Ghlrghrdgl... I'm gonna catch a couple more hours of sleep before the wife wakes up, I'll post the card sometime after that. Just tired of working at the moment. Even just doing the commentary took me, like, all night. Hope you all enjoyed. Thots? |

I have to admit, while I enjoyed the Midway match the ending...I don't know, seemed kind of lame. Not that I mean Tara winning, just the way it all went about. again, I don't know. Good match still. Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

Shouldn't have been any pinfall attempts in the ME, KO or submission only. I guess that wasn't totally clear in that first RP, and the card did originally read "Standard NGIW Rules." Also, a No Contest is reserved for matches which end "for reasons outside the fighters' hands," or in MMA, if one competitor is unable to continue after an unintentional illegal technique; and is recorded separately from a Draw. Basically, a Draw is a legitimate result and a No Contest isn't. These are just technical niggles, and actually the match rocked. |

The opening match was a nice, fun read. Disappointed that I didn't get to do more with Wiggs for this PPV. I really really REALLY love the Kim/Wiggum stuff and am sad now. I love Wiggum. The aftermath was nice to read after Tom had discussed it with me earlier. Would've been cool if the original idea of Wiggum grabbing Kim and carrying her to safety could've been used, but... sad face. I'm happy to see that Kotoha wasn't murdered in the Midway due to my lackluster showing. She actually came across pretty awesome looking. The only (mild) complaint I had was the Great Blazing Slice. As it says in her bio, she doesn't do it often because she's not that good at it and while it does fuck up her opponent, it also hurts her as well (due to how well she can't execute it) but it was a minor thing and I understand there isn't exactly a plethora of moves to choose from when writing these big results. Congrats to Tom on becoming Midway Champ again. Tara Fox was a fun read in the match. Apologies to everyone for not reading your stuff for the show so I can't comment on who entertained me and he who didn't, which also means I can't say if I agree with the winners (and losers) based on their showing. I just know that Tom rarely disappoints. RCR match was a cool read. I read (I think) one Club RP before everything went down and I was gone. I think that's the one where Club mentioned Chester and I told Wight that Club wins for mentioning Chester. Glad to see Wight listened to me. Haha. Honestly, I am glad that Club won and that's entirely Chester Wynn talking. I have nothing against PiG and really enjoyed him last time around (and haven't really seen his stuff this time around yet) but I am just a total Club fan. That's why Chester Wynn loves him (in ways that are not socially acceptable at times). The NGIW title match was totally awesome. I really wish I could've done something with Adam this week, especially since Kim is the one who put Bloodbath into this match and she's given him a chance to prove that he should be her number one. This was a match where I was really torn. Because how do you vote against hide Kitazawa? When the opponent is your character's client, right? I would've been disappointed with either winner, yet happy about either. That was the dilemma. Unfortunately I didn't get to read anything from these two so I couldn't even say how either man did, but the draw really makes a nice continuation for this so maybe I can catch round two in full. EDIT: New title sig. ![]()

I'm sorry for making you sad :( The Wiggum/Kim stuff was awesome, and the Wiggum/Chester stuff, so basically anything with Lita involved is awesome but we knew that. Unfortunately Wiggum is just too much effort for me right now, I never really clicked with him this time round so he's gone off to the place efed characters go when they're not being used so I can concentrate on Lesbiana. I'll still be lurking around and I may throw together an SLA character at some point, and of course I shall participate in the inevitable 'How awesome was The Avengers!?' thread when you guys finally get round to watching it over there. Hurry up dammit! It's awesome! |

Glad Lita enjoyed the tag match, seeing as she's the only one who has commented on it. :P Sad to see Wiggum go but hopefully you'll be back soon, Wiggs. I really wasn't a fan of my Midway match, if I'm being honest. Not because of the finish or any of the actual story I tried to tell in it. More because I sped typed it out on my iPad to try to get it in, which in hindsight was a bad idea. The auto-correct and the not acknowledging certain things I was typing shows, especially in one part. But least people enjoyed it, wasn't expecting Tara to win, so it was a pleasant surprise, albeit unsure where to go from here with it. RCR was nasty, in a good way, and happy to see Club retain. I like PiG, from what little I've seen, but I like Club just as much. :P Main, in my defense on the pinfalls attempts, I thought hide was going for a last man standingish match from your one RP. Then the RPs from then on and the card saying standard NGIW rules last I checked gave me the impression he was just hyping a NGIW rules match. Saying they didn't need anything else, it alone was going to be brutal. So yeah, sorry about that. Other than that it was fun to write, shame Bloodbath didn't win but at least he didn't lose either, also not too heartbroken hide kept the belt. Like both of them, so it was always going to be a match I was divided on. |

Read the majority of the show and I thought it was a solid read. Very straightforward, with a nice balance of matches and segments. I like how the matches tended to get longer and more elaborate as the card progressed, building to a natural climax. Of course, I'm lost on a lot of the history/significance of the interactions but that will come in time I'm sure. Now, how did you guys come to the decision to have the ME end in a draw? Is that a predetermined storyline finish or just done when it's too close to call on the promo's? You don't see the "draw" finish too often in fedding anymore. |

Oh, duh. For once I didn't write everything. I should probably mention that. I thought most of the matches were pretty good. The tag and the main event stood out over the Midway for a couple reasons, but the Midway was far from being bad by any stretch. I thought the ME had a lot of good spots and did a great job of selling that both characters took things to the limit. What I didin't like about the Midway was how signature-happy it was. I understand we don't have specific movelists, but each character's bio says stuff like "Brawler" or "Spot Monkey, Karate Striker" that should give you an idea where to draw from (Raven or late Stone Cold and some sort of Tajiri/Rey Maestreo hybrid, respectively.) I'm not disappointed and the match was still solid, but it was just a little... obvious. Other than that I think it flowed just fine for the odd rules and what had to be done to win the contest for the victor.
Hopefully if you've been poking around you know we only pull out fully-written matches for PPVs, usually it's just a few sentences, or a few paragraphs, tops to get the result across while selling who needs to be sold. Though I do usually try to follow that theory of escalation.
You must work in some wonderful e-feds. Last year, our PPV main events had so many shady finishes you could stay cool in the summer beneath them. I honestly hate not coming to a decisive finish on things like that, but in this case it'd been a while and I thought it was important for a couple of reasons. 1. Like you suggested, the RPs were really even. Both Bloodbath and hide had one really strong one and one average one (well, above-average, but we're talking about main-eventers so I count that as average). This was the primary factor in deciding the match, though I probably would've slid one way or another if I hadn't known that... 2. Wiggum, the other NGIW Contender, was leaving post-PPV. As you might know our roster recently shrunk three sizes like the proverbial heart of the Grinch as people have found themselves unable to continue RPing for one reason or another. This has been especially hard on booking and we've had to drop two popular titles (Tag-Team and Flycore) because of it. Wiggum was set to be hide's next challenger for the pay-per-view following this one (Salvation) due to storylines and that was going to be nice since with the exception of the previous champion (who for some reason hasn't cashed in her rematch) there's no one "over" enough to realistically vie for the belt. So instead of Adam losing and thus losing heat, or hide losing and me taking a big risk by placing a title on brand new shoulders again so soon after my last mistake of that nature, I decided they would battle to the conveniently built-in rule of a time limit and finish things next PPV. It just works better for everyone that way. |

Huh? Oh, sorry, I thought it was gonna be one of those automatic things as I've seen happen a few times in the past. Yeah, I'll totally cash in the rematch for whenever the best time is. Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

Let's pencil it in for BLACK on the 3rd of June. That lets you focus on FIW for the PPV and still gives us another show before Salvation so that in the event that you win we at least a week to build up Bloodbath v. Roxie. |
