Blah. The fatigue of the holiday coupled with my own personal issues didn't exactly make for a great show in the match department, or a lot of roleplays from my characters this week, but I think it's made up for by the effort put out by everyone else, and the promos I was sent. Thanks to Lita and Nir (and Jay even though I didn't end up using his idea), and thanks to everyone for their effort over the holiday. Please note that your elimination order in the battle royale means next to nothing. I wanted to give a few people some cool eliminations to help put them over, but there wasn't any heirarchy to how it happened. I just wrote until I ran out of wrestlers. Sorry if I skipped anyone over... I didn't think I did but that was a lot of material to read. Card up tomorrow. I'm coming up sort of dry, if you have any match requests/suggestions (or carry-over matches from the prior week that were supposed to happen this PAST week) PM them to me. It'll really help solidify the card for tomorrow. Thots? |

I'm upset. Never found out who Lucas thought was peachy. :P BR wasn't that bad. Was a little confuzzled with Roxie's elimination, though probably just the wording as I had thought she was just slammed down on the mat (taken down) as opposed to thrown over the top (taken out). Oh well, I looked for her through the rest and when I didn't find her I kinda figured that was it. Holiday thread was fun, even if I forgot when it was supposed to end. Candi and Mason was a bit different, for the time that was alotted there. I was hoping to use more of Eve but...meh. Her story's not affecting anyone, so I can take my time. I think the most enjoyment I got out of it, because Joe and Candi never got to where I had hoped it would, was Blink and Lucas. I like writing her here because she's basically everything NGIW isn't but can still casually stroll up to Lucas and start a conversation. Even if most of her side is just apologies. All in all, fun week. I lost, but like Eve's story, I can take my time with Roxie's goal of becoming Midcore Champion and having none other than Kimmy represent her. Of course, while we're on the fantasy train, have Jaime Lee hop into the ring and make out with Roxie hardcore porno style for a solid fifteen minutes following her title win. How's the old saying go? if you can dream it, you can achieve it? Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

I enjoyed that show. Having a shorter show was nice considering the time of year and how busy everyone seemed to be. I wish the party thread could've went a little longer and people had more time to roleplay for it. I would've liked to see what Candi had to tell Joe and I also had plans to have Siryn approach Giggles, but of course time prevented that from panning out as I knew it'd never actually get anywhere before the deadline. Too bad. I had fun with Siryn and Lucas in that thread, though, and their various interactions. It was nice to finally get Siryn and Nightmare face to face with each other again. I was thrilled to see Loon make his holiday appearance against Santa Claus and this tag match was a nice way to give Wight something new to write for Loon and Santa's life-long feud. It was fun times and I miss sporadic, silly fun like this in NGIW's shows. I really wanted to get Lucas on the show, but as I told Wight, he's not greedy enough to want to be in a match like this when he's already NGIW Champion. So I thought it'd be cool to open the show with the champ and have him join NGIW's awesome commentary team. And then I got the idea to have Siryn approach Joe and was really happy with how that promo came out with Nir. I like the uncertainty between these two particular characters at the moment. It's fun to roleplay. The battle royal was awesome and I don't feel like any of my characters were short-changed or made to look bad. I knew it would come down to Joe and Joachim. Nir and Jay put the most effort into this thing, so they deserved to be the finals. I was happy to see Joe win because I love the character but a little sad because I wanted to know who Joachim was going to give the title opportunity to. I'm a curious one. |

Seeing as I did most of the segments, or had a hand in them, I'll skip over those and address the only one I didn't help with. Like the Lucas segment, helped to keep him fresh in everybody's minds and get his face on the show, as the top champion should. Since, in the real world, a wrestling promotion likely wouldn't just leave their top champion off a show like that. Also liked how it was used to help build up the battle royale too. The tag match I loved, but also was disappointed. After Triad mentioned in the one OOC thread about Bloodbath coming down for the BR as Santa Claus, I was hoping Loon would be in the BR. So that SantaBath McClaus could continue the heated rivalry alive by dumping Loon out of the match. That said, what we got was a fun match and I liked that what is one of the funnest annual shticks in NGIW, in my opinion, lived on. The battle royale was a solid read, given the format it was done in. I will echo Jo and say a few entries & eliminations were a little hard to follow. But not to a terrible degree or anything. Also was entertained by the fact that Wighty managed to use quite a few of the ideas I pestered him about. There were a few surprises in the match too, least for me. I was a little shocked how soon Erik & Roxie were taken out, and how long Thinker & Doki & Mason lasted. Not complaining though, and it was cool to see Dixion get such a strong showing. Also... [size0]Yay. Joe wins. |

A user posted image is worth a thousand words. EDIT: I reiterate what I said above; the elimination order didn't really have anything to do with the quality of RPs. I thought Roxie and Mason both had a lot of good stuff under their belts this week. This just happened as I wrote it. As a few people already know this I figure I should alert everyone else, too. I am currently "not really feelin'" NGIW. My characters are not really in any strong storylines and I don't see many options for them on the horizon once the things they're doing are wrapped up. I have no drive to bring anyone else in and I'm having a hard time focusing on the fed because there are other things I want to be doing... or SHOULD be doing, even. I'm not thinking of leaving, even temporarily, so don't freak out. Just prepare for a month or so of bad booking and sloppy results. |
