So, it's done.

New card will be up shortly. Congrats to all the winners, condolences to the losers, and thank you to all that RPed for the final Red Zone.

The opener, it was a toughie. Everyone agreed that Triad's Bloodbath RP was good, but not quite up to his usual standard, especially with Bloodbath. On top of that, Boy put out some great RPs with Intensity for the match. Kind of a difficult spot for Triad with the mystery opponent thing though, I admit. Either way, I'm hoping to see more between these two, I think a renewal of their old feud could be just what the two need.

I like the PBSC and I like the Bisenshi Force, both tend to produce good RPs. Or, rather I should say entertaining reads. This match was no different, and so it was a bit of a tough call. In the end, I went with the Bisenshi Force. I liked the dynamic a little more between them and feel it doesn't hurt to go this route with anybody involved.

Disappointed by the turnout for the Flycore title match for most of the entries, though those that did show up showed up in a big way. I was impressed with everyone involved, including Gus, even though I know he had other things distracting him. Because of that, it sort of became a three way as to the paths we could go from here. I flat out enjoyed the Seto stuff this cycle, and on top of that I was trying to stay true to Scott Knight's RP and for other reasons didn't want to go with Aimi.

Little disappointed by the turnout for the tag titles match, but Nate already talked about that, so no need to beat a dead horse. Didn't feel like the best of the BLS we've seen and the Spectre Girls continue to be a fun read. So, this match was easy to decide. One of the easier ones actually. Though I don't think things are done between the BLS and the champs.

One of the harder ones to call. Both what T did with Cody and what Lita did with April was really good, like usual. Judging seemed a little split on the call too, so it came down to my word. While I like Cody as champion, he's been champion for a second and I felt him chasing April for the belt could be more interesting. At least till a rematch between the two. And, losing the belt after something like seven months with it wouldn't hurt Cody.

Main event, maybe the most controversial call, maybe not. I feel like some will feel that way, but maybe I'm over thinking things. I loved what Dai and Will both did for this week. Crazy hide when it hits, it really fucking hits. I like the direction hide's been going in, going further and further away from reality and becoming more...hide, for lack of a better word for it.

Similarly, I loved that Will instantly picked up on why I chose the stipulation I did for this match. But he didn't have Erik linger on it or hammer it over people's heads. This is the stuff that makes me believe this decision's been long over due for Will and Erik.

Judging was split again, even more so, with all parties seemingly feeling more passionate about this than arguably anything else. So it was my call. Again.

Not trying to take anything from Dai and hide, they're awesome, and they've been rewarded for being so. However I feel some people haven't been given those rewards, Will and Erik being one of them. He's had something like this coming to him for a while and so I said, screw it, and the RPs warrant it in my opinion. Congratulations Will, this has been well earned and I hope you're able to run with the ball.

P.S. Sorry if a little rambly and/or not making much sense, little tired.

Thoughts, people?

Wow! What a really great read! I thought all the action was really well-paced and it flowed very naturally. The main even was really incredible, especially the finish. I really have to give my kudos for your work on this event. Top notch.

I'm actually kind of excited for next week!

Kinda disappointed that I lost again, but what can you do, really. I didn't think my promo was as good as it needed to be. Next show, gonna try to change that.

That show was awesome, Not much more I can say about it. Though I did like how it was pointed out that Cody was one of the longest reigning Midway Champs (I didn't even know that...)

It was awesome to see Mr. Intensity back. I've missed him so much.

I was at a loss for the PBSC this week, to be honest. For some reason, it feels like it has been months since I've RPed them. I'm hoping that some significant developments in the Bisenshi/Pirates feud will take place to re-motivate me with them as a group. There's some stuff that's been discussed that I'm really excited about. I really hope it transpires soon. I pretty much expected the loss with them considering how disconnected I've felt with them lately. I'm sure that came across in the work.

Like Nir, I was disappointed in the turn out for the Flycore Match. I'm glad, ultimately, that Seto kept the belt. It's not secret that I am a HUGE Seto fan and hope we're going to see a lot more from him here on out. There's just a quality to Seto's work that I can't quite put into words. Hayden once referred to him as "cheesy" and that's definitely part of his charm that I really enjoy. The comment about Aimi intrigues me. I'd be interested in hearing what that means... unless of course it's what I already know.

I'm also disappointed with the tag title match, but not because Jo won. The Spectre Girls were actually pretty good this week, especially considering I'm not really a fan of Eve. Sorry, I liked Brie. Anyway! The lack of depth in the tag division has really stunted these two teams, I feel. Nate, Steve, and I planned quite a bit of cool stuff for BLS but really none of it could happen due to this issue with the tag division. I'd really like to find some new, useable ideas for the group but I've been kind of checked out on NGIW as a whole recently. I hope that's about to change.

I'm kind of surprised that April won the Midway title, to be honest. I'm flattered and happy that April was finally able to achieve a title here in NGIW, especially after all the work that has been put into this moment. I originally had another idea for how she was going to win, but Cody wasn't picking up on what she was putting down. Hehe. Anyway, sad to see Cody's run end as I've been a huge supporter of him as the Midway Champion. I hope we continue to see cool stuff from him. If the ideas T discussed with me pan out, I think it'll be pretty dang awesome.

I'm going to be one of the people Nir talked about who don't agree with the main-event's result. Normally I'd just keep it to myself, but I've known Will for a long time and know how much he likes to hear the truth (even if it's not praise). Honestly, I voted against Holland for this. I recognized how good his RP was but Will doesn't have the greatest track record lately when it comes to consistency. In fact, it was his previous match that was a no-show and resulted in a loss to hide's protege Hikou. That made it impossible for me to vote for him to carry the NGIW title at this time. While I agree that Will has put a lot of work into NGIW (hell, the e-fed circle that we've been a part of for years) I disagree that this was Holland's time. Maybe Will is about to prove me wrong and I hope he does, but as someone who has a history of running e-feds, my gut reaction was no on Holland holding the NGIW title at this time. Especially over someone who has been dependable and consistent for so long that I can't even put a time frame on him. I get that Dai has all kinds of accolades with hide but that dependability and consistency are the reason.

In closing, I'm sad because I think hide's reign as King of Hell ended far too earlier but my sincerest congratulations to Will. I hope this marks the dawning of a new era with Holland.

P.S. Ramble all you like. I prefer when a feedback thread goes up with the fed head's thoughts presented before anyone else has a chance to ask for it. It makes it easier to give feedback.

Let me preface by saying thank you to Lita, for EVERYTHING you said, not just your congratulations.

Honestly with the match with Hikou, and some previous contests, I had been dealing with some personal things that made getting into the character of Erik really difficult. I really have no excuse beyond that other than my head wasn't in NGIW Mode in that time period. Finances, health of my family, my own health, and other factors that kept me from being creative.

Then I went on a wonderful trip to Washington, connected with my family, had a grand old time, and I come home to new job opportunities and friends and a possible new relationship, then I see I've got a title shot against Dai, like old times, and everything just clicked. RPing felt easy, like it's supposed to, I didn't feel like I was struggling to put something up just so it would be there. Dai was and still is one of my all time favorite opponents or partners, besides Triad, Wight, and you, Lita, and he consistently brings out my best effort.

I am glad that you guys have faith in me, I promise I won't let you down, and I think having some time up top on Mt. Doom is going to be fun.
