LOTS of tough decisions on this show. But I stand by them. I don't think anybody did poorly for this event, so before anyone asks me what they did wrong; don't. The difference was in milimeters. Thanks to Nir for the show, thanks to me for the edits and a promo or two, thanks to Adam and Lita for their promos stolen from this past week, and thanks to Boy for his input on the match decisions. Big show, but a great show. I'm actually pretty pleased with everything that went down. Thots? EDIT: Card is delayed due to... reasons. Will update when I have more to say. |

Yep. Figured that was going to happen. The writing was really good and all my characters did the things that I would've had them do so that was really cool. None of the outcomes of the matches really surprised me, though, so I don't really know what to say about that. It's cool that Tremendous won the belt but I think it'd mean more if it didn't feel like he was getting it by default over someone who was leaving and someone who no-showed... and then won the NGIW title. So, yeah. Still a great show and I can tell a lot of effort was put into it. Honestly, the two matches that I wanted to go a certain way didn't so I'm bummed about that, obviously. |

It sucks that you feel that way, Lita. I'm sorry that circumstances didn't allow for me to RP Zer01 in time. For what it's worth, that was pretty much how I won the NGIW championship my one and only time. The reigning champ was leaving and I won via default. It's a sucky feeling. And since I wasn't able to win it again I often wondered if I really earned it in the first place. Maybe I just got lucky being in the right place at the right time. Who knows? But please, don't spoil this for me now. Winning this fictitious title is oddly a big deal for me. It's like Wight is saying, Good job. You've earned this. And that means a lot to me. You have won so many championships with so many characters that not all of your wins are going to happen the way you want them to. It's not surprising that your characters are so highly decorated because you are, without a doubt, one of the most talented e-fed writers ever. And that has earned you a tonne of respect. Your opinion is highly regarded. Your talent is always admired. And you're a driving force within this community. I wish I had that. I wish people respected me like they do you. I'm trying to earn it, but I always seem to piss someone off and it sends me back to square one! It's been a hard go for me in NGIW. I can't quite find my niche, and maybe it's because I was never meant to be a writer. Put a rifle in my hands and stick me in a war and I'll fuck shit up. Give me some weak-ass scrawny kid and I'll whip him into a strong and confident soldier. Hand me a set of bagpipes and I'll entertain like a pro! But ask me to consistently write quality role plays? Not going to happen. I've made peace with that. It's why I don't get my hopes up when I'm up against incredible writers like you. I have as much fun as I can and I try to take something from the experience. I never actually thought I would win the NGIW title so this is a pretty big deal. Finally, I wrote something good enough! Please, be happy for me. |

It doesn't have anything to do with not being happy for you, Adam. I am happy that you finally won the NGIW title. My last two runs with that belt as Chester and Lucas were two of my favorite times ever in NGIW. They're even better than the times I spent here prior with Siryn. Unfortunately, both of those reigns ended with circumstances that just really soured them for me. I like Jo and I don't want to go into too many details about it because it's water over the bridge at this point, but the whole Chester and Roxie thing left an incredibly bitter taste in my mouth for various reasons and thinking about it still annoys me to this day but I deal with it because, like I said, it's water over the bridge. At the end of the day, Chester had an incredible run as champion, he beat some great people that could've beaten him with the right timing and then at the end of the day to have something like that end the way it did and turn into what it did just does its best to ruin such a great memory I have. It's kind of similar to Lucas right now. I never thought I'd see him as champion but it happened and I had so much fun building him up to and then having him finally get the strap. I know you're feeling similar right now and I am happy for you. I've never had any problems with you that we didn't resolve quickly. My only complaint here is that had I known I could've completely ignored my other matches to focus on this and win, I probably would have done that. I already knew that Zombie Black was leaving and that we were going to be facing off for both the Midway and NGIW titles. I thought that was cool that it worked out that way. But nothing for Zer01 ever materialized and I knew that Zombie Black wasn't winning the match no matter what Wight put up. So I'm sure anyone can see that I basically was handed a title that nobody else wanted while sacrificing time I could've been spending on the belt I really had to work for... like you did. Let me reiterate, I am happy for Adam. I thought Lucas and Adam had great stuff with each other leading up to the match. Nobody got malicious but got their points across on why they needed this win so badly. I would not have a single problem with how things went if it weren't for the fact that it essentially feels like I lost because instead of rating one title/match higher than another, I put in the effort for everyone booked. And yet, I still have no feedback from anyone on the board regarding any of my characters. Maybe that would've been helpful and maybe it wouldn't have, but it's whatever. Though, I would very much like SOMETHING on Lucas from ANYONE at this point. Especially any advice on what the hell I should do with him right now that doesn't involve "He could always win the belt back" because clearly that is not the case given storylines already set up. |

What storylines? There's really nothing that exists between Joe Stanton and Adam Wilson beyond Adam being the champ, Joe being the number one contender, and some petty heat. It's not enough to sell a title match. Lucas could easily make that title match a three way dance by submitting the fact that he was robbed. And given that Adam feels shitty about his tainted win, I'm certain he'd both validate Lucas' claim and lobby for a rematch. Mostly because Adam feels like he still has something to prove. He can win the NGIW title on his own. I think a match like that would actually be really awesome. An angry and motivated former champion, a hungry number one contender, and a tainted champion with something to prove. That's a huge match! |

I would not be opposed to that because I like working with you and I like Nir but it was already stated that Joe Stanton's earned contendership is next regardless of what happened at MADNESS. I really don't want to make you feel bad for your win. I am happy for you and glad to see the Hype character finally make it. It's just hard not to be frustrated right now. |

Since this is out in the open now, I thought I'd add... Joe's contendership is an open one, meaning it can be cashed in at any time. Any and all mentions of a specific date have been Joe when he's addressed Lucas through promo. Nothing official has been made about when or where his title shot is taking place. Wighty and I had a brief discussion last night after the results were given to me, and I offered & still think it best that Joe's shot is held off on. Allowing Lucas to get a proper rematch, at the next PPV, and potentially win back the title he lost here. As I feel, at least, with two people like Triad and Lita, and with two characters like Hype and Lucas, it's just as likely as Wilson validating his title win I.C. at the PPV. |

He's still going to get his shot. Just not in a one on one match like he would prefer. This adds dimension to the match because Joe could feel screwed by Horus and Adam having changed his title opportunity into a triple threat match. A great way to extend the Joe Stanton march for morality into Requiem and climax Nir's hard work with the long awaited title match. A Joe Stanton vs Adam Wilson match doesn't have enough heat. I'm sure we could get loud and malicious but it would simply seem like two boys who don't get along. An immediate Lucas vs Adam rematch working towards Torres vs Stanton feels like a correction and kind of a jab at the Wilson character. He was never really meant to be the champ, so why did he win in the first place? Not very credible for NGIW from a fans perspective. We have something special going on because there's nothing artificial or superficial about Adam's, Lucas', or Joe's stories. Each man has a legitimate reason to be in this match. This is match of the year material because it's got such a big fight atmosphere to it! It doesn't even need a stipulation. A simple triple threat, because the three men combined gives the match enough intensity. I dare anyone to listen to this song and imagine a PPV promo for this triple threat match and then tell me that they're not hyped for it! |

It's less a jab at the Hype character and more allowing the story obviously continued here to have potentially a conclusion at the next PPV. As I'm not positive now when I'll have Joe cash in his shot. But it allows ether Hype to validate himself truly this time or Lucas reclaiming what's been stolen from him. Besides, I've already made other plans going into the next PPV now. |

Excuse me, it's 5am, and while I still don't have the words for why I'm not happy, and why I haven't liked this feud; I'm going to give it a go. I don't like the Heart of NGIW name, and would appreciate it that if hide does stick around, that it is never used again. It doesn't suit hide, and in fact I find it weird that hide would get such a name. Joe Stanton has been feuding with the Heart of NGIW, but that isn't hide. hide is someone who would blow off his partner [Lucas Torres,] to prove a point [lose to the Bad Guys.] and really, what should have been a more major plot point was overshadowed by a Joe Stanton promo that makes no sense when you consider that particular match. Meh, I should have tried to get involved with it earlier, I guess. |

Well, if you're unhappy about the match or the feud, I guess that's on me. The nickname however isn't. That's on Wighty, who coined it and used it the first few times. I just carried that ball. :P And, if I wasn't tired, I'd argue the promo still fit regardless of that fact. But eh, whatever. |

Which I do believe I coined. See? It all comes full circle. Or something. Whatever. Point is Wighty and I should never try to make up nicknames for hide again. Because they're crap and the other always continues using it. |

Basically, I don't think we've been playing off each other very well this cycle. The hide who was in the ring the week after Riot Break was a hide struggling to be relevant and struggling to compete at the highest level; whereas the hide that Joe Stanton was feuding with this Heart of NGIW fellow, and whenever it came to putting this across, I was coming off second best. The promo after it makes no sense, unless Stanton is the overbearing asshole and hide is the vulnerable underdog. hide didn't need to be fighting for Stanton's open contendership, because he was already fighting for pride, but in subsequent weeks, he was back to acting the all-conquering hero on shows, despite a non finish in the four-way and an unconvincing win against Roxie, especially considering the violence he was threatening in the lead up; whereas Joe Stanton has been put across as the only person who can see that he's not all-conquering, and this has made it very difficult for me. In short, it feels like my RPs haven't matched the shows, and my matches haven't been reflected in the rest of the IC parts of the feud. PS. The Unpredictable Integer is a good one. |

That makes sense. I guess I just didn't... get what you were trying to put across? So I didn't sell for it to be pushed. I assumed if something needed to happen in the ring I'd get a PM about it, and I didn't, so it was business as usual. My sincerest apologies. |
