Minimal controversy this week, I think. Main event was pretty even. I decided to err on the side of Bloodbath because... well, booking reasons mostly. The loss wouldn't hurt Sara's character at all and Adam's been doing really well with the RCR. Not that Joe hasn't with the Flycore, but as Sara herself said in her (rather enjoyable) RP, the Flycore doesn't amount to much and could really use a bigger return.

The other potential controversy was Markon and Roxie vs. Chester and Joe. I, of course, passed this off on one of my judges who had the following to say...

Quote:

"The sheer amount of Nir's roleplays makes me almost reluctant to vote against him, but in the end he has a WHOLE LOT of roleplays that I only find mediumly entertaining this week, whereas his partner and his opponents have fewer roleplays that I find way, WAY more entertaining. In the end, he had to take the loss because I had more fun reading his opponents' roleplays despite the fact they were shorter."

We decided Roxie was a better person to win because she well outdid Markon in terms of storyline and quality, and with Roxie pinning Joe it didn't wrap up ANY storylines.

So, there's that. I don't really have anything to say, so, grats to all who won, great work to those who RP'ed, hope everyone's holidays were fun, and we'll see you next week. I, of course, am here to answer any questions you may have.

EDIT: On second thought, I do have something to say; if those who haven't submitted appearances in the NGIW awards thread could give me the relevent information requested in the new NGIW wrestler app, I'd appreciate it. Entrances would also be nice. Thanks.

EDIT 2: This is the first week I've taken Billy up on one of his ideas to use a random image generator to provide "ads" for promo-less sections of the show. If you'd like to see a product your wrestler works with endorsed (or would like me to replace your existing banner with something less hideous) just let me know and I'll see what I can do to make it happen.

EDIT 3: In reference to above it seems we don't have a "tactical approach already in the bios, either. Need those, too.

Thots?

Saw the loss coming, the loss itself is whatever.

Well...this is by no means meant to be a shot at Lita but I can honestly say I'm a little annoyed that Joe ate the fall in the tag match. I get the reasoning why it was chosen to be Joe and Roxie, the whole it resolves nothing issue. It doesn't stop it from feeling screwy that after all the effort I put into the team in RPs, Joe's the one that's pinned. I honestly might even have felt more okay with this if Markon was the one that pinned Joe, least that adds something to the feud.

Instead...well, whatever I guess.

The issue here I don't think was the quantity of the RPs, but rather their content. If you can excuse the hyperbole, one can write a dozen RPs about how to properly construct a ham sandwich, but that doesn't mean they're going to win the match. These comments I will leave in the public eye so people know what issue the judge (and honestly me, had I judged the match) had with the RPs so they can adjust accordingly. I have a few more concerns I'm addressing to you in private.

On a completely unrelated note, if anyone new is hanging around the Blade Runners are my characters, I still surf around here from time to time, but I just don't really have the time to RP these days (as seen by the fact that when I was last actually booked, I accidentally no-showed, sorry for that btw), I only brought them back to hang out with Markon as when Wight pitched me the idea I thought it was gold, and to a lesser extent to hang out with Intensity, as they know eachother from wayback. Since I don't really have time to do a bunch of joint threads, but Markon needs his crew, Wight and The Boy have my official permission to use the characters as they see fit until such time passes that I can roleplay them myself again.

EDIT: Since this would probably need to be mentioned for pc reasons, they also have my official permission as a member of the Black community to use any words necessary to accurately portray the the characters

I don't believe each of the RPs I wrote were about constructing the same ham sandwich. Had they been, I could understand the issue better.

I wasn't even speaking in terms of quantity entirely of my efforts for the match.

As I said, I was being hyperbolic. You're certainly not 90's Nightmare.

I have to admit on the surprise of Roxie and Markon's victory there. Same with the Eve/Lilith win. Though I suppose it can be a little annoying RPing against them because you're just essentially arguing with Spice there. And sometimes Sara. Which brings me to the main event. Just a little upset with the loss, sucks. But whatever, it's all I'll say.

--edit--
Yay, Steele Media advertisement! Yeah, I was reloading the page checking them out. To be honest the first one that came up was the BBQ one so I was thinking "Is this a thing of Rick Nuller coming to NGIW?" Then I read this and was like "Aww...".

Party on,
Joe.

Wow, I totally forgot to RP, my bad. Christmas and working in retail are a tiring mix and Vice totally slipped my mind. Apologies.

No, you are not.

Wiggs - Apology accepted. I kind of figured you forgot or something because beating you has N-e-v-e-r been that easy. :) And I don't expect it ever will be again. :P Ah well, here's to another match.

but as Sara herself said in her (rather enjoyable) RP, the Flycore doesn't amount to much and could really use a bigger return

Sorry, figured I would address this. First off, thank you for saying that it was enjoyable. Secondly, in actuality she said that the title means everything. To her. In the RP she looks down upon everything that the title represents as well as it's history and opts not to fight for that, but instead she would fight for the sheer joy of being a champion. So in a sense, the loss did in fact hurt Sara. Again, sorry, not trying to be a Debbie-Downer here, just thought some clarification was needed. :)
Party on,
Joe.

Sara's got a full head of steam and is going nowhere but forward, whereas Bloodbath is kind of in a transitional phase and has hit rock bottom several times over the past few months. Doing it to him again while he's trying to make something of himself would basically shit on the character whereas Sara's ability to turn any loss into a victory via denial and ignorance (a tactic I loved using as Graver in FIW) only helps fuel her fire. It might be a dent in her personal record and makes her a little less credible in the eyes of some, but it does her just fine, I think, and in the end I'm the one judging the matches so it's my opinion that matters, only slightly below those of the handlers.
