There you go, folks. Nir wrote all the matches and a few of the segments (Jo might've helped with one segment?). I wrote a few of the segments. Wight wrote a few of the segments. Yeah, I think that's about it. Hope everyone enjoyed it. The opening match was kind of a no brainer. I wanted Joe Stanton on the card but he had storyline stuff that he was involved in. I really liked both segments that fit around this match, though I do not like how collective the fan hate is for Joe. That's a personal opinion as I really like Joe as a character. I think there would be plenty of NGIW fans that would like him. Also, I'm not a fan of ANY character being cheered by all the fans or hated by all the fans. I don't believe NGIW should work that way. By the way, I wrote quite a bit of Horus on this show so I hope he came across OK by Wight. Sorries if he didn't. I had so much fun with both my Pirates backstage segments. I'm really starting to like these characters more and more and I'm having fun exploring the crew outside of Tremendous. Of course Nathaniel was going to beat Lioncock because that's just what happens when you wrestle Lioncock. Lol. I feel bad for Nathan that his character hasn't really had much going on. I'm hoping that starting next show he'll start getting worked into storylines. Hey, at least you're finally booked against someone that isn't a jobber character. Haha. I really like the Nathaniel character and Nathan RPs him really well. I look forward to what he's got in store for this next show. The Priest/Yoshi match was written EXACTLY the way that I wanted. Nir even got some quirks of Yoshi's without me requesting that they show up in the match so that was fun. I was really happy to see some RPs from Will this week. I know that he's been busy with various things, but I'm glad he hasn't given up on us. I especially had fun RPing WITH him this week. The Clan/Sekigun match was somewhat storyline booked, I gotta be honest with everyone. I didn't tell Nir about this until after the cycle, though, as I wanted to see how the two teams would do in this. Nir was fine with putting the Clan over because we like Will and the Clan is good. Plus it played well into everybody's individual angles so everybody is still able to get something out of it. I am absolutely loving the Pirates/Sekigun feud that Nir and I have slowly been introducing into the shows. It's one of my favorite things that I'm doing right now. The two interaction segments between them on the show was fantastic. I particularly loved Yusuke pretending to beat up Yoshi but really just pushing him out of the ring so nobody else would hurt him. That was hilarious. I was sad to book the Blade Runners against Sex & Violence because I really like the Runners and Mace did really well for the PPV and even got a half-decent RP up for this show. Unfortunately, a Sex & Violence victory was a no-brainer. Wighty particularly put in a lot of effort with Giggles this week. The RCR match was harder to judge than I would've cared for, if I'm being honest. There were truly reasons that made me want to go in both directions. Even the feedback I got from others was pretty torn with nobody really knowing how to call the match. For that reason, like in the past, I feel the championship should stay put. As important as it is for the champion to put on a great show, it's arguably more important for the challenger to out-do the champion than for the champion to out-do their challenger. I'm not surprised to see [R] return because, well, I already knew about it. It was also heavily hinted in the RPs if not out-right stated (having a hard time recalling that at the moment). I'm reserving judgment on it right now, though, until I hear the reason that they've reunited. Again, unless I'm recalling poorly and it was already stated. I had so much fun writing the closing segment to the show this week. I had been racking my brain to come up with a way to get the NGIW Champion on the show in Adam's absence. I went ahead and wrote this segment (and sent a PM to Adam about it with apologies if he has issues with it) but I want to give apologies here in public too if Adam is at all upset about me writing this. I tried my hardest to stay true to the individual characters and the storyline that was evident in the last Bad Guys RP that Adam wrote before he needed to take time off for work. |

Something of a running feedback, I guess for lack of a better word. Segments weren't anything particularly special I wrote for Joe, or the match, really. Namely there to move the storyline with Crackerjack along. I think they did their job of putting over the threat that 'Jack is after being away for so long and how much Joe's been rattled by him. Naturally, I already knew Yoshi was picked for the Priest match, but I chuckled at the Pirates segment prior to it. I feel like Lita's gotten a pretty good handle on the team, and typically her group interactions between them are humorous. Lioncock match happened how one would expect it to, though I did like putting over his storyline as well as showing Nathaniel to be a beast. Or, tried to make Nathaniel look like a beast. Not sure if anyone else particularly cares about it, but I'm enjoying Lioncock's character arc. Segment simply followed up on that. Figured it was coming but I wasn't sure how April was going to be re-introduced to NGIW as a competitor. Pretty harmless and simple segment to do so with. Sometimes a more modest approach is the best way to go, rather than the glitz and glam. Glad Lita liked the Yoshi/Priest match. I tried to play two different tones to the match, Priest's more dark & grim tone in contrast to the more light hearted & cowardly Yoshi. I was hoping neither would feel their character was slighted. And, happy to see Will & Priest pick up a victory here. Post-match stuff was what it was, made sense for the Sekigun to want revenge & Yusuke being Yusuke not doing too good of a job of it initially. Tried to throw in some little touches to it and help fuel the motivation for what was to come later. Lita spoke to me about the match after the cycle & I thought it worked best, both for the McConnaighs & for the plot development we wanted to do, if the match played out how it did. Tried to make the teams look relatively even, so it didn't come across as a fluke or the McConnaighs only winning due to a distraction. Hopefully Will enjoyed it, I enjoyed writing the aftermath & the theft and the fallout of the theft. If nothing else, I'd like to think it wasn't boring. Runners vs. Sex & Violence was what it was, essentially a slightly competitive TV match. Tried to make the Runners seem like somewhat of a threat, at least, so it didn't come across like Giggles & Spade were so out of the Runners' league. Tried to make S&V look good too, hopefully that came across. Liked the segment with the Pirates post-theft, I feel like it, more than the previous Pirates segment, sort of put over all their angles. Tremendous somewhat distancing himself from his crew, Suri & Ken's agenda, and Aimi's own little plot. And, poor Yoshi's stuck along for the ride. Since they're somewhat sandwiched between the match, I'll comment on the [R] stuff first. I'm somewhat on the fence on the [R]eunion. I preferred Giggles & Spade on their own, well, with Diamond and Heart, but on their own. I'm not a big fan of retreading things, unless it's some new twist to it, like the various Tiers idea. Because that's not really revisiting an old idea, it's reinventing it. I fully admit, the comparison to D-X didn't help win me over either, as I hated Triple H & HBK's mid-life crisis. And, I'm a fan of both men. Though I'm reserving judgment on it till I hear some more clear cut motivations for the [R]eunion from all parties & their mission statement from here on out. Also, perhaps I'm dumb but I have no idea what [R]'s new theme is. I'm not kidding either, the way it's written I felt like I should know but...yeah. I don't. The match itself, I like to think I made both competitors look good. Tried to make it somewhat violent, without breaking realism for what's a first blood match. Hopefully both parties like it. Closing show segment was pretty epic. I'll feel bad if Triad doesn't end up liking it, but I do think it does his characters and his storyline alot of good. Really puts them over as assholes, more so Mauler. And, I was happy to help in what ways I could by having Lioncock be offered up as a sacrifice. Poor, poor Lucas. |

No need to feel bad at all, I'm definitely enjoying RP'ing Nathaniel even against the jobber characters. I think I mentioned this before but I actually have more fun RP'ing him in this cocky asshole type of gimmick over the way he was portrayed before as Samael. This is a lot more fun for me. And if lifting a guy who is a few inches taller and his same body weight doesn't make him look like a beast, I dunno what could. Lol. I think he definitely came off looking like a beast which I appreciate. I'm looking forward to the match coming up for Black. In general I enjoyed every bit of the show. All the matches were really fun to read and the backstage/post-match segments were good. I liked the bit where the Red Pirates took the belts. And the First Blood match was great too. |

Man, I don't think I'm happy with NGIW anymore. "Oh it's cool. Hey! Y'know the only character you like playing?" Yeah. "Right, well, he's catastrophically depressed now." Oh... OK. Well... I'll just pull him out. No big. I'm... sure I can think of something to replace him. "No dice; that would be a dick move for a number of different in-character reasons." Oh wow, you're right. Well... I don't think roleplaying Giggles all depressed again will do me any good, especially not as far as my interest goes. Ummmm... maybe I could bring [R] back. That would cheer him up. Surround him with friends! "All you're doing is retreading old ground. [R] is dead. You should've left them in the grave. What a waste." Oh. Well. Super. I'm so psyched to roleplay now. |

Considering you sort of paraphrased me there, I can't help but feel like that's directed at me... ...Like I said, I'm on the fence about them. I merely aired my thoughts and knee jerk reaction on why I might not care for the [R]eunion. But I said I was reserving judgment till things become more clear. They literally only just showed up and Graver said, like, three sentences. I'm not going to base my entire opinion on the group, whether I love them or it's a pass, on that alone. I didn't say it was a waste. And, [R] is only as dead as you allow it to be. Would I prefer if you guys do a new twist of the group or try to reinvent it? Sure. But if you end up not doing that? It's still your characters, your group, your idea to do, regardless of how I feel about it. My opinion ultimately shouldn't hinder your enjoyment. *shrugs* In short, don't sweat it so much, I haven't even formed a definitive opinion for myself on this. |

I don't think wanting a reason for the [R]eunion is an unreasonable reaction, dude. I mean, Giggles and Spade were already together with Diamond before this. Nicolette has her connection to them from the [R] days but you flew a character back in to re-join the roster for this. A pretty big deal character from NGIW's history. If the only reasoning for it all is "because Giggles needed his friends" then well I guess Giggles is pretty super duper important to all these people. Which kind of counteracts the "nobody loves him" depression he's fallen into. In fact, it makes him look like one of the most beloved people ever in NGIW. And like I said, all but one of these people were already around him. I'm not trying to demotivate you. It is simply a curiosity to how it all will fit together. I'm not asking for you to explain that to us right now. I said I would wait to see where it goes. |

I'm interested by the return of [R]. I have no idea why they got back together or what they want, other than to show Giggles he has a family. If I know Graver he has his reasons beyond "I want Giggles to quit bitchin'." So, let's just see where this goes. |

How is that the collective reaction when so far it's been two people voicing their interest, and two people wanting to wait & see before forming an opinion, implying they want to like it? With only one of those two expressing that the idea just might not be for them but that it shouldn't matter if you have fun with it. |

Because there's nothing going on. There's no fence to sit on. Nothing to see. No secret agenda. No world takeover. It's a pointless mid life crisis. It's just as stupid a fucking angle as it sounds. It's not something I wanted to do for fun, it's something I did to keep Giggles on the fed so as not to fuck over the myriad of other characters I would've fucked over had I pulled him. A desperation move. Good to see it fucking failed already. |

Maybe not. Something could come of it. I brought the Clan in, honestly, to keep me from pulling Erik out of the fed. But now I have some angles and storylines that have spawned as a result. If there's something you wanna' do concerning [R] and one of MY guys? Hit me up. We pretty much pop off dynamite stuff every time we get together. It's chill to experiment, Wight. Takes some tinkering to figure out something you want to do. Hell, for a few years in NGIW all I did WAS tinker. |

Failed in what way? Perhaps the initial introduction failed to generate the reaction you wanted out of two of us...but that's nothing, not really. I can think off the top of my head dozens of angles that started out luke warm to me but won me over. Both in real wrestling and in e-feds. [R] hasn't said anything really as a group as of yet. There was the teasing and the set-up, and Graver's three sentences. That's it. Something as simple as a more fleshed out "We're back" style RP might win me over. There doesn't have to be anything of what you listed. It can be simple, it can be basic. I'd argue there is something to see. Because by that logic in your post, anything as soon as it starts...nothing to see. Stories typically aren't made or broken by their beginning, or even sometimes by their ending. If you have a good journey in-between, it can make up for whatever beginning or ending the story has. We haven't seen the journey yet, there's still something to see. Unless literally that was it, [R]'s just going to keep coming out together that same exact way every show, re-reveal their new music, Graver repeat the same three sentences. But I don't think that's the case. While you say it wasn't for fun, you said earlier that Giggles was the one character who you enjoyed RPing right now. If on some level you didn't want to keep RPing the character and having fun with him, I doubt you'd have done this. You wouldn't have cared to pull a desperation move to keep from harming characters and to keep Giggles from being depressed, you'd have just dropped him. |

He's the only character I had at the time that I liked playing. I was prepared to just get rid of him and drop down to Vi, but I was informed how selfish that would be of me to do and I'd rather not screw over other hard-working roleplayers with my selfishness. I appreciate the positivity. It's nice to have friends reassure you about things. That's good; that's what friends do. I'm going to stop typing now, because there's really nothing anyone can say or do to make this situation better. I thought the show was well-written. I'm glad to see Nicolette won. Interesting promos that seemed very in-character and very good. |

Gotta admit, the reaction here bummed me out for a second. Nothing major, just a bit of a let down that apparently not everyone liked [R] as much as I did the first time around. The reaction I got was a good bit more tepid than I had hoped. But thems the breaks, a part of me says that if there isn't that spark of excitement that should be inherent in the return of a major part of pretty recent NGIW history, then hopes for the gimmick to be popular are slim. Then I realized I don't actually care if anyone else likes them, I love [R]. If the rest of NGIW doesn't, that sounds like a them problem to me. Better feedback on the rest of the show once I'm not on my phone. |

Hey! That's a registered tradmark statement of mine, I'll have you know. That...got me into a lot of trouble. *cough* I like stables, I didn't mind [R] as one. I liked how the end of the e[R]a thing came about when Roxie would the title. lol So yeah, it's all good. It kinda sucks Roxie lost, but I suppose she's not that division. A curious brow raise though on Spade and Shitto as number one contenders all of a sudden. Not that I'm against the match, just...I don't know. Little side note, while writing the Roxie RP (first one) I got to thinking "Did I ever explain Leroy? Or was that just a thought of me doing it?" I know the last time I had Leroy it was all kept sorta hush-hush, I can't remember if I ever explained it or not. Not that it's a super huge, gonna reveal the biggest secret of Roxie's life kinda mystery, it's just another of those reader's discretion things I like doing. Like Candi before I enlisted her elsewhere, or what I've been referring to as the "beauty salon incident". Basically stuff like Calvin and Hobbes' "Noodle Incident". Something you hear about every now and then, but never get the details. Hopefully it's not stuff that's ruining peoples enjoyment as I don't think they're things that would really define Roxie anymore if they came to light. Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

Roxie didn't lose because she's "not that division". As the initial post in this thread clearly states, it was a collective decision and a difficult one at that. Spade and Shitto were runner-ups in a tournament to crown the Knight of Hell. As the winner, Roxie was given an opportunity to take the RCR champion on by herself and give it her best shot at wrestling the belt away. Think of this as Spade and Shitto's consolation prize, sharing a title shot that comes after the winner and is much more unpredictable. Besides, it's not like Spade and Shitto lost the tournament because they suck and got their asses beat. However, as I had this planned before I knew the [R]eunion was taking place on the previous show, as I told Wight last night if Brandie and/or Boy have a problem with [R] fighting each other then let me know ASAP and I can alter the card. |
