Keeping this short today, some personal matters came up and that's why the show is posted when it's being posted. Which is my bad. Same reason why the results are a little bit more condensed today than they usually are.

Feedback coming later tonight.

VF card will be up in a sec.

Thoughts?

Show was pretty good. Everything pretty much happened the way I expected it to except the April/Free match. That was really interesting and I am super curious to see what Scott Free has up his sleeve.

Alrighty, RP feedback.

Bloodbath vs. Cody - Everyone seemed roughly in agreement upon this match and how it played out. Everyone feels T has improved since his start here and continues to improve, and his RPs reflect that. Yet in spite of how good Cody and him were, Triad fired off some of his top work with McGrath in response. That he not only had some points, he did so in an entertaining way. Because of this, it played out how it played out.

Personally I enjoy both characters and hope to see more out of both in the coming weeks.

Doctor vs. Roxie - There was a slight divide in opinion on this match. No could dispute the entertainment value of the Puppet Theater the Doctor put together in the RP Wighty crafted. However most saw Jo's response as a misstep, ignoring many of the more subtle things the Doctor slipped in in favor of the "Bitch" point. Personally I don't think it was a horrible move, but maybe should've been used as an element to an overall response Roxie had for him.

When it came down to it, I liked what both did, but I couldn't deny that the Doctor was more entertaining of a read. Including his retort to the "Bitch" response. I hope to see more from both, and my biggest suggestion for Jo with Roxie is to involve her more in the roster. Much like the rest of the Spectre Girls, I think she could benefit from interacting and really developing relationships with the roster.

Jun vs. Knight - This one was a little more evenly divided in the opinions on the RPs. Everyone agreed that they felt both efforts were about as good as the other, it was just a matter of who they felt edged it out. Because of this, it came down to my call. I liked what both characters had to say, and I liked that Lita used some of the match description to feed some of the material in her promo. It's partially why I put them together, in hopes it can maybe give handlers something to work with like Lita and Jo did.

However I felt the Scott Knight RP had more of a directness to it and more of a clear cut goal in mind. So I went with the big guy for the W.

The Horror Machines vs. LHT - Another match that the judges were all pretty on the same page about. Everyone did good, but Will and Boy did better with Erik and Intensity out of the two teams. Tremendous was seen as the workhorse of his team, whereas hide's "search for himself" left something to be desired for some. I find it interesting personally, though I had a hard time trying to justify a victory for the TremenBros, especially with the note I was given by Dai. Because of that, it went to the hosses.

It was good to see Intensity away from Bloodbath and interacting with others, without necessarily ignoring the issue the two had. I still am undecided how I feel about the ULTRA/Intensity friendship personally. And, I liked what Erik and Tremendous both did, and think the characters are both fun for where they're at right now. hide I'm curious where this whole thing is heading and hoping it'll lead to something new for the character, rather than back to where he was. As I feel like it would make this little journey he's been on ultimately redundant.

Harrison vs. Dream - Everyone's pretty interested in where this new side of Dream is heading, and seems to like it too. That said, while it didn't bother me, I know the big blob of yellow text was hard on some of the judges' eyes in spite of the quality of the RP. And, the mix up with it being copy and pasted in there twice didn't help the presentation factor of it. Whereas Mike just had more to his RP, more description, more dialogue, better presentation. So the judges all made the call for the W to go into the Lionheart camp, who deserved it.

I'd like to see both characters continue to progress. Dream with what looks like a downward spiral of his mental health. And, Harrison with his little by little exposure to perhaps the real jerk underneath the facade of respect and professionalism.

Lynn vs. Free - One of those cases where everyone said more or less the same thing. Lita's RP with April was the usual for Lita's RPs with April, it was really good. Similarly, Triad was hitting it out of the park this cycle with both of his characters. The general opinion boiled down to, both were good, but the Scott Free piece had more fire, more heat to it. Because of this there were a few suggestions on how to make both look good and fit their characters coming out of this match. I ended up going the DQ route because I felt it sounded the best.

So far, I've really liked April's reign as Midway Champion. She's just kind of a classic babyface, take on all comers mid-card champ. I'd like things to get perhaps a little more heated and personal for her in the future, see how the character would handle that. With Free, since Triad's renewed interest in him, I've liked where he's going and would like to see him have some success. Why I planted the seeds for Triad to make something out of and work with, if he wants, with how the match ended.

Main Event - I'm breaking this down into more focused feedback for each team...

The BLS haven't been bad, but the general opinion seems to be from the judges that they've stagnated since disbanding the League. The RPs for this match were no different, with it feeling like a major shake up is needed within the team for there to be a dynamic aspect to them again. I'm personally hoping that with a bit of time this whole "Nathaniel is the CEO" slice can be it. Because there's no reason for Nate to have trouble finding success in NGIW with the BLS.

Predator Nation wasn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination either. Most commented on how it feels like you're taking the feedback we've given you and working on it. I'd say keep up the hard work and we'll see the Pred Nation continue to advance within the NGIW world. The only thing really marked against them in this match was that Gus was uninterested in participating. But that is more of a character thing than anything, so fair enough.

The Red Pirates, they've continued to be an entertaining unit. The characters play off of one another well and manage to grow as characters without losing alot of what makes them them in the first place. However the effort for the match was a little short and simple compared to what they are usually able to be featured in. Because of this, the victory slipped from them.

The Spectre Girls are a hard egg to crack. The comments that are given to me alot of the time seem to convey that they feel the Girls are more spectators to the rest of NGIW than actually apart of it. They comment and give their opinions, but don't have much investment one way or the other about the rest of the roster. And, that occasionally Eve is rather grating. Both of these things shined through in the RPs for this match, the judges felt. Much like with Roxie, I'd suggest getting them more involved with the rest of the roster and maybe have them develop relationships with roster members.

In the end, the general opinion was that the Bisenshi Force were the strongest team in the match with their RP effort. Their interactions with the rest of the roster and budding relationships with several roster members continue to be interesting. And, not only that, but they have just the right amount of insular storylines within their ranks that their interactions between themselves are entertaining to read too. I'd like their issues within their own group and with the Pirates to continue, and maybe see the Bisenshi start to mingle with the rest of the roster too.

I've constantly offered out, but as is the case every time; no one wants to play back. So...a little diffcult for me to work on something like that.
Party on,

First off, the show was great as always. Even with the short results, the show was definitely a fun read and the matches were still really good. Everyone had a lot of awesome RP's as well. I especially liked the Scott Free and Bloodbath RP's this week as well as Lita's for April and the Pirates and T's for Cody, just to name a few that I enjoyed. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where all those stories go.

And now, secondly...

I completely agree with the judges on this one. Personally, I'd even go so far as to say BLS stagnated right from their inception. When I first started with Nathaniel in NGIW, I had a lot of fun RP'ing him and building him up into the cocky, almost stuck up business man. Along the lines of Tully Blanchard in the NWA days. Then the feud that Steve and I had was a lot of fun and I felt the payoff with BLS forming was great. But from there, it kinda lost its traction. That is until The League came along. Working with Nir was great and Steve and I both told Nir as much in our PM's to him.

When The League came around, things started off great but in my opinion they quickly fell off. After a while, there was no real storyline for The League as a collective unit so, to me (or to us when Steve was here) it was difficult to have any real interaction when everyone in the group had different agendas. We were essentially a faction by name only because no one was interacting with anybody else. That's honestly why Steve and I both felt it was time for BLS to move on their own when they did.

Enter Kim Coulter. Working with Lita to craft the storyline that we did was awesome and things were going well again only for them to fall apart all over again with the storyline against the Dream Team crashing and burning. That left Lita, Steve, and I scurrying to sort of pick up the pieces and try to formulate a new plan but nothing really came to fruition cause there aren't very many teams here and all or most of the teams were already in active storylines so interjecting BLS into any of them wouldn't have worked at all. But now that sort of left us in the lurch without any storyline. Granted, the entire time, BLS has had the "chasing the titles" storyline going internally but at the end of the day, without any build up with any one team, it sort of makes BLS out to look like the stereotypical cartoon villain "We'll get you one day soon! Buahahahaha!" Lol.

So yeah, tl;dr, I think it all boils down to the fact that BLS doesn't really have any real direction other than the title chase, which only goes so far. That's why I've been at a loss as to what to say in RP's and what to do with them. I'm hoping the "Nathaniel is the new CEO" story will be the shot of adrenaline they need but honestly I'm not too sure just yet. I guess only time will tell.

Oh my God. If they start doing that, BLS should win everything. Everything! Especially if they get those twirly mustaches. Hehe. I'm totally seeing the Vaudevillains here.

Ultra is a self-interested prick, UNLESS YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL. Right now his storyline is playing that up even more so, so it was nice to get him away from all that to be himself a bit.

Intensity, on the other hand, is just really nice and likes hanging out with shitty people. See: Spade, Bloodbath, Chester. Ultra is nice to HIM, so why wouldn't he be nice back?

That's my take on it.

To be honest, not long after I wrote the first part of that promo, one of my uncles DID, in fact, pass away from a massive heart attack. I honestly thought I wasn't going to finish that because I simply had no desire to be creative.

No, I cannot; but he's not the first NGIW wrestler to use hand-puppets to illustrate a point. Maybe I should change that manta to "Kill All The Birdmen."

Good luck with that. I'm quite honestly just winging things right now.
