Hate to do this again, but I'm keeping this brief. Sorry about the delay on feedback for the PPV, the feedback for this show and it will be up soon. I've just been a bit busier than I expected this past week or so. In fact, so busy that had I been aware I was going to be ahead of time, I probably would've opted for a longer RP cycle than a shorter one to get us set on the new schedule. In any case, card will be up in a second. Thoughts? |

Good show. All around. Really liked all the little character moments, I thought those were well-written. Also whoever wrote that Mercury/Ultra segment must sure be an attractive individual with good taste. Yup. |

Great show as usual. I enjoyed reading the Cody/Nathaniel match. The Trios Tag Match was a great read as well as the ME. When it comes to RP's I like to read other people's stuff other than Nathaniel's opponents but, admittedly, this time I wasn't able to do that. But, I'm definitely looking forward to the next show. I feel like breaking Nathaniel away from BLS was a good move because it's given me a lot of ideas to work with kind of keeping in line with the "Nathaniel is the CEO" story I had going except in this case it'll be a little different, obviously, because there is no business partnership to be CEO of anymore. Also, having seen the card for BLACK, I already have an idea for an RP for Nathaniel's match there. So, I'm definitely looking forward to this next show and all the rest afterward. |

Apologies for the wait, here's some feedback. The opening tag match was a difficult one to call. Both teams did pretty well with their RPs, all coming off of the PPV and using the fallout well in their own separate ways. Neither the Scott Knight RP or the Seto Uchiha RP were inherently bad by any stretch of the imagination. However the judges weren't entirely sold on the Seto RP, feeling mixed about his reaction to the loss of his title at Violence Fetish. Similarly, while entertaining, one judge pointed out the biggest issue with the Doctor RP, it didn't really serve to "hype" the match much. On the other hand, everyone felt that Sticky took the advice given to him and stepped up with his RP. While there was some debate over who should get the pin, in the end, I chose Gus to get the pin. Because I wanted to reward Sticky for putting the obvious effort to take what we've said to him and improve. Eve wasn't bad, as many of the judges pointed out. Yet she also felt like a bit of an afterthought in the wake of Roxie. Opposite to that, Intensity had a strong showing and because of that the result to the match was pretty clear to call. Somewhat disappointed to be honest, as I would've loved the swerve of Eve getting in and Roxie not. Could've made for some interesting character dynamics between Eve and Roxie, maybe Roxie gets a little jealous, maybe Eve gets nervous, Eve's health issues. But I'm not exactly upset over Intensity getting into the tournament. So, there's that. Unfortunate is all I can really say. Not that Roxie won, or that Roxie got into the tournament. Both of which I'm cool with, because I do enjoy the character. But it would've been nice to have it be more of a challenge, or for there to have been at least a chance Dream gets in. As is, well, it was obvious how this was going to go. Neither Lita and Dai or Wighty were arguably at their best for this match, with Wighty having to slip in a segment into the show for the Bisenshi to help make them show up. Because of that, I ended up going the way I did with the match. Similarly, I had ULTRA and hide sulk on the outside because it seemed to fit the direction both were in post-Violence Fetish. I love Lita. She's an awesome writer, one of our best, and pretty much every character of hers could easily be a champion. April's no different in my book, s'why she's the Midway Champion. S'why I threw her into this, because I could see April one day being the Queen of Hell. I feel like, somewhat like Siryn before her, Lita's taking April in a direction where she fits without necessarily fitting in at NGIW. Just by being a tough as nails girl, she survives. And, Lita's work reflected that for this match, and I liked what she did, bringing up the past between McGrath and here. However I think that skyscraper RP might be one of my favorite Bloodbath McGrath RPs Triad's ever done. The ending visual, while perhaps a touch cliche, was awesome to picture in my head. Felt like RP served to further Bloodbath's storyline, both in the grand scheme and going into the match, and so his handler & him were rewarded accordingly. T had a valiant effort, in my opinion, going into this match. I felt he stood his ground and, as Dai said in another thread, continued to be one of the few good white meat babyfaces I've seen in efeds. However I feel like Nate just had the upper hand, shedding whatever baggage his character had on it from the BLS and all that came before it. Renewed and refocused, the character felt fresh and managed to edge out Cody in the qualifying round because of it. This match was something I've found myself coming across alot in NGIW since taking over. Mike's work for Harrison was awesome. Triad's work for Free was awesome. It was a matter of trying to chip away and crunch numbers to decide which awesome was ever so slightly more awesome than the other awesome. The judges' thoughts that were given to me pretty much reflected this. With one pointing out that the cereal eating one was their favorite of the Scott Free stuff, much like myself. At the end of the day, there has to be a winner and there has to be a loser though. I can't just make every match a draw or a no contest. Be pretty boring too. While I felt both of you guys did great, I felt at the end of the day the Mike Harrison stuff inched by, lack of cereal eating notwithstanding. |

Besides, Chael Sonnen's not the guy to channel if you want to bang on about integrity. |

I thought it was tremendous how he got people riled up going into the first Anderson Silva fight, but between the fraud conviction and the drugs test... Yeah, well. |
