Short results! Why is it short results? Did you read this thread? You might want to. Next week we should be back to form. That card will go up sometime tomorrow. Obviously I have all the participants and just need to arrange them, but... christ, this and a podcast is all I've done with my weekend.

Anyhow, this was a great week for roleplays! I kind of felt like people weren't into it because the party thread was dominated by only a couple people... but I LOVED the RPs this week! Like... it was hard to pick winners.

It was nice to see what Zer01's up to, but last I checked he's not... like... a valid competitor. Plus Hayden did all KINDS of shit! Awesome!

Cristobal's RP was pretty dern good, but I feel like Joey's had the kind of awesome edge I enjoy about Joey Terrifying. Much more on form than last time.

I loved everything by Roxie this week, but I also feel like Joe got sort of buried in general. Thankfully all the negativity and conflict between Gus and Bloodbath brewed up a good solution where I could reward Joe for AWESOME ideas in his RPs and ALSO... start up new storyline opportunities for EVERYONE. Hooray! But seriously, you guys did great.

Nathaniel and Mike was a tough one. I really liked the effort from both guys. VERY VERY solid... but with the stuff in Mike's RP regarding Cody McGinnis... and I think that can go places. I feel real heat there. And as I've said about a lot of folks lately... I doubt this is the last chance Mike Harrison will have around the title. We have a LOT of good people on the roster right now!

Main event was surprising. I really thought Dai was gonna splode all over the other team, especially with Scott Knight not getting much out... but April and Intensity both had some REALLY FUCKING STRONG stuff and I think they earned the victory.

Anyhow, that's that.

Thots?

I didn't really think mine was very great, because it was the first time I'd played Val in almost seven months. Plus, he's a whole new entity. I think Terrifying using weapons, something he is not used to, will give him a new angle going into the next time he's booked. Good stuffs.

Thank you, I'm glad you picked up on that because I was way too incoherent last night to explain that in the feedback.

Dai had done something very silly to his laptop; but appears to have fixed it for the moment. There may be a better solution, but it involved sorting out my own keyboard shortcuts or something. I can't RP anything longer than about three lines on my phone, and I came within a few megabytes of going over my monthly data on said phone this month.

At any rate, is it too late to get in on the Tag Team night? I know I missed the signup thread and all. Had an idea or two for it.

EDIT: Just read the sign-up thread. Not complaining, although there's still one team missing.

This was one of those times where I wasn't sure if my RP's were gonna be strong enough this week, so I'd definitely like some feedback from anybody and everybody if at all possible. Thanks to Wight for his comments on them so far.

I knew I wanted to have something to push Nathaniel's "businessman" gimmick more so, I tried running with an idea I had for that in the Halloween Party thread but it didn't pan out very well. So, I tried winging it on the Return on Investments RP. Thanks to Lita for adding to that and giving it some direction also. That definitely helped. It would have been cool to get a bit more back and forth between Harrison and Alexander to build things up a bit more but I liked what was there, though.

As for the rest, the Halloween Party thread was fun to read through and see stuff brewing there. The show was good even with the summarized results. Glad Alexander was able to pick up the win and I'm looking forward to what's next.

I'm honestly shocked that April picked up the win for her team. I only RPed her in the Halloween thread and had TONS of fun with her there, but I wasn't sure how it would weigh against the non-Halloween RPs that everyone else seemed to be doing.

I'm gonna echo Nate and say that I would love some feedback from people on April Lynn. I've been slowly progressing her into a different direction and would like to know how it's going over. Thanks. :)

Also, apologies to anyone that I may have offended with Kim Coulter signing them up for the Tag Team Appreciation Night. Not many people seemed to sign up and I thought it'd be a good opportunity for Kim to stir up a little trouble. It's about as close as I think she'll get to being able to run the show and she so loves booking the show to piss certain people off.

Not too happy with three straight losses in a row but somebody had to get pinned, right? I feel like I did this to myself though. A long time ago I opened my big mouth and said I'd be a willing fall guy... put people over and stuff. Stupid past Adam. It's obscenely hard to come back from a losing streak around here when you're caught in the "you lost so you're a loser" role play cross hairs. Hopefully, people will be striving for more originality after Wight's long ass post concerning role play efforts. Here's hoping that tiger pit isn't laying in wait for me out there one the board somewhere. We'll see what this week brings.

I don't know... honestly, if it weren't for Lita and all the stuff she throws my way, I'd have fallen out of love with role playing a long time ago. Seems like months since I've been motivated to really stretch my imagination. I just kind of wedge RP's in when I can so I don't no-show. I make promises to get back on the horse and then I don't deliver because I lack drive or whatever. I think what I need is direct no-holds-barred feed back. Even if it's nasty. Even if it's so nasty that you have to PM it to me for fear of being flanked by everyone and their hate-spamming dog in a public thread. I need direction because I really don't know which way to turn. I'm kind of just hovering around and not making any real plays or moves on anything substantial. So please, folks, spill!

Other than my woes and sorrows, the Halloween thread was pretty rock and roll. Maybe we rolled a few eyes, but Kim/Bloodbath was bound to happen eventually. And I'm glad I had enough of a creative spurt to have apparently lit Lita up like a Christmas tree over it (he says while chuckling). I know some of you fine folk don't like romance stuff or think Lita and I hit the sex stories too often, but fuck it. I was entertained and I'm going to roll with it till I find something else to do. The role plays that I did read outside of the Halloween thread were awesome. I definitely have my favorite characters and I read everything they're involved in. Others... meh. But my opinion counts for little. Mostly because of the US/Canadian currency exchange... I think I'm 0.88 to a full US opinion... but I'm willing to lend it none the less. So Lita and Morpheus can expect something soonish.

>>>EDIT FOR PERSONAL FEEDBACK<<<

Lita: April frustrates me because she has to have the last word, and that's more than likely something you're doing on purpose, so good job. It's working. I see her eventually going the Chester Wynn way of "rational thought" since she's already dismissing this reality and substituting in her own. The thing about April is I don't know of she's a nice girl or if she's just playing nice around the people she likes because when she wants, she can be really mean. Like insulting mean. That's pretty playground coming from a grown man, but that's the best way I can sum up my reactions to some of the work you've done with her. "Damn... that was really mean." And that leaves me wondering if the character is really going crazy like you've been probably working towards, or if she's just ignorant.

Don't get me wrong, I like the character. Like I said above, I have favorites and I read all of their stuff. I read all of April's stuff. Most of my feedback is more then likely coming from my loss to her at Hellraise when I found out whatever I gave up wasn't mature enough. That was honestly a tough bit of feedback to stomach.

Morpheus: Nathaniel Alexander is quickly becoming my favorite guy on the roster. He's clever and can cut deep with just a few words. If he were real, I'd hate his guts because I'm not him. After I got the boot, I was honestly pulling for Alexander in the KoHG. Right now he just kind of floats from opponent to opponent. He needs something to bring me back every week other than clever one liners that put his opponents in their place. A story he can really sink his teeth into. But I want it to be a heel story. If he's in dire financial straits then I'm laughing at him because I hate him. I don't think a heel should ever be in a sympathetic position. He should be ripping off the little guy. Working deals with investors that sees him making money he probably doesn't even need while some working class slobs lose their dental plan or severance pay. Then the uber face stands up for the little guy and they go at it. Sometimes, it's the cliches in life that help tell the best stories because we can relate and sometimes even fantasize about them. Who doesn't want to stick it to a rich snob?

Again, I don't feel like my opinion should count for much. Especially since I can't manage my own characters. But then again, even if you disagree with my opinion at least I got you thinking about things.

Sorry, forgot to bring this up. I had a much grander plan in mind for the tag match but was too tired to even formulate the PM. Anyway, Eve with the mystery partner. As that. :)

I did enjoy writing the Terrifying RP, although I was afraid of getting too close to referring to everyone as "puppets" ala Ultron. Still, it was one of the RPs that helped rekindle my love of the guy. Which reminds me, at some point I gotsta change his theme to the original one I wanted. I'll post that up tomorrow with the new entrance. Or try. So it doesn't seem like I'm purposefully trying to build suspense (because all my entrances suck anyway) but it's this.

At the same time I do tend to feel a little bad writing RPs like that. I'm glad Will doesn't seem upset with it. :)

Personally was a little iffy on the Roxie under the influence RP. Not because of the controversial subject of Roxie taking the drug, just that I didn't think she could be the character to pull it off. Although I did chuckle myself over Mouse and Eve's reaction at the end of it. "Just another day" reaction. The other one was a fun write though and while writing I kept wondering how I could incorporate Mouse and Eve into it. But I figured since Roxie was the highlighted star for her team of the match that it'd be okay. And yay! It was! :) Now Roxie can shove that win down Bloodbath's lizard throat.

As for the matches, I enjoyed the short results as while reading them I had a vomit inducing headache so reading off a lit screen wasn't an ideal bit of fun. Though I did to help unwind from work. So other than that, not much to say. Terrifying being violent is good and tons of drama in the six-person was good also.

In the end, wish I had more energy to have done more in the Halloween thread. Particularly Roxie drooling over Claire's outfit and showing off her own.

Party on,
Joe.

There are two things people need to realize and accept about Kim Coulter:

2. She and Bloodbath McGrath will always cross paths and there will always be an unexplained sexual tension between them. He is a violent wrecking machine that she can turn into a stammering oaf that will probably do whatever she asks him without realizing it until after it's done and he's nervously awaiting approval for his good deed. He's the exact type of individual that a woman like Kim preys on and gets some kind of sick pleasure out of controlling.

1. hide Kitazawa. Did somebody say unexplained sexual tension? hide has a massive hate-on for her and she tends to find some kind of twisted enjoyment in that. She also may or may not have the hots for him. They will always meet up sooner or later and it usually ends with hide foaming at the mouth and wanting to kill a certain blonde who may or may not be human.

Adam: When I originally was concepting up the match I was going to have your team win it. I just wasn't sure how. After some thought and some discussion with the admin team I went with the angle I did for three reasons, which I attempted to convey in my initial post but failed horribly at.

1. I wanted to reward Joe for Roxie's efforts. They were GOOD and Roxie hasn't exactly been on a win streak lately either. I know this is the exact kind of thing I've said I don't wanna do, but the next two reasons FAR outweigh this one, so I made the decision...

2. I don't want this budding Roxie/Bloodbath feud to be like this most recent leg of Bloodbath/Intensity where one side gets squashed so violently through the entire affair that the blow-off match can either ruin a career or end in a terribly stereotypical fashion. Roxie gets a win over Bloodbath because of sketchy things going on with his team. Is it a pure win? Fuck no. But it gives her momentum. I'd like to keep building momentum for both sides so that when the final match draws upon us we can judge it down the middle and whoever wins, wins. I like what you did with Bloodbath and what you've BEEN doing with him. But I also like running a fed where people feel like there are stories to tell and things going on to talk about.

3. I liked the heat between Richlen and Bloodbath and wanted to stoke those fires a bit. While it's a bit silly to add a third wheel to the Roxie/Bloodbath thing, I wouldn't mind having Richlen on the side, as maybe an exit feud for McGrath, or at least a complication he has to deal with in addition to Roxie.

Hope that helps. This has nothing to do with you being a "fall guy" or anything of the sort... except for Zer01, who I was under the impression wasn't made to win matches... especially since everything he writes are tiny, clever haiku that pale in the face of most full-length roleplays.

"Make sure you get my good side, pal."
Hopefully everyone enjoyed my contributions this week. The Halloween thread is always a favorite of mine, simply due to who we can interact with.

The Dream, I think, really got a lot out of this week. There's always some form of animosity between Gus's characters and mine, which might be why we're such great rivals. For the record, Richlen did win the Flycore Title fairly, but Dream's a bitter bastard who refuses to believe he lost fairly. I would've liked to have done more with Scott Free, but I'm not too fussed.

The main thing for Dream was advancement of the story I'm writing out for him. Believe it or not, there is an endgame planned, hopefully in time for the next PPV. Just know that every win and loss do matter to this story, and hopefully it has a satisfying conclusion.

Seto. Ah, Seto. I'm always grateful whenever I role play with Lita, because Seto and Suri as a couple is just fun to write for. We catch up on what Seto's done since his accident, and there's logical progression. I wish the RP cycle was a little longer, just so we could continue writing the story out. I'm curious as to what Suri's response would've been.

Koji gets to be an actual character and made a friend. I'm glad Dai took the initiative and started the side story with Hikou and Koji. Sucks about Dai's computer, since I think a friendship between the two would be fun to explore.

In all honesty, your opinion and pretty much everyone else's here counts for a lot when it comes to Alexander. The fact that he's made fans out of you, Wight, and Lita means I must be doing something right, which makes me feel a whole lot better about my RP's. I do agree that he needs something more to keep his longevity going and keep people coming back week-to-week. I've been trying to make that happen with the matches that he's been involved in but nothing seems to have stuck just yet. The good thing is he seems to have snaked his way through the entire roster to where he's got some sort of history with almost everybody. Bloodbath, Mr. Intensity, April Lynn, hide Kitazawa, Hikou Seikai and several others, just to name a few. So, hopefully with the upcoming cards, I can kick start something with him and his opponents to make something good out of it.

FEEDBACK FOR LITA

I'm pretty sure I've said on several occasions that April Lynn is one of my favorite characters and that still stands now. Like Adam mentioned, she does have some moments where she's being exceedingly nice to people and then, like the flip of a switch, she'll turn around and be exceedingly mean to people. But I like that aspect of her and I feel like that sudden change is exactly what makes the "crazy" gimmick that you're building with her actually work really well. The first thing that comes to mind as a comparison for some reason is when Mickie James first debuted in WWF; she had her gimmick of being a psycho, obsessed fan of Trish Stratus and she'd be exceedingly nice to her but then in the ring and toward other people she was super bitchy and almost childishly angry toward them. Correct me if I'm wrong but I definitely see April going in that direction, which I personally think is a good thing. In short, I really like the direction you're taking April into and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where it goes from here.
