Wrote most of the show, so can't say a whole lot about that. Sad to see Jones go, I liked him. Main wasn't bad, albeit I'm of two minds with it. On the one hand, I thought Lioncock was written perfectly, eerily so. As I had even considered mentioning to Dai about Lioncock drawing a C on his underwear for the match. On the other hand, Joe felt very off and it didn't strike me as Joe when I was reading him in the match. It just didn't feel like the same character to me that he's usually shown to be. Not caring for the portrayal of Joe at all was distracting while reading the match too. As I kept mentally going "Nope, not something he'd do". Onwards and upwards. |

Admittedly, I'm a little bummed that Tremendous didn't win the Midway contendership. I mean, he did win it but at the same time he didn't. Fingers crossed that he can pull it off at the PPV. He doesn't like double winners anymore than I do. Hehe. A little scared that the Pirates won Tag Contendership. I pretty much figured they were considering Wight is already one half of the tag champs and I don't remember seeing anything from THEM(!) but still, you never know what's awaiting you as evident with the Midway contendership. Heh. Anyway, scared because Sex & Violence will eat the Pirates alive. I loved the main-event! I really liked Joe in the main-event so that sucks that he felt off to Nir. Lioncock was great as ever and Lucas was written exactly the way I felt he should've been written in this. I'm really liking the rivalry between PiG and Nicolette and hopefully these two will get to settle their shit at the MADNESS. |

Well that main event sure fell apart... but in a good way. I always have enjoyed a good pre-PPV fracas! Role playing for this weeks show felt awkward though. Sometimes it's hard to tell if people really want to be engaged in a spontaneous thread or not. I could understand that people like clear cut and defined direction rather than what probably feels like idle chit chat. Do you folks prefer things to be planned out ahead of time, or is spontaneity cool? Other than that, it was fun harkening back to the good old days with Tony J Smith and Adam Wilson. Believe it or not, that stuff they said was actually true. Maybe some details were stretched or reshaped but yeah... back in the day, my CAW roster used to battle it out with Joe's CAW roster at mega shows to determine... well, nothing really. But it was good fun making cards for those shows! |

I love spontaneity but unfortunately for you this week you experienced two issues when RPing with me. 1) Captain Tremendous doesn't like anybody but his crew... and even that's questionable at times. 2) Kennedy was never going to trust a guy like Adam Wilson and he picked probably the worst timing in the world to try and engage her. Though, I'm sure he could wear her down with his tenacity. It wouldn't be the first time Adam has done so. ;) |

Thanks to Adam and Nir for joining in on the Fresh Blood thing. Was kinda hoping others would join in as well. But it was fun really working the characters, defining their personalities and what not. QUick on the feedback here since 've been sick as a dog the last few hours. Going to work should've been the last thing on my mind. But it sets me up better than the manager since he called in sick. :) Right, feedback. Kinda figured Roxie would win. My biggest clue was when I checked and found out Toast hasn't been online since the end of January. Still fun stuff for Roxie. Hopefully the views expressed during Roxie's imaginitive match were indeed their own. lol Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

From my experiences elsewhere, if a thread is meant to be open to people to respond to and allow a back & forth to go on, it'll be made clear in the RP or the thread title. So, if a thread says X & Y, it's meant only for X & Y to respond in. Similar, I was always taught it was taboo to respond directly to someone's thread with an RP rebuttal and seen as a tacky thing to do. Same with starting a thread between two characters and plopping a character into the thread without the handler's approval. You can imagine the feeling of being dropped into Oz then I had when I first came to NGIW, where much of that isn't seen as a big deal. Albeit I think that last portion is technically falling under the powerplay rule. And, one can debate interrupting a joint thread between two is seen as ruining others' fun as you could be figuratively running up & kicking the sandcastle they were trying to build. All that said, I always try to go into a thread with a clear goal in mind. Even if it's something minor like, they talk & X has some form of development from it. I'll sometimes talk to people beforehand and try to get an idea of what they're looking for out of the thread, so that it could be possibly accomplished too. As otherwise you have people most likely small talking or trash talking on repeat and it can get dull. |

just wanna say im really sorry that I didn't do much this week. Been battling a cold since about Thursday and it's been absolutely kicking my ass. I'm staying home from class today because I'm hacking up gunk and can't breathe out of my nose. |

Sure it could be construed as such if you tend to be protective of your characters. I don't care so much these days. I'm thirty years old and have bigger problems than what Handler A did with Character B. But I can respect how other people feel hence me putting out the feelers. Just like like Lita I love spontaneity... and Adam. Man that Adam! I think spontaneity's the only true edge these days. Sure, I enjoy a well written RP and I dig certain characters, but what I really like is being hit with a big surprise. I'll even settle for the little ones like a surprise thread featuring one of my characters. First, because I like the attention. But second (and most importantly) because it sets up a real conversation. I'm not following a script. I'm providing genuine reaction to what someone else has said. It doesn't get any more real than actual confrontation and anxiety! I'm not saying do away with scripted threads, before anyone assumes as much. Like unscripted threads, they have a time and a place and a purpose. I don't think that every character needs to be that character who always knows what to say and stays cool under pressure. There are enough tough guy characters. I want my wrestlers to be people too. |

Apologies to Adam for making Brian Mauler look a little bit of a chump. I think he was the only one who didn't really get a cool moment in the Main Event. Also, I guess to Mjolnir for not getting Joe Stanton quite right. I tried to get it all to make sense: not wanting to give the shades to someone who was clearly trying to wind him up, smacking hide on the apron in an attempt to goad him into a fight, and then going toe-to-toe with the NGIW Champion. Shame to hear about Havok. He was entertaining. |
