Show... thanks to many... Nir, Lita, Joe, BLS, me... No shows make sad. Other stuff was fun. Feedback... "Scott/Triad's doubling up on Gus at one point left a really bad taste in my mouth." "Gus had something different to say. In every interaction they had, Gus had something new to say. And, I actually felt like his last RP was probably one of his better, dialogue wise, to be posted here." "All of ratedgdr's roleplays were much better this week, but adding more personality than the huge blocks of dialogue can help." "Scott Free's were overall more detailed RPs. More description and the like." "Bloodbath should try and focus a little more on the match." "I felt some of his best work so far happened with Shaelin this cycle too. I feel like he made a conscious effort to try to improve." "I liked both RPs, the pool RP was entertaining, whereas the Erik RP was kind of satisfying. Like, the difference between a sweet and something really filling. The junk food is good, but the food is great. Also glad to see Will back on form." Card will be up in the next 12 hours, I reckon. Maybe a little longer. It's almost finished, just need to put a bit of polish on it. Thots? |

I had a lot of fun with this show. RPs this cycle were a blast. Had lots of fun working with Adam again. The Valentine's thread with Hayden and Dai was tons of fun. I'm really liking the Holland and BANG stuff that's been happening. Both this week and last have set the stage for what could be a show stealer at the PPV. I look forward to the RPs from Will and BDC on this. I love Wisecrack. I thought he was going to be super corny, but dammit he's good. I'm super excited to be working with Adam again, even if this April and Bloodbath thing is a mini story. The other stuff he and I have going on are really exciting for me and I can't wait to get further into that. Hopefully that'll come together this coming cycle like planned. I really had fun writing the Bloodbath/April match. I hope I captured Bloodbath well. I asked Adam for notes on how to handle Bloodbath in this particular situation, so I hope I accomplished what he wanted. The Strange Bedfellow's Match was something unique and fun. I really like having Seto more involved with the Pirates and it was neat having KISUKE and Aimi on the same side of the ring for a change. I hope Hayden is cool with the entrance I did for Seto, Suri, and Aimi. It was something that popped into my head last minute so I did the Suri & Aimi segment to lead into it. The match was well written. hide is a meaniehead for punching Aimi. Oh! Hikou. I wrote the intro for the Spider Knights as well. I thought Hikou was hilarious, but I hope Dai agrees. The RCR match was another surprising twist. Wight suggested the idea to me and I was honestly floored to have any of the Pirates challenging for the RCR. Ken was the best choice (since we really need to avoid Trent vs. Aizawa) and I really loved it because of the initial meeting between him and Ken that has haunted the Blue Pirate for months now. It made for a great story and a fantastic set-up for the PPV. The Aizawa promo was aces and I can't wait for the PPV match. The main-event went about how I expected. Apologies to JoJo for not being easy to work with this cycle. I was still attempting to salvage the Astro storyline after the miscommunication screwed things up. All in all, I'm good with where it's at. I enjoyed the Astro promo that I wrote and he was written alright in the main-event. Not a lot really happened overall but I guess that's sort of the point as we're just prolonging things until the PPV. |

What's doubling up? Anyway, show was great... except the Richlen/Free finish. Honestly, I didn't like it at all. I know ratedgdr has other things he wants to do with other handlers... so why drag this thing out? Plus, I asked about clean finishes. I feel like if you put in the work for it, you've earned it. I feel like this is a situation where both handlers are being ignored. That's not to say I don't like working with ratedgdr. He's got some great ideas and he's super cooperative. Honestly, in the future I hope to collaborate with him on some projects... but right now I know we'd rather being pouring our respective efforts into other things. I'm thrilled that Lita approached me with great ideas regarding a mini program with Bloodbath and April, and even more thrilled that her ideas extend beyond it. I'm looking forward to this story! Edit: Just read the Bloodbath/April match. Perfect! Lita captured Bloodbath's feelings toward the match perfectly. A+! |

Only thing I can think of for the finish is if Richlen and Free are facing off once more at Madness. As far as me working with other handlers, well, the plans I had fell through so I'll have to wait til after the PPV to try to come up with anything else. |

Since I am in the habit of deciding shit, and then only telling either Lita or Wight over messenger, I'd just like to formally say that Hikou and hide are collectively known as the Nagoya Spider Knights, despite hide having not set foot in Japan for about five years. Enjoyed the match, dug the finish, in that it gives me an idea for an RP. Reading the show in full over the course of the evening. |

That's alright, Lita. Still need to work together again, gonna keep pushing that. :P At the very least Roxie and April would be a fun get together. I mean she at least has to earn being hated by her like the rest, right? Otherwise, sorry my productivity kinda dropped off during the last week there. Outside incidents sorta left me not really in the mood to do much writing. Better now so hopefully this incident between Terri and Vi can be exciting as well as Terrifying's match. Should be a fun one too. As for the show, what I expected from the Shealin/Terri match I got, which was nice. I kinda figured the main event would end up crazy as it did. Was kinda hoping for a repeat of Terrifying's last tag match, but that was just as good. Anyway, I'm actually a little tired of writing now (in the past couple days I've been making up for the last week) so I'm gonna have to cut my feedback short with what's said. Yeah. Heh.
Gonna take a stab at this one, but I might be wrong. I think they're referring to your double set of RPs posted within a few hours of one another the other week. Don't know why it'd be a big deal now, we've seen it happen on multiple occasions especially a few hours from deadlines. But again, just me take on the matter. Party on, Joe. ~eat snacky smores~ |

You're a monkey's butt! And yeah, that could be what doubling up means. Seems a silly thing to nail me for when a fair number of people are guilty of it as well. But okay... I'll be the example. You guys are just mad because Canada took home both gold medals for hockey! :D |

Awesome show this week as usual. I really like how the 5-man tag match with The League and the Spider Knights turned out. I was hoping to get more storyline-based RP's up but I was kind of off when it comes to coming up with good RP ideas. I personally wasn't too happy with the RP's I did write up this cycle. I can't speak for Steve but I feel I personally could have done better. I'm definitely gonna do that for the PPV, though. The segment Steve and I wrote was just a short bit to add some PPV hype and play into the storyline we have going. The match itself played well into it also. As for non-BLS/League stuff, I really enjoyed the main event triple tag match. I still gotta say I'm a big fan of Astro/Lucas and I like what Lita has been doing with the storyline with him. I also really like the story that Adam is running with Bloodbath and Claire. The Bloodbath/April Lynn match was a good one on Bullet. Overall everybody did great with RP's and the entire show was really fun to read. Good stuff, everybody! I'm looking forward to the PPV. |

I made those graphics days ago and sort of forgot about that part. Haha. I thought you meant the Spider Knights at first. Then I realized what you were talking about. Yeah, I made it but I agree. It is tremendous. Haha. |

And now.... Hayden's thots. - I really wish the H in my user name was capitalized. - Scott Free is awesome and should have won. I get the DQ, and the story works with it, but I think a victory after everything said would have given him some validity. Of course, this is dick-heel Scott Free, so even a DQ victory works. - April vs. Bloodbath really felt like a main event, and matches like these can make Bullet and SICK look more like the first part than "oh, it's just the pre-show" that seemed to be the thought a few months ago. No lie, it's actually inspired my Dream Team promos so that SICK looks good. - BLACK! - Shaelin vs. Terri seemed to be moreso about making Shaelin look like a legit contender, which Gus earned through the promos. Vi attacking to cause the DQ makes me think there should have been a match for SICK, but Dream Team got booked instead, so oh well. - Aww, Suri cares. :3 - Quick note I caught in the opening commentary for Holland vs. ULTRA: The Boy saying "I'd wager it's because of my father's deteriorated mental faculties". I thought Ken was EJC's dad. As for the match, short and to the point. Sets up Holland as a badass and ULTRA got to throw out a few of his signature moves. Shame he lost, but oh well. - POST-MATCH SHENANIGANS! BANG gets to look like a killer, and sets up the rematch at MADNESS. - There was a lot of capitalization in that last thot. - BLS are talking to someone and that has me interested. Lioncock is their manager, so who else would they be talking to? - The Pirate Girls coming out with Seto was a nice touch. Major kudos to Lita for doing that. Also, I'll cosign on Hikou being amazing during the Spider Knights entrance. - The actual match was a nice read, with the BLS working to help Hikou at certain situations and the inevitable clusterfuck at the end of the match. A bit surprised to see Seto get the victory, but definitely nice to see. - hide's mean. I kind of have a big brother mentality regarding Aimi (yes, I know it's a fictional character) in where I don't like seeing her beat up. And hide kicking her is mean. Don't make me not like you for a bit hide. - April gettin' her rematch. Aww yeah. - Ken looks strong even taking an asskicking, but damn if you don't love Aizawa for being an arrogant bastard. - THE CUBE. THIS NEEDS ITS OWN THOT. - Astro saying "who?" when asked about The Dream made me sad. Astro saying "who?" when asked about Horus made me cry a bit. - Suck it up Boy! The Dream is here every night to entertain America! - I choose to believe Intensity was jealous that he didn't have sweet dance moves like Dream and acted out in jealousy. - THAT'S WHO, ASTRO! THE DREEEEEEEAM! - I also choose to believe that Intensity was jealous of the bromance between Dream and Stanton and acted out in jealousy. - And I choose to believe Dream of Speed (patent pending) are the moral victors since authorities didn't have to deal with them at the end of the show. Level headed wrestling is best wrestling! - BONUS PPV THOT: Super surprised Seto is in The Cube as well. Not fighting it by any means, just surprised. And that's this week's thots. |

Just a quick note. I always find myself anxious to read Hayden's thoughts. It's very old-school e-fed mentality in the sense that you tend to review everything (or pretty darn close) and I think that's fantastic. In all honesty, your feedback has played a big part in keeping my interest from waning. I don't think I'd ever want to leave NGIW, but your interest in the Pirates and Astro (same with Nate's interest in the Astro storyline) always motivates me to keep going with it and come up with new ideas. With April, that credit goes to Adam at the moment. He's always so excited to do something when approached with an idea. And since Stanton is being a meanie-head to April... :p Hehe. I do miss working with Nir, though. He's too busy saving lives now. :( Yes, I frown at him saving lives because I'm selfish like that! On the subject of the Cube, I'm super excited because this feud has been going for ages and I'm happy to see that the big climax is coming. Like a final episode of a Sentai series. It's always the best! But then you realize that its coming to an end and that's not exciting. At least Dai and Hayden both get to be involved. You guys have both done tons in helping me develop the Pirates and maintain my interest level in them. They could have fallen to the wayside like the Rangers of the Sword before them, but the Pirate Bay Spider Cav is just too freakin' awesome to give up. Not to mention I've constantly tried to get characters involved with hide in the past so it's nice to finally have characters linked with him on a regular basis. Hehe. |

I kinda grew up in an e-fed where we would always review a show afterwards to help out one another and the writers. If something worked, if something didn't, it would get passed onto the writing staff. NGIW is great because the shows aren't nearly as long (and believe me, some of the matches were loooooong) and the characters help to draw me into the stories. Terri's storyline with Eve and how it draws Vi in has me curious to see what happens next. BANG vs. Holland has me wondering how violent things are going to get. The three way feud over the title has me wondering what will happen (and if it'll be Lucas instead of Astro like I find myself hoping for (bonus points if he makes up with Horus before his match because I want them to walk down the aisle together (please Lita I just want them to be happy))) because I could easily see any one of them walking out as the champion. And of course, K-Pro vs. the Pirate Bay Spider Cav drew me in from the beginning when it was Aimi and KISUKE's burgeoning romance (or at least that's where I came in). Not only that, but the characters that aren't involved in a feud can still bring you in. The Blue Labe Society's chase for the tag titles, April wanting to prove herself, Bloodbath and Claire, Terrifying not speaking but still a threat, Cody defending the Midway title... everyone's doing something, so when it comes to reviewing, I find myself interested in the story as well as the character, and that's a surefire way to draw me in. Plus, I love the Pirate Bay Spider Cav. I just wish we had seen some Yoshi during the last cycle. Him at the Valentine's Party could have been interesting. EDIT: I just saw the updated Pirate Bay Spider Cav banner in Lita's sig. I love it so much I can't put it into words. |
