's a talker who we never really see in action because she has her "hired" thugs and intellect. I think I like her most because she's so well hated and just having her talk, or flaunt Lilith around only just perpetuates that hatred. The way I look at Spice, and the way I'm trying to build her, is she's the bad guy who needs to be toppled but it's never going to take just one success. Not that I'm saying someone needs to take up that challenge.

I didn't get to use a lot of the other members this season, which kinda sucks. And unfortunately there were indeed a lot of them. Didn't really explain Gabriel much, though nothing aside of her dealings with Spice needed much saying. Sara is just a straight forward, obviously egotistical woman with a strange addiction to caffeine. Miko's gone, presumed dead. She was supposed to be Spice's "sword" in her personal conquest of the group. I liked Hibiki's absence and the fact that Ofdensen was the only one who was willing to do something about it. Betsy, with her plan now out in the open, I would like to think has become somewhat of a questionable figure. Yeah she's cool, dark, and has a southern accent but on the other hand her plan involves killing one of the girls or maybe more.

And in the middle of it all is Taylor, who's just happy so long as he comes to work in the morning to a building that isn't destroyed from the inside. I can see him closing his eyes too afraid to open the door because of what may have happened over night.

Anyway, because I've actually spent time thinking this far ahead, I'll let out a few spoilers. 'cause I'm bored and this is like an Evil Girls topic.
-By the end of the season someone's plan will be realized
-Sara's excuse for her addiction will come to light (finally, sheesh. Was going to do this first season)
-Depending on an outside persons attitude in the next few months there might be a new permanent cast member to the group.
-Taylor will finally kiss a girl, and it won't be Roxie! No, that's too boring.

Obviously everything else will be determined by the journey. Matches, what all others say during the weeks building to shows, everything causes a shift in storylines. So honestly, other than those things, I don't know what'll be happening.

Sorry I got a little carried away there, hopefully it doesn't dampen the moods for those interested in replying. Or just viewing the finale. C'mon! Evil stuff happens! Don't get caught saying something that can get shot out of the sky with like "Betsy, you're only here for violence." Or "Hibiki thinks she can just train with Miko?"

But again, if anyone ever wants to be made up to date so they don't have to go on reading through a multitude of posts, I'm always willing to send some info.

Party on,
Joe.
