Title: Sonic and the Secret Rings
System: Nintendo Wii
Genre: Platformer/ Action-Adventure
ESRB Rating: E - Everyone

Though most 3D sonic games haven't been that good this one is actually pretty fun. they decided to take out the roaming part and just concentrate with the speed element (which i think is a good idea). Although the controls take a little getting used to, it would take about half an hour to get the hang of the game.you control sonic wiimote by holding the wiimote sidways, and the 2 button is the jump button. Sonic moves forward on his own so you just have to concentrate on attacking and jumping. You attack by basicly jumping which locks you on to a target and the you move the wiimote forward to do a homing attack. The graphics arnt half bad either. some of the scenes look pretty cool. the only bad thing i have to say about this game is the minigame mode. its like mario party on drugs. they should have just left it out.

The story starts out with sonic meeting up with a geni (i forget her name at the moment). She asks you to help save the world of the story book she lives in called the arabian nights. The storys of the book are disapearing and an evil geni called the eraser jin is behind it. Along the way you meet with him and he puts a curse on you which limits the time you have to do you missions (which dosnt affect how you play its just part of the story i guess). To stop him you need to gather 7 secret rings, kinda like the chaos emeralds of past sonic games.

overall i liked this game, i give it a 7.5/10
