Incredible amounts of thanks to Dai and Lita. Could not have put together half as decent a show without them. Thanks as well to Lita, Nir, and Creep for promos. Good stuff this week! Thanks to everyone who RP'ed. Card will be up when Lita has a chance to post it. A reminder that this is the last week for submitting nominees for the NGIW Awards. Thots? |

Not really the most active week for me, I blame the fact that people have started talking to me at work again. Yeah, being seclusive during my breaks has done wonders for my writing. I could find a new break spot or tell them to leave me alone, but there's not enough places for the former and I'm too kind for my own good for the latter. Seriously surprised Terrifying picked up the win this week as I thought that one could go either way. Once again proof that if I want to stand a better chance at winning, I write what I don't like. lol As compared to the RP I had in mind some months ago, I don't know. Nothing against those who enjoyed it, really I'm glad if they're out there. His style hasn't been set or anything so maybe I'm just upset I couldn't word in some of the points I had thought up before. Oh well, price I pay for procrastination. Wanted to do some more between Terri and Roxie, but again the thing from above kinda kicked me out of my writing schedule. I'll try and get into a new one because I think that situation has places it can go. So am I upset with that loss? Not really. So people know, Vi's identity is as secret to me as it is to Eve. I'm really digging this kind of sleuthing stuff and I like to take it slow, make certain I'm looking at it from as many angles as I can. Or Eve can. Could Eve's discovery be what has Vi chased from NGIW with pitchfork and torches? Who'll be the one to make a killing selling such cliche items? Were they really setting themselves up for an Age of Apocalypse storyline? We may never know. Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

Yeah, so... I wrote all my stuff this week to help Wight out. Mostly because I knew I wanted the main-event to have something Intensity/Astro related to build to their title match and I figured that would be the last match written by Wight so was the safest option for me to write first in hopes of preventing either of us from writing the same matches. Then there were obvious storyline elements laced throughout Aimi/Yagi and Astro/April vs. BLS. Hope that Nate and Steve both like the tag match. I thought I had discussed beforehand with Nate the ideas for that, but now I'm not entirely sure. Either way, I did what I could writing on a deadline (aka last night half an hour before bed) and while trying to keep it under the length of what I wrote for the main-event. I hope Nir is OK with what was written for Aimi/Yagi. It's pretty one-sided in the favor of the Pirates but with short results it was hard to really do it any other way without taking some of the steam of the Pirates big return from last show. The post-match segment that Nir wrote was amazing! I don't even know what to do with the Pirates following that... I really had a lot of fun writing the main-event. I hope I wrote hide well enough because despite working with Dai on a lot of RPs and discussing the fed a lot with him... I still am never sure how to write hide. I tried my best to make both men look good and still make Intensity look contender great without sacrificing hide in the process. Hope that worked out. The aftermath came to me while writing and I'm so glad that Boy was OK with it. I literally had zero ideas other than that for what to do between Intensity and Astro so I'm really glad that Boy was OK with it. So, yeah. If anybody has any ideas they'd like to try and work, hit me up. After the PPV I think April Lynn is pretty much just looking for something to do. Astro's pretty tied up for a while but I'm always game for doing stuff on the side if it lines up well. Also, the Pirates. They're currently embroiled in a Sekigun feud but I'm always looking for ways to explore their individual characters some. The Seto/Suri storyline is one of my favorite things right now so I'm always game for solo character interactions if anybody is interested. |

I definitely liked that tag match. As I had mentioned in another thread, Steve and I had a really hard time finding time to RP this week for this match. We had several RP's in mind that would have advanced the storyline with Eversol/Astro and Alexander/April a bit more. As Lita said, she and I had discussed some of the ideas that happened in the match but I was still a bit worried the lack of RP's was going to negatively affect that. Luckily everything turned out great! I think the only thing that would have been different if Steve and I had gotten our planned RP's in is that Alexander and Eversol wouldn't have been so much at odds with one another in the ring. But it's no biggy, though, and the way it actually worked out is actually better cause now we can incorporate the events in that match into upcoming RP's. That bit with Nathaniel tossing a paper with his number to April was gold. Lol! The show as a whole was awesome and definitely a big thanks to everybody involved in putting it together! Awesome stuff all the way around. As I've mentioned before, I would be more than willing to throw my name into the hat for match writing but to be quite honest, I don't think I could do it as well as I would like to or as well as everyone here deserves. I haven't written matches in a while and, like Wight mentioned in another thread, I've been sort of stuck with my own writing lately as I've been trying to write books as well. I honestly feel like my attempt at match writing would be more of a burden than a blessing for everyone. BUT, if I do ever feel like my writing would be up to snuff, I'll be sure to step up. |
