I am tired as fuck, but the show's up. My own feedback later. Tomorrow. I've already stayed up an hour longer than I wanted to finishing this show, so I hope you enjoy.

EDIT: PPV card is up, but I want to work Bloodbath and Roxie onto it in some way. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

This show posed a couple of problems to me in terms of judging, but nothing too critical. Most of it came in the way that people wanted Roxie/Nathaniel to play out and in the main event. I had a lot of different input from a lot of different sources giving me ideas about these things, but in the end I made the final decision, and I'm gonna own it.

Roxie's stuff wasn't bad this week. There just wasn't a lot of it. I liked where it was going but it never felt like it got there. I felt Alexander's business was more on-point, and he and Kim Coulter actually managed to piss me off in real life, until Boy reminded me that they were heels doing a heel thing. Even still, as I always said with Spice, if you manage to make your character so loathsome that it extends outside the game you've gotta be doing something right. Might not always be for the best, but it was this week. I went with Joe's suggestion of a finish and tried to factor in Bloodbath's presence as much as possible. I'd like to do some things between Bloodbath and Roxie for at least the next PPV cycle. I feel like Roxie has more than enough reason to want to clubber Bloodbath, but we need to work on the opposite of that.

Gus Richlen vs. Mike Harrison was awfully close, but I admired the amount of effort Sticky put into things a bit more. I don't know if I'd recommend always doing a video promo, but it paid off for you here. I tried to make everyone look good. Hope I pulled that off.

Two of the people in the four-way didn't RP. One of them I didn't quite understand. I'm kind of uneasy about making Tremendous the Flycore conteder as it seems a little bit below his weight class, but then I remembered how awesome Scott Knight/Lilith Lovecraft are and now I'm excited to see what goes down.

I like the depth PredNation got and want to see where things go from here with them as characters, but there just wasn't a lot of content there. Dream's storyline makes me intrigued, so I hope we actually get to see where this is going. Grats on making it in JUST under the deadline, Hayden. Keep it up. I think the Red Pirates and Hikou/Sakrua were the obvious front-runners here, but I kind of donated most of the Pirate momentum to Tremendous, so we went with Bisenshi Feather Orchestra for the victory on this one.

Scott Knight/Cody McGinnis was about as tough a judging call outside the Knight of Hell's Grail Tournament as I had to make this week. I followed a little advice that T threw my way, and did my best to sell the gimmicks of both characters since the match didn't have a clear winner.

Sadly, Will didn't have the time to RP with Holland. I certainly didn't want to undersell April, though, as I was VERY impressed with Lita's work this week, especially the first RP. Scott Free and hide Kitazawa are definitely no slouches, though, and I feel like this created enough tension and drama going into Hellraise that it helps the storylines more than it hurts them.

Finally the big match. RPs on this were pretty even, in that they both had their advantages and drawbacks. Bloodbath's stuff was well-written, but a little underwhelming and focused more heavily on the tournament at large than their match together. It also shifted gears pretty violently from what Bloodbath had been doing, which was giving Intensity ammo for good promos and building a rapport to... well, almost ignoring him. I mean, I get it. What the fuck do you say to a feud that's been going on this long... and it isn't even the first time you guys have done this dance? But it still left the affair feeling underwhelming, as I said earlier. Intensity had some very explosive stuff, but it was short, like the punches The Bride had to do in Kill Bill vol. 2 to break through her coffin. LOTS of story, LOTS of details, LOTS of pathos... iiiiitty bitty living space. I'm being a bit hyperbolic on both accounts, but I want to make clear the specific gulfs I was considering here. I outright ommitted the work I did with The Doctor and the Blade Runners because despite being Intensity's long-time allies I AM the fed-runner and I don't want to come off as using my free time/power to influence victories.

In the end, the creative team reminded me that Bloodbath has been looking incredibly strong this entire feud (for one reason or another) and if this were the last match between them for a while it made more sense to put Intensity over than to nail him to the cross with this hard defeat. Bloodbath walks away not having gotten revenge... but it was more about the Grail in the end for him, it seemed, and he's a figure with enough momentum that he'll be able to roll along from here. Intensity finally gets that win, but the mental torment he received at the hands of McGrath and what he had to do to earn it make us as the question "at what cost?"

Anyway, I've rambled on enough. Hope that feeds your backs some. Let's look toward the pay-per-view.

Thots?

Main Event made my face ache.

Graver is class.

Dai owes Adam an apology/explanation. hide doesn't speak in front of crowds, but I didn't spot the Scott Free promo early enough to explain this. Hey ho. Didn't ruin things for us.

I feel like a jerk for no-showing but I have had a very difficult week. Three straight days of game-casts, including getting up at 9 AM to call three hours of volleyball. My voice is pretty much gone and I am pretty positive I'm getting sick if I'm already not sick as it is.

Apologies to everyone involved. Hope you don't hate me.

"No pointed sticks?" "SHUT UP!!!!
A bit surpised I won against Harrison, esp. where I felt that my video was a bit unsteady in execution. Not surprised that I lost the tag match but I figured I wouldn't win both matches anyway.

Yay, Scott Free! Boo, Bloodbath! I had high hopes going into this KoHG tourney. I really thought Bloodbath would have gone all the way, but a no-show thanks to life happening and then a second straight loss to the man I can't seem to beat flushed my hopes like a dead goldfish. To say it bums me out would be pretty accurate. But, I shall rise again and find something for Bloodbath to do. I feel like he could be the one guy who's had the longest uninterrupted stay in NGIW. I can't think of a single time when he took "time off". He's been around for what? Five, six years now? Damn...

My emotions are running high but my expectations are running low heading into the PPV. I feel like after the Adam Wilson/Lucas Torres title match fallout a couple of years ago, I owe Lita a title win at a PPV. And it seems like she would really like to be the one to shut Scott Free's mouth for good! We'll have to see how this match plays out over the coming week.

Awesome show this week! I wasn't sure if Nathaniel was gonna win against Roxie so that was a pleasant surprise to see he did win...kind of. Lol. By default anyway. But still, for Nathaniel, a win's a win. :p When I came up with the idea for Nathaniel and Bloodbath to strike a deal with one another and pitched it to Adam, I saw it playing a little differently in my head RP-wise but I think the way it did pan out was a lot better than what I had in mind. I had originally come up with an idea for a segment to have in the show sometime between the Nathaniel/Roxie match and the main event but as I was trying to write it, it wasn't turning out well at all so I scrapped it. Looking at the way the result was for the Nathaniel/Roxie match, it likely wouldn't have worked anyway.

Speaking of the main event, that was an awesome match. It'll be interesting to see Mr. Intensity and Nathaniel face off at the PPV considering what's already happened in the tournament and their respective histories with one another.

Everyone did great in their RP's this week. I'm definitely looking forward to the PPV, especially having seen the card for it.
