Lots of tough matches to judge this week, but thanks for all the promos and all the help. Lita, Dai, Adam, Joe, Mjolnir, Craig, and Mr. Lurky all really helped round out the show this week. A few points I'd like to make. 1. I feel Nightmare legitimately won the Finn/Markon match, but I sorta had this run-in planned since before I booked it. Wouldn't mind this leading to a feud, but if you'd rather not that's kosher, too. 2. Priest vs. Roxie could've gone either way but after all the tumult Roxie's been through lately I thought she would suffer more for a loss than Priest would since him taking it so genially puts over his character. 3. Bloodbath vs. Swytch I could've flipped a bloody coin on. I went with Swytch in the end both to give the Flycore back some of the legitimacy it lost during the Kim Coulter storyline and due to other backstage, behind-the-scenes storyline stuff that I think was favored better with a Swytch victory. 4. I passed Giggles/hide off to Lita, who wisely chose the less-talented RPer to contest for her title at Strife in Stygia. EDIT: 5. The "eye" Giggles bit was one of hide's tattoos. Not his actual eye. That's that. Card will be up sometime tomorrow to give everyone a chance to read the show and send me their matches. Please don't forget to do those things, because the card will look awful sad and lonely if only my characters and their opponents are booked. Remember that Chester is more or less out on injury due to his dislocated hip. Thots? |

I hate deciding matches. I hate it with a passion. I ended up choosing Giggles because it seemed that Dai was more into Kanae this week than hide in the same way that Wight seemed more into Giggles than Markon. That's not to say that I didn't like hide's stuff, because I always love hide. The decision wasn't an easy one by any means. Did I mention that I hate deciding matches? Especially when two people I really like are involved. The main-event was a really good read, though. I had to ask Wight if hide's tattoos tasted like hide suggested. Wight answered in a way that had me second-guessing hide's sex appeal. The introduction of Blade Runners is an exciting one as I always thought those characters were capable of so much more than they ever got to do. Liking this apparent alliance with Markon too. It's fitting. I always love when Tom submits promos that have Joe matching his ring attire with Kim. It's freakin' adorable. A little surprised that Joe and Kim won the match, honestly. I really loved everything that I read involving Stanton this week, but Dai really put some great effort into Sakura this week. The thread with Claire was fun to read. Loved the Kursur promo. It's so cool how he's become a quasi-hero trying to hunt down Brendon's assailant. Is Kursur... Batman? I came up with the idea like yesterday to have Lucas no-show the match due to storyline purposes going on with him and Zero. Can't wait to see where things go from here between them. I'm super excited about this storyline. Brian Mauler needs to go away. Yes, I think the character is interesting and Adam RPs him excellently, but leave Joe Stanton alone. Lol. I definitely agree with Wight about this match being able to go either way. Adam has been awesome with Bloodbath. I had so much fun doing the Bloodbath/Kim storyline. I just love how there's this weird sexual tension between two characters that are least likely to have it with one another. It's so much fun. That promo that was linked to was hilarious! I just love that person's sense of humor. |

Apparently he's a member of the Foot Clan. As for the Brian Mauler run in, I wasn't aware that was happening. Was a bit odd to find out by reading about it as I thought stuff like that has to be okayed first but eh, no biggie. Just a bit disappointed the idea I had in my head didn't get to happen. Anywho liked the match, thought it was overall a good read. I wasn't sure who was going to win, honestly. I thought Joe & Kim might've gotten it but after Dai's efforts on Monday I wasn't sure. I even thought about putting something else up though there was only like two hours left till deadline and I didn't want to bomb. :P The Lucas no show interested me though I got the feeling something migh happen after the joint RP Lita & Wighty had. Curious to see where this goes from here. Maybe a second Zero Rush that looks bigger and uses all of Lucas' moves? Lol. Sucks that both of Will's characters bit it, I thought both matches were really close. Though congrats to Wighty and Jo, both put in a heck of an effort. I was disappointed for the better part of the RP'ing cycle when it came to the main, to be honest. I really like Giggles and hide, and I guess I expected this huge epic war over something so big. Then Monday happened and my wish came true, lol. We even got a Chester sighting which is always a pleasure. I was impressed by both and ready to see either take it, so good job to Wighty. |

Glad you echo my sentiments, Wight, since I feel like I legitimately won Finn/Markon too. :P But, I HAVE been struggling for reintroductory feuds since Finn and Owen lost the belts and this could lead to a pretty interesting feud especially considering Owen is back now that the DLI is over. I'll be PMing you about where I would like to see this go next if that's OK? And yeah, Priest falling to Roxie doesn't really hurt him much and it definitely gets Roxie over which is what I'd like to see. Priest is one of those interesting characters that it's easy to get other people over against him whether he wins or not. |

We tend to trust Wight and his creative direction. Admittedly though, the run-in was my idea. I didn't spell it out in so many words, but I had asked Wight to include Mauler in the frakus if possible. Means to an end. Stay tuned. I knew Bloodbath wasn't going to come out over Swytch. It doesn't make sense to paint a guy with monster shades and then have the weakest link in the lovers quarrel come out on top. Still, it's not the winning. It's the quality RP work that it seemed to draw from everyone tied into the story. There was some slight confusion regarding Bloodbath's reservations/aggression toward Joe Stanton. Mjölnir included some narration about attacking Bloodbath and taking his place in the match. I ran with it as if Beans had forewarned Bloodbath (when I guess he went to see Bloodbath... ???) but maybe it confused some folks. There's the explanation. Kim coming to see Bloodbath honestly surprised me. Wasn't expecting it. Had lots of fun with it though. Hope to see this carry on. The mystery segment was rad. I too am a fan of the authors work and expect nothing but liquid awesome to seep from the pores of every RP from here onward. You have been warned. EDIT: I'd be a jerk if I didn't publicly say that working with Dai again was sweet. From the looks of things, and I'll concede the point... he carried us through. The Claire RP's were weak sauce. I honestly didn't know what to do. It doesn't help when things with Bloodbath were going so well. Sort of distracting. Sorry Dai. |

Usually if it doesn't interfere with what the other person had planned I go with all ideas I'm given. I feel it feels more dynamic if not everyone knows EXACTLY what's going to happen in any given match. For example, I'm sure Joe came out there intending to just stand and survey the match with Bloodbath, but Mauler was specifically instructed to be waiting for him IF Joe arrived. If it upsets you I can try to avoid it as it regards your matches in the future. |

His other option was to get eaten, fucked, and killed by Swytch, as stated in my RP. Personally I'd go with option A. Bruises heal, death not so much. |

Ah, ah, ah... Swytch said if Joe got involved he'd do that, Samoan. Joe was just going to watch. :P And, like I said, it's not a huge deal. I was surprised and a little disappointed. Had I'd been alerted ahead of time, no surprise and disappointment. It's whatever, really. No need to worry, Wighty. In other words, it's all good in the hood. |

My apologies for the lack of feedback. I'm actually surprised Roxie won. I was actually spending a bit of time thinking of stuff for her to do after losing so it wouldn't have surprised me if Will had won. Can't exactly say a lot about Brie's match, since the conclusion was unfortunately foreseeable and her style fell to how I described, so instead I'll thank those that helped make her interesting to write for. And this week. Brian Mauler, her first big match, actually excited. The only qualm I do have isn't even with the show, it's that the reason for the tag match between Evil Girls and the Lucas/Zero combo never got revealed. Unless Sara managed to touch upon it inside one of her ramblings. I'll leave off with yet another Joe's Useless Facts Facts...facts... This is mainly in response to something that has started as a joke (I believe) that is turning into widespread belief. Absolutely 100% of the Evil Girls are not gay. None of them are lesbians and I actually pride myself on that. Neither is Brie, mainly because as she said she has a boyfriend back in college. Roxie, Catherine, and Honey (From Good Girls) are the only lesbians I have playing in the ring right now. Blink's bi...I think. She's over accommodating so that would make sense. Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |
