Ka-posted. Thanks to Nir, Lita, Adam, and who-knows-who-else. Grats to the winners, sorry to the losers. Movin' on up to Requiem! Should be an event. EDIT: Before anyone asks I forgot that my wife's trip to California would EXACTLY OVERLAP this roleplay cycle. That's my bad. I'll take all blame for that. But Roxie's shot will come on the next Vice, as the main event. I just figured it'd be better if... y'know, Brandie got to roleplay for her character at all. Thots? |

The Boy's reaction on commentary to Nathaniel's win was exactly my reaction too. Lol. I enjoyed reading the Hell's Grail final. Admittedly, I haven't really been following the storylines and RP's and stuff before Nathaniel's debut in NGIW. Still, I enjoyed that match as well as the tag team contender match before it. I've got some (hopefully) good ideas in mind for RP's for the Nathaniel/Valiente match for Requiem. Hopefully they actually turn out the way I plan. Overall Vice was a good show. |

The show was good. I feel bad that I don't have a lot to say about it but there was nothing wrong so there you go. Haha. I'm glad to see Nathan finally back in NGIW after so long and I really love this incarnation of the Samael character. I look forward to seeing where the character goes from here on. He seems like he could fit in well with the current crop of characters we've got here. I absolutely love Lioncock. He is definitely one of my favorite characters and this "feud" with the Blade Runners is so simple yet makes so much sense that it's just awesome. I love how easy it is to feud with Lioncock. Especially considering only one person seems to be able to stand his company. Haha. I look forward to seeing what happens in the handicap match. I'm glad Lioncock and the Blade Runners get to be on the PPV. The McConnaigh Brothers feud is pretty interesting but I can't figure out where it's going. I'm hoping we're building to Finn vs. Priest. No offense to Owen (or Priest actually) but Finn is my favorite of the entire group and I'd love to see him really shine in this angle. I think he's definitely NGIW Championship material and I hope this angle gives him that last nudge he needs to get to that level. I absolutely loved the hide/Mason RP that was posted at the end of the cycle and considering those two won I'm so glad that it was considered into the judging. It was hilarious! I don't know what NGIW would do without hide Kitazawa. Most characters get to a point where they have nothing else to do and keeping them around just damages them but hide is just so entertaining no matter what he's doing that I would hate to see him leave simply because he's already done it all. Because he can do anything! Haha. A big thanks to Adam for OKing the promo that I wrote. Per his advisement, I dirtied up Mauler's language a bit from the original promo that I wrote but I think it's better now. I'm really glad that Adam has been on board with the stuff I've been doing with Lucas since losing the title. I really like RPing this darker side to Lucas that he's never really gotten to explore for long before. I'm exciting for our match at Requiem and I can't wait to see what Adam has in store for me. Another thanks to Nir for accommodating my requests related to the match and for getting it to me so I could edit in what I needed with. I loved the subtle Joe/Lucas heat. Even if Lucas doesn't win the belt back for Lucas vs. Joe, I think that needs to happen down the line. I love that their animosity with one another is such a slow build and just a genuine dislike of one another that continues to grow every week from just a genuine dislike and really nothing more. It's awesome. I really liked the four-way tag match and I'm glad to see KAMIKAZE boys win that one as Nir has been doing great work with all those characters. Even though the Pirates lost, I'm excited because it's playing into a storyline that I've been so anxious to get started. I hope something more can be done with that this RP cycle but we'll see. There's a lot already going on. I'm kind of surprised to see Roxie win and I don't mean that negatively. Roxie is one of those rare characters that seems to have this innocence about her that always manages to "reset" her without you even realizing it's happened. She can be a heel but then you don't hate her. She can be NGIW Champion but then you're still stunned to see her win something like this. Does that sound like an insult because it's not meant at one. Roxie is just one of a kind. I am so excited for the PPV! Lucas, the Pirates, and a little something special I've been planning for a few weeks now with someone awesome that's been very encouraging about getting it together. I can't wait! |
