My headache went away... so the show is up! I axed the first match since the only plans I had for it was either Lioncock or SLAughterhouse to come down and fuck up both competitors... and Jimmy didn't deserve that since he managed to put up a very earnest promo. I also went ahead and removed the Wilsons from the roster section since I can't recall the last time I heard from either of them. I don't think anyone has much room to argue with the match results. Had Roxie get the pin over Spicey not because they were the "worst" roleplays but more because they were the only other full team TO roleplay so it felt like it meant a little more in terms of a victory. I suppose she could've just as easily gone over the injured Mason Dixon (sprained fingers; he'll be out for a week for a storyline) or Rin-Rin but sometimes that feels really awkward to write into the finish of a match since I try not to spend what precious time/space I have in any given match focusing on the people who didn't RP. It's like "Roxie and Joe are fighting, but then for no reason she goes and pins Quincy Wilson 'cuz he no-showed." Thanks to Joe and Nir for the promos. Card'll be up shortly. Thots? |

I'm at work right now (yes, I'm roleplaying at work!) so I'll give proper feedback when I get home but I just wanted to say one thing. FUCK YES! NICOLETTE! Whoa. I so did not see Kennedy winning the match against Joachim. Honestly, I didn't know what the heck to have her say about Joachim. The whole match just took me by surprise, though I don't really know who I expected her to be booked against. I really liked the Joachim RP and I don't know how my Kennedy one beat that. I don't even know what to say about the whole Joe/Markon/Brendon thing. It was awesome. I love when things like that come out of nowhere and magically wrap everything up in a neat little package. It was too perfect to have Markon out himself, Brendon make his Linda McMahon-esque return and make some awesome matches that people want to see. Nice work! Um... yay Lucas won? Lol. I don't really know what to say. I'm not really sure why the Lioncock match even came about in the first place. But I am happy that Lucas won. Lol. |

For sake of a counter-point, Roxie is a singles competitor therefore a win over another singles competitor would have made more sense to me. Now the SLAughterhouse Three have to recoop from a loss that only further eats away at their credability as a solid and threatening team. I suppose that makes for more ammo for the opposition, but what does that leave me with? Edit: To be clear, I'm not complaining about the loss. Just picking your brain and airing my concerns. |

To be perfectly honest, I've been thinking of something to say but...uh, yeah, not alot to say. The handicap match's plan went differently than discussed, not by much, but still enough to catch me off guard. Not that I'm complaining. I wasn't around when Wighty's wife was active on the board, so it's nice to see her return. Not sure for how long term it is, but still cool to see another face. Only other thing I have to say is I somewhat echo what Triad said. I didn't expect the SLAughterhouse to eat the fall here. In fact, I don't think Mason, for example, would've looked bad taking the fall after sustaining an injury. Maybe Roxie or one of the SLAughterhouse is the cause, boom, a match made for Mason upon his return. Giving both parties something to do, even if only for one show, and not making anyone really lose face. |

Pretty decent set-up show. But now who controls Nicolette? Wighty? Edit: Derp. Wighty's wife. Didn't see that and I'm not in the know enough to realize his wife being on here was a thing. Well, THAT should make for an interesting promo battle. So are there other stipulations going into this that we DON'T know about? Heh heh heeeh...... Sorry about that. |

There are a lot of great points here. I was just discussing this problem with The Boy last night and I think I have a permanent solution to resolve this in the future, but it's not quite ready yet. Thing One : We must remember that for all her ridiculousness and for all the darkness it caused, Roxie WAS at one point in recent memory, NGIW Champion. Spicey McHaggis, sort of a Jimmy Hart that wrestles, cannot possibly look BAD taking a fall to a former champ unless that former champ now looks bad herself. Which, I daresay, Roxie has been looking rather GOOD lately. Thing Two : I don't want to get into details because I'm not sure if I'm allowed to disclose them, but Spicey and his friends should have ample opportunity to find revenge on Roxie. In fact, they could use a good storyline and I see no reason why this one couldn't be it. Plenty of fodder to put over SLAughterhouse Three as heels and Roxie and her entourage as faces. The presentation is really the problem here. I totally get your concerns and I'm trying to work out a better way to add this into the show. |
