Hrm. I was really afraid we were going to get more no-shows than that with the rate the week was going. Happy it didn't ruin too many matches. Sorry the show is kind of short. I've been busy all weekend with Hallowe'en activities and haven't even really been in the house but to hand out candy and watch a move. Well, I played some LoL last night, and I slept... but other than that. Opener could've gone either way, really. I liked the material both gave but as Nir predicted it was really just something to push storylines along and get people on the card. Will asked that due to his hectic week Clan McConnaigh be pulled from the match for the reason given in the show. I obliged. Blade Runners take the victory because... well, there are two of them and they both got RP'ed for. Two is better than one. I honestly was planning on giving the victory in the three on three match to the Task Force/Morgan because of the impressive roleplay Nir managed to eke out, but he more or less requested I not for the sake of storylines on either side. Kennedy, Prince, and PiG were certainly no slouches this week so I would agree that it was a fair choice in the end. Jay got with me about a Cillian/Markon promo around Friday and my absence basically prevented me from helping to create it before now. I'll see if we can't get a "recorded earlier" version up sometime this week, but if not I'm sure the air of mystery around it will make things interesting. The main event was tough. I really REALLY REALLY like Bloodbath's gimmick going into this fight and there was a lot of good stuff on both sides. It was a hard decision, but I think it fits into the match at Last Chance if Lucas still has the title going in. However, I didn't want Bloodbath to walk away empty-handed. He basically just got fucked over, which should give him plenty of impetus to act (and we'll see the results of that starting on the next card) and I'm also going to be putting Hank MacGuffin on the shelf for a while (if not permanently) due to Bloodbath's attack. This is not something I've been planning for a while; it is a spur-of-the-moment reward and feather in Bloodbath's cap going forward. I REALLY like the stuff that was put out this week, Adam. Please keep up the good work. I would love to make the Year of the Beard a reality. That's all I got to say. Card and Hallowe'en party thread are up! Thots? |
