Pokémon Battle Revolution I figured I should do a review, lol.... First, some background. Pokémon Battle Revolution is the first Pokémon game for the Wii. It takes place on an island called Poketopia, where you can battle in a number of colosseums. That's literally about it..... I'll start with the good things. The major thing about this game is that you can use your d/p pokes to fight in the colosseums. This makes it a lot more fun than using the rentals they give you. Additionally, there is EXTENSIVE (capitalized for a reason) customization available for your character. You choose one of 6 basic templates, and from there you can use numerous different gloves, shirts, hair colors, etc. Also, the game has pretty good wifi, with a feature that allows you to randomly battle people from around the world. Granted, it's a little laggy (or maybe just for me, but I do believe my wifi is very good), but that doesn't change the fight much, due to the nature of the game. Also, the new and improved graphics look very nice as you watch your Pokes pound others into submission. Now for the disadvantages. Probably the #1 problem with the game is that, in several ways, it is a step taken back. Unlike its predecessors (Pokémon Stadium, PS2), battling is the only thing you can do. There are no other features, such as minigames, Gym Leader Castle, etc, as there were in the N64 titles. And, on top of that, this is not an RPG (as Colosseum and XD were), so don't expect anything like that. One other important point to remember is that you do not get very many rentals. You only get 36 (6 parties), which is nothing compared to the even 149 on Pokémon Stadium. Overall, this was a game that could've done better, and I think all Nintendo was trying to do was get d/p on the big screen. They did a very good job of that, and if you have d/p, you will enjoy this game very much. If you don't, you may not want to get this game. But considering that those of you who would want this game already have d/p....not too many problems there. Graphics: 9/10 Soundtrack: 9/10 Controls: All it is is pointing and clicking....kinda hard to rate that =p Gameplay: 7/10 (overall....this rises in conjunction with d/p) Final Score: 8/10 |

Interesting review. Work on your scores, though. I may consider this game when I get a Wii. No guarantees, though. |

How so? I gave you the best ones I could. There really isn't a lot to rate about this game. |
