Wight asked me to post the show since he won't be home for at least another hour. So I hope everything is there.

Nir wrote all but one match and a handful of segments because he is without question a god among men. There is no other explanation. Endless thanks to him for all the work that he does.

Thanks to Dai for the segments that he wrote. I wrote a couple as well as Bloodbath vs. April Round 2. I hope Adam likes the match and how I wrote Claire.

So, yeah. Thots?

It really is disappointing that this Alex Richards cat has seemingly flopped and vanished. I was hoping Gus could get a real feud going again for one of his characters. I know how hard it can be to get traction when the other party in a storyline and/or feud is just non-existent. Either way, congrats on the victory for MWC.

See what I said about Gus? Pretty much applies to Triad and the Scott Free character. Think someone like Dash and him could've been perfect rivals for each other, and a feud, even a mini one, could've benefited both. As is, Free gets the strong and clean win Triad wanted and moves on.

My fondness of Dream is no secret. I was one of the ones pushing for him to be apart of big things from fairly early on in Hayden's run here. And, while the Flycore domination might be in the past, I still hope for silver in Dream's future. Honestly, I'd be surprised if Dream wasn't near the NGIW title division by the end of the year at the latest. While I like Roxie and it was nice to see Catherine peek in, yeah, nothing stops the Dream Train.

Flycore Match I have mixed feelings about. Sad to see Pete and Vycious go when I felt the character was really starting to find it's legs in the promotion. But happy to see Gus get rewarded for his hard work and enduring some mishaps along the way. Not knocking Seto either, I think the title could've gone to either character. And, here's hoping there's a rematch between Seto/Gus in the near future.

I tried to follow Will's notes for the match. But after the no show from BDC...I struggled with the idea of making Erik BANG's bitch much in the match. Tried to have him able to save face though. Will and Erik are another two that I hope for big things in the coming year. Will's been on fire with the character, even more so than before, and it'll be a shame if 2014 doesn't have Erik see his first NGIW silver.

Feel like the Midway Match was a hard one to call. T did some good stuff with Cody, but Jo did some good stuff with Terrifying. It's the first character in a long time of Jo's that I've felt entirely interested in and curious to see where he's going. Partially because I think he doesn't feel so insular to the rest of the fed as the Spectre Girls alot of the times do. But congrats to T, he's worked hard to get this title for Cody and I'm sure he'll do some great things with it before the reign's over.

I enjoyed hide prior to the Pirates and the Knights, and the Scorpion related stuff came into his life. But I feel like, Hikou and Tremendous in particular, helped breathe new life into the character and renew it. That said, no shame in losing here in my opinion. Nate and Steve have been awesome since their return to NGIW, partially why I wanted to work with them. And, I felt it was only a matter of time before they managed to snag their due.

Then there's the two main events. It's funny, I remember when I first talked to Lita about the idea of the K-Pro Sekigun. It brought up the idea of the Pirates and bringing them to NGIW, and the two groups feuding. Some snags were hit along the way, but overall I like to think the storyline played out in a decent format. With the Cube match serving as a solid farewell to the story and climax for it.

My only real gripe is that I would've liked to have been able to elevate a new character with Aizawa's RCR reign. That was pretty much the plan as soon as Wighty and I talked about the possibility. Love hide as much as the next guy, but don't really think he needed the RCR. Especially with a tag title rematch in his back pocket.

Small potatoes.

As for the three-way...well, Wighty and I had a lengthy discussion about it prior to my writing it. We both came to the same conclusion that there really isn't a place in NGIW for Joe as a character or me as a handler anymore. So, I wrote the match as a swan song for Stanton. Trying to wrap up what loose ends he had with Intensity & Astro and trying to put them over on his way out. Think it was a decent cap off to his minor role in the story.

Welp, that's it. To anyone possibly worried, or those that are just nosy, no bad blood from any of this. Least not on my end. Like the old song goes, know when to hold em and know when to fold em.

Buh bye.

Well, his name is Mjölnir, the hammer of Thor, so it kinda stands to reason. Lol.

I agree with what Nir said about MWC and Gus as a handler. It's good to see MWC get the win in that match. Same goes for Gus Richlen vs Seto and Vycious.

The April/Bloodbath match was good stuff. I really like what Adam and Lita have been doing with the interaction between the characters and the storyline going on with Bloodbath and Claire. Those RP's have been fun to read and the match itself was as well.

Cody vs Terrifying was great as well. I meant to post in the feedback request thread that T posted, but I like what he's done with Cody ever since his debut. Awesome to see him win the Midway.

I really like the way the tag title match turned out. It was hilarious when The Boy started hating BLS in the beginning and by the time they turned on Lioncock and sided with Kim, he was ready to be their publicist. Lol. That's awesome that Steve and I got the win and the titles. I'm pretty sure I can speak for Steve in this instance when I say we're gonna make sure we get even better RP's going from here on. Thanks to Nir for what he said about Steve and I. That's greatly appreciated. I liked working with Dai for this whole storyline. His RP's with hide were always good stuff and they always gave me good ideas to respond with.

Steve and I came up with the segment that followed after talking to Lita and Nir about the whole idea of BLS turning on Lioncock. I like the way it turned out, without even saying a word, Kim made her presence known. That was good stuff.

I've said it before and I'll say it here, it's no secret that I'm a huge Astro Blue/Lucas fan. I really like the RP's Lita has been putting up for that storyline. The 3-way match was awesome. It sucks to see Nir leaving. It would have been awesome to have BLS work with Joe at some point down the line. I think we only had one time of interaction with him and that RP was fun to do.

Overall everybody did a great job with RP's. Hopefully the RP's Steve and I wrote were equally as good in everyone else's opinion. We're definitely gonna push ourselves to improve from here on out, though. Looking forward to the next card!

My thoughts on the matter.

A number of things will be occurring this week that I think will be a good thing for everyone. Cthulhu knows we could use it. I'm going to do my best to come up with something that'll allow us to have... mock full results every week. I don't know how soon I'll be able to roll it out what with work and my actual career (and relaxation. All work and no play, etc. etc.) but I'd like to see it happen sooner than later. This would also have an effect on the bios, which would allow me to transition to a less messy format for presenting characters on the forum.

Speaking of characters, by this point we've lost enough people (and our writer) so that the multiple character ban is moot. Everyone have as many characters as you can handle.

Lastly, I'm going to break tradition a bit and we're going to have a second round of inductees into the NGIW Legends. Cheif among them is going to be Morio Aizawa, both in honor of the incredible stories that helped to tell and Nir's own legacy in NGIW. The rest are simply folks that have deserved to be added for some time, but I've never really had a reason to break the NGIW Awards tradition on the subject.

Thanks to everyone who RPed.

Thanks to Nir.

EDIT: Caught up in all the Nir-worship, I'd hate for Pete to get lost. He's been an incredibly swell addition to the NGIW roster and it was really awesome of him to hold out until the PPV before departing from the company. I hope we'll see him in the future. Preferably in the form of Barry Jones. :)

I'd like to apologise to Lita and Hayden, I said I'd get an entrance for the Spider Cav done, and I didn't. My netbook's fritzed, and what I've been doing to fix it hasn't worked. [Girlfriend's mac. Bleh.]

Echoing the above: Joey Terrifying is cool. Far cooler than the Spectre/Bad Girls. BLS ain't too bad, either. Who's this Kim Coulter character though?

In case it isn't clear "Hideto Redentor" is shorthand for "hide, pulling the Christ the Redeemer pose."

Oh yeah, show rocked. Dunno what else to say.

I loved this show. That CUBE match made me actually fanboy out at a few spots (Shot Across the Bow from the Top of the Cube!!!).

I really thought the Winged Skull match was used to great effect as Joe's send off. I'm sad to see Stanton go, and I'm more sad to learn Nir is moving on for now (I will hold out hope for a return soon).

oh and

Just gonna be quick 'cause it's cold and I hate typing in the cold. Only alternative is to pay for heat. Or wait for people to move in beneath me and crack a few more holes in the floor.

Two losses? That kinda sucks. No offence to Hayden but I kinda thought I at least had the tag match.

I can accept the Midway title loss to be honest for a few reasons. Biggest one being that was like his forth or fifth match, probably third on a bigger show. Wouldn't make much sense with him being the champ there. But thanks on the feedback on the guy, now in typical Joe manner I'll find a way to screw him up.

Also should note the encounter between Terri and Vi is an unsanctioned affair. If I have the time I may write it up. May.

Party on,
Joe.

The show was fantastic all around. It was fun working with Nir with The League and now I'm also excited to see where Nathan and I can take things with Kim as well. I thought our RP's could have been better but we're definitely motivated to make what we've been doing even better.

Quick thots, to be later replaced by full thots.

I'm gonna miss Stanton and Nir as a whole. I loved Lioncock from jump, the K-Pro Sekigun was always entertaining, and Stanton had a major impact on the early stages of The Dream's career. Dream might not have risen to as much prominence as he did without Stanton's help. I'll always be grateful for that.

I'm surprised The Dream Team won, given that I thought Jo had the better RPs. Also surprised I didn't win the Flycore, as I thought I had a stronger RP. But the judges have their reasoning so I can't be too upset. Life goes on and all that.

BLS finally get the titles! I know they're dicks and all, but after months of chasing the belts it's nice to see them with the titles around their waists. Also interesting to see Kim Coulter. Wonder how that'll turn out.

THE CUBE. That was a thing of beauty.

So yeah. More thots coming soon.

I have some feedback to post from the judging team, I just need to find time to post it.

EDIT: Remember, if you feel strongly about who should or should not win a match, you can always send me your input as a judge for the whole card. It's an open offer. I want to be able to take other opinions into account.

I gotta say, I am bummed out that BDC did not show. I was really hoping the Hard Ten match would steal the show, as Lita hoped. Considering how good the Cube was, I don't think that was gonna happen, but I at least wanted to take a good crack at it. Oh wells. By the way, thanks for all the nice words. I think that I have finally, REALLY, hit my stride with Erik. I intend on competing for titles very, very soon.

Just read the Bloodbath/April match ad it was glorious! Possibly Bloodbath's best outing in recent memory, if not his entire career! I'm surprised there wasn't any mention of Ben Reno being in the front row. I would have assumed at one point she would have looked to him for support, but hey... let's not let that take away from a brilliant effort put forth by Lita. You can write my matches any day, chica!

Nir gone... that's a huge loss for NGIW. I hope the departure is only temporary, and that sooner rather than later, we'll see him back.

Congrats to all the winners and pooh on all the no-shows! Great PPV, folks!

Like everyone has said before me, I'm disappointed that Alex Richards turned out to be a flop but I'm glad that MWC was able to get a solid victory over the character to close out what never really got off the ground the way that it should have. Sticky/Ratedgdr has one of the greatest attitudes of anyone I've ever worked with in an e-fed and I'm always happy to give him his due. I've been personally working on some ideas for PredNation as a whole that I will work hard to make sure pan out.

I'm really disappointed that Doomed has seemingly vanished from us. Ryan Campbell was an interesting character and Chris Dash had so much potential to work against literally anyone (Scott Free specifically). To be brutally honest, though, I'm not the biggest fan of Scott Free. I hate to say it because I love Adam and I think he puts so much passion into his work. But just for me, personally, Scott Free always comes across as a watered-down Brian Mauler and Mauler's gimmick wasn't my favorite to begin with anyway. Still, the effort and passion behind the character is unmistakable.

I love the Dream Team. Dream is such a fun and exciting character. He's freaking hilarious. Reading his RPs always cheer me up. And Jokester just has this crazy loveability about him. Not to mention I'm clearly a fan of Hayden's work. I think he's a great writer and I'm always rooting for him. The Spectre Girls... I just don't get them. Don't get me wrong, it's obvious JoJo is dedicated and he puts love into this. There's no denying that and I absolutely respect that. The Terri storyline going on is one of more interesting angles I've seen with the Bad/Spectre/Evil Girls, and that's saying a lot since I hated the Terri character when she showed up. However, the storyline is entirely insular. Even with the addition of Vi, who is practically an NPC at this point as she is not on the roster and not connected to any other characters. Everyone has their insular moments, so I'm not saying every storyline has to involve multiple other characters. Generally speaking though, the Bad/Spectre/Evil Girls do everything within the confines of their own group and their own NPCs. That just doesn't connect with me. So, for me, the Dream Team victory here was a no-brainer.

I didn't vote for Gus Richlen. I just gotta be honest. Everything I said about Sticky/Ratedgdr in the first paragraph remains and I'm really feeling the every man's man vibe that Gus puts off. It's just simply that I preferred Seto this cycle. Admittedly I might be biased as I'm directly working with Hayden and the Seto character, but I really thought this was Seto's time. He's been on fire and I thought his work with Seto this cycle was on point. My only gripe(s) with Gus applies to MWC and Shaelin as well. There is not enough content in a single RP and I would prefer if there was more direction as opposed to all speaking parts. It's not just a visual thing as it helps to connect more with a character when you have mannerisms noted or a change in tone when they speak certain parts. I personally am willing to help you work on this if you are interested. As I said earlier, you've got a great attitude and I think you've got amazing potential.

I am so happy that Adam enjoyed the Bloodbath/April match. I am having the best time exploring this April storyline. Admittedly, it's a bit insular (which I've criticized others for) but I am trying my hardest to include other people. This Bloodbath thing cropped up out of nowhere and I jumped on the chance to make it a large piece of April's storyline. Hopefully it will continue with Cody as I've already spoken to T about getting our characters involved to further one another's angles. I think it'll work well. As for the result of this match, I was basically told that Adam beat himself. I was given positive remarks on my own work but the bottom line was that Adam did so amazingly well with Reno (one of my all-time favorite characters) and by comparison Bloodbath just didn't do as much. I tried to convey that within the match. On paper, April is no match for Bloodbath. She's pushing herself but I still don't think it makes sense for her suddenly to be at that point in a matter of weeks. So having Bloodbath essentially beat himself works fantastic for me and appropriately represents the work that was put out for this match.

So sad that BDC vanished on us. Wisecrack is a brilliant character that blends well with BANG. I really wanted a sick Holland/BANG feud. I do have a possible idea for Holland to move onto, though. I'll need to speak with the appropriate people first (Will is one of them, of course), but I think it could be really great in the way this was supposed to be.

The Midway match was a bit of a tough call. I feel like Terrifying is a really good character (I'd appreciate a Poison bio for more insight to that character, though) and everything JoJo did with him this cycle stayed in line with what I expect from the character(s). I owe apologies to T as I've recently discovered that you're a much better writer than I've been giving you credit for. I guess I just couldn't really see it before for whatever reason. I thought it was a very even contest but in the end, I didn't see enough to merit ending Cody's reign.

The Tag Team title match was always going to be bittersweet for me. I absolutely love hide Kitazawa. I think Dai is an incredible writer and above all he's got a fantastic attitude towards the game. So, I always hate when hide has to lose. However, when Nate and Steve approached me about the idea of joining BLS up with Kim Coulter, I just couldn't say no. I worked with Nate years ago and I've always enjoyed working with him. He's another with a fantastic attitude towards the game and very eager to do stuff that tell a fantastic story as opposed to just looking out for his own character. I've known Steve for about as long as I've known Nate but we didn't get to work together much. I'm eager for that to change as he and Nate are very similar in personality. So naturally I was hopeful BLS would be able to win as I think (like others have said) that it was time BLS finally get a hold of the belts. It was fun watching them grow as challengers but I'm eager to see them as champion assholes that only they can be. As far as Boy's commentary, I asked Wight and was told that The Boy supports the League despite not liking some of the members and believed that he liked BLS. In any event, I love that it came across that he jumped on board when Kim joined them. Lol.

That NGIW title match was a thing of beauty. Probably the best match Nir has written since the Intensity/Joe match at Hellraise that won Match of the Year. I think Stanton looked like a beast and despite the loss he went out looking like a superstar. I'm happy to see the Intensity remains a strong NGIW Champion. I have been RPing with Boy for a very long time now and I've always felt that he had the potential to really break out as one of the major players in NGIW. Mr. Intensity, specifically, is a character that I've always felt could be NGIW Champion and I'm thrilled that Boy brought him back with that goal in mind. It's still amazing to me to look and see that Mr. Intensity is the King of Hell and doing a hell of a job at it. Slightly disappointed that plans for Astro didn't go down as intended this show, but Wight had good reason for it slipping his mind. Despite that, Nir wrote Astro as looking like an incredible athlete and I am beyond thankful for that.

Dammit, the Cube. I don't mark for the Cube the way others that have been in this fed for ages do, but it's still flattering that Wight felt Nir and I deserved to cap this feud off in the legendary Cube. It was absolute chaos and I know that a Cube literally cannot exist any other way. It was a very satisfying end to the storied rivalry between these two teams and I am thankful for all the work that Nir put into it from the very beginning to the very end. I am happy with hide winning the Red Crown of Rage as I love the character and Dai is deserving of everything he gets. My only complaint coming out of this is that Nir (and by extension) KISUKE is gone.

On the subject of Nir, I was informed earlier yesterday that Nir had decided to step away from the fed and honestly it felt like my heart was ripped out of my chest. I have been working closely with him for so long now that I just don't know if I remember how to work without him. I'm grateful for all the stories that he and I were able to craft together, the depth he added to my characters, the affect he's had on my writing, and all the knowledge he gave me on e-fedding as a whole. He loves this stuff and it always got me excited about writing. I'm even thankful for all the arguments we got into over booking and storylines and stuff. He's very passionate about his ideas and that's something I can never hate anyone for. Aside from all of that, the work he did for NGIW as a whole is unmatched by anyone. Writing full shows is a hell of a job and I don't know what we're going to do without him. Thank you for everything that you've done for us, Nir, and I really hope and pray that we see around here again. Sincerely, Joe Stanton's #1 Fan. :)

So...they lost there because of a storyline that doesn't even involve them? Maybe it's just the way I'm looking at it but that sounds more like a punishment despite the fact that quite a few times I've opened up to do things with other people and the only ones ever to have stepped up was Wight and the Boy.

I don't know why they lost because I don't decide the matches. I'm saying I voted for the Dream Team because I don't feel as disconnected from the characters as I do with the Spectre Girls.

And to be fair, your characters are insular. Steel Media is a grand production that centers around the characters you created. It's always come across that you have plans for these characters and your stories that need to happen to achieve what you want for your characters. Asking for people that want to play a part in that is not really the same thing creating a storyline with someone else.

This is the reason that Joey Terrifying has been receiving a lot more open praise than the rest of your characters. If people are involved with him, they are working against him and Poison. If people are involved with any member of the Spectre Girls, they are pulled into the world of Steel Media that involve the whole stable package of active competitors, former cast members, production crew, etc. It's a whole world in and of itself that exist within this world. It has potential to be very intimidating to learn about, understand, and keep up with.

I particularly was not a fan of Catherine showing up for this match. I didn't think it was fair to bring in a character that Hayden had no way of knowing anything about and therefore limit what his characters could talk about since all she has is a profile from five years ago. She's not a new character, but presented as an established character that only a handful of us know about and Hayden was expected to go up against without much warning.

I am not trying to punish your characters nor am I trying to keep you from having fun. However, I will voice my opinion on the situation and I am more than happy to explain my opinion to you whenever you want. Do I know how to fix this outside of completely axing Steel Media and creating stand-alone characters? No. Do I want you to do that? Absolutely not, because I know you love your Steel Media universe. But it is my honest opinion on the situation and I apologize if it's made you feel victimized as a result.

I understand it was a little unfair to incorporate another character into the tag match, but I first asked Wight and he was okay with the idea and I even apologized to Hayden directing after posting it. Though mostly for the lateness in getting said RP up. From what I got on the reply he was okay with it because he was just going to have his characters goof off in London.

Also, and maybe it's just from my own view point, but I don't recall any storyline recently where I've pulled someone in too far with the Steele Media thing. Vi and Eve have been Vi and Eve with little hints of Roxie and only recently did Terri get involved. Spade and Lilith has been Spade and Lilith and...that was it. Roxie and anyone else has been Roxie and anyone else. So I don't. I mean aside from the fact that I've constantly opened things up for both Lilith and Eve each time stating that it's the interactions with other people that create those characters...I don't know.

I could ask more people to play, but again that could just suggest that I need people to push my own storylines. Or I could wait until someone comes to me but that would just say I'm insular because I'm forced to come up with my own stuff in the mean time. *shrugs*

Party on,
Joe.

I was going to post the feedback but those who gave judgement already pretty much left it.

Again, I stress, you are ALL allowed to give your two cents in judging matches. If you feel strongly about a result, please let me know. Your opinion will be taken into account when I make my final call. I can't guarantee it'll always sway the outcome of the match, but I CAN guarantee it WON'T if you don't tell me.
