Feedback on demand for most things... the only thing I think needs mentioning is the main event. I... was rooting for hide. For the storyline reason that his secret weapon was so deadly. I didn't want him to have to unleash this weapon and then lose straight, but the RPs... were sort of esoteric, and not as "on" as hide usually is, not even as "on" as hide was with Kana-chan. I was just... I dunno, a little stunned. It's certainly not to say that it wasn't good, or that it was in any way bad... just... not up to snuff. I can certainly see the DELUGE of effort behind it, and the cleverness of the angle overall, which brings me back to why I didn't have Chester win clean. It was a cool idea, and I wanted it to look effective. I hate giving negative feedback on such great effort, and Dai put forth great effort, but it just didn't spark for me. His longest RP I thought was very good and if the content in the shorter RPs had been similar I think I would still be tearing my hair out trying to figure out who to pick. So yeah. I'm hoping nobody's mad at me with that whole thing and we can move on from here... Thots? |

I love both Chester and hide but I was personally rooting for Chester. Mainly because of all of the storylines surrounding the NGIW title right now and them...kind of surrounding Chester as an actual character too. Like the Roxie issue has been made more personal by Chester's bullshit. Finn's revenge is lost somewhat if it's not an attempt against the guy that hurt his bro. And Wiggum, another potential contender, has obviously had some dealings with Chester too that go beyond "Grr, you champ, me want shiny". So it felt like shit timing for hide's shot through the fault of pretty much no one. Especially because I dug the whole secret weapon idea he had going throughout the RP cycle. Feel like the finish works and sets up hide as still a contender, having beaten the champion, and who can get another shot after MADNESS. Without really making Chester look bad either. Other than that... Shocked by the Rush/RVN match. I thought Wighty had that one won barely though Tammy did do some neat stuff too. Found the segment afterwards interesting and a little cute. Surprised by Jessica winning, guess even jobbers need to win sometimes. :P Other end of the coin, didn't see Robert losing coming, especially after Claire's focus went on Chester. But eh. The Sex and Violence segment was a thing that existed. Much like the match. Like I told Wighty, surprised by the turnout by S&V this week. Also unsure how I feel about the new tag team, having never seen them before. They're okay from the one RP. Lol. More mysterious gas man, and this time he's creeping on Fin. Speaking of Finn, congrats to Will, saw it coming but it was well earned. The series is getting tied up pretty quickly. Wiggum better be careful or McConnaigh might pull a comeback story on him. :P Thought what happened with the Midway might. Shame but I get why it happened. Onwards and upwards, I guess. |

I don't know what to say. Would I have been crushed if Chester had lost? Yes, I would have been. Though, not because of who he would've lost to. I absolutely love being NGIW Champion and I hope that's conveyed by Chester's twisted sense of pride he gets from being NGIW Champion. I know his time is coming to an end because nobody can be champion forever and Chester's doing his damnedest to prove that wrong, but every time he's confronted by somebody that he and I perceive as a legit threat, he just starts kicking and screaming like a 4-year-old who doesn't want to leave Toys R Us without that Batman figure. However, Dai is one of my favorite people. I constantly ask Wight how we've gone so long without Dai being our friend and so beating him is always twofold. On the one hand, you're thrilled because you've managed to survive against the best. On the other hand, I know I've deprived him of something he wanted really badly, so that sucks. So, yeah. That's a mixed bag of feedback, isn't it? In the end, I'm ecstatic to have won, but depressed at the cost of it. On the topic of HOW Chester kept his belt... it's unclear to me how I feel about that. Wight's feedback suggests that I got lucky by catching Dai on an off-week. That is not to imply that I did anything great myself. Not looking for praise here, just wondering what (else) needs to be changed and what I need to stick with. I already know one thing about my stuff this week that needs to be changed, but other than that I'm just left curious. I'm not upset with how Chester managed to hang onto his belt and I even told Wight that against someone like hide, he would go desperate if he had to (and I figured he'd need to). It was one of those things were I saw the result that hide had won and I went "Awwww..." then saw that it was by DQ and went "...whaaa?" So it wasn't a yay moment and it wasn't a disappointing moment. I feel it did what these types of defenses are meant to do in pro wrestling. Left me feeling like I got ripped off and I mean that as a fan, not as Chester's handler. I feel like I paid for a ticket and Chester ripped me off. I now hate him a little bit. Haha. Onto other things... I was disappointed by Zero's loss. Nothing against RVN, but I just love Zero Rush. He's so fun to me. He's like a dick that... isn't a dick. It's really hard to put into words what kind of character Zero is, but I do know that he's one I love. So I don't like to see him lose. I do like seeing him do cute things with Lucas like in that post-match segment that took place. It was so nice to see. Someone asked my why Jessica Knight isn't a champion. I kind of wonder the same thing, but I know the answer. She's pretty entertaining. Would love to see Jessica Knight vs. La Lesbiana Fantastica. Is Black & White around the corner? If Wiggum doesn't get his ass in gear, he might incur the wrath of Kim Coulter. It's almost like he saw she and Joe mend their fences and it took some wind out of his sails. Maybe Kim needs to dump Joe to get her an NGIW Champion? Stay tuned. Speaking of Kim's beau, I saw his win coming. Disappointed at the cost, but it happens. |
