Startin' to get back into the swing of things. Slowly but surely.

Thanks to Nir for writing the program, and for a promo. I did the rest of the promos, with input from respective handlers in some form or another.

The only odd match this week was probably the Roxie/Spade match. I really thought both guys could've done better; Joe spent a bit too much time on Candi's storyline this week and not enough with Roxie, and Boy wasn't exactly up to snuff (for reasons that are secretly my fault). Myself and others thought that both could do better and were looking forward to seeing them progress into the tournament, so we thought we'd do this and see how it goes. Should be fun, if only for a couple weeks.

Card'll be up later tonight. I've got most of it done; the next legs of the tourney, Eve and Lilith's first match back... but I need some input from people on what else to pop in there. If you have any ideas, hit me up, especially if you can see the mockup card in the back room.

Thots?

I really liked the show. Everything was well written. I would've liked Lucas to do SOMETHING to Mauler as he really hates him (maybe even more than Hype right now) but I understand that it was probably a chaotic situation to write as is and I appreciate Lucas looking like a sick fuck in the midst of all that.

The KISUKE/Ken match was written exactly as I request so no complaints whatsoever there. The kendo stick was a brilliant choice.

Honestly, I'm kind of waiting to see Adam's reaction as I'm a little nervous about how the surprise might have went down for him. I'm not sure if anybody really expected Lucas to come back for the title, or if anybody really wanted him to.

I wrote the matches, so, uh, good job Tom on my matches. Oh, no problem, Tom.

KISUKE/Ken I enjoyed writing and figured KISUKE was winning when Lita didn't do too much for Ken this cycle. Which made me feel bad for poor Ken, he's been having some rough weeks. Though I guess it adds to his current story too, so hopefully it'll work out in the end.

Like I told Wighty, honestly with how long certain threads took to get done for a number of reasons and after his two RPs, thought Giggles was winning. So I pretty much ended the cycle with the goal in mind to at least maybe garner a DQ loss, given how Joe was going into the match. Pleasantly surprised by the end result though and liked the finish Wighty & I discussed that I feel helps both guys.

Main Event didn't have much troubles with besides the finish and what came after. As Lita made it clear to me what she wanted from very early on. Wighty told me a finish that made that somewhat difficult I confess, the chaos and security. So I ended up going with something I felt made the most sense and worked for both the orders I was given & the request from Lita. Even if Lucas didn't get to really get a shot in on his other intended target, Mauler.

Enjoyed the segments for the show, even if there wasn't anything too plot advancing besides the BSM/Joe segment.

I think it was a brilliant finish to a match that wouldn't have resolved anything. Personally, I thought the idea of Lucas jumping Adam was a great one, but I thought the story telling was a little overkill. I like to think that if I were being assaulted by a man with a cheese grater I'd fight back! The potent combination of fear and adrenaline would certainly encourage me to do more than scream, flail, and ultimately suffer.

Plus, why is Adam so protective of the NGIW championship? Sure, he wanted to win the damn thing, but I seriously doubt he'd sacrifice his body for sake of his belt. His obsession isn't the championship. His obsession is earning the championship. Until that day comes, the NGIW championship is just some tainted piece of metal fastened to a leather belt. Long story short, the belt isn't as important as the title... for future reference.
