I believe he means a narrow point of view... Perhaps the alternative is to say, one-sided... I had the urge to say "Bi-Polar" here... |

Oh ok. Well the whole point of this topic is to hear what the people have to say about the ad. If you have a different view, by all means share it. I'd love to hear. |

Well, when you say "Sony sure knows its audience" it implies a negative background opinion against Sony's systems prior to seeing the ad. And that means insulting Battlefront and Peace Walker. This is probably just a bold attempt to use overdramatization (maybe I just invented a word, whatever) to catch the attention of the younger audience. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This probably won't, especially with the 3DS incoming. |

Ah ok. I actually saw the ad prior to making my opinion. I'm not familiar with Battlefront or peacewalker. But by "Sony knows its audience" I meant that Sony realizes that its audiences are usually wanna be gangsters. Kids, & adults, who think they are too cool for gaming yet believe that Sony is a better/mature gaming, prolly due to graphics or peer pressure. In a sense this PSP Marcus is almost like Chad Warden. Marcus insults the white male's i Phone game saying "that ain't built for big boy games." Its a common tactic used by Sony fan boys. They put down others saying that the games are for babies and not "real men." Now I"m not generalizing all Sony fans. I know not all Sony fans & gamers are like that. But alot are. This ad just played of this. To further convince these ppl who think like Marcus that if your a "big boy" then you choose Sony. |

Star Wars: Battlefront and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Much of the Battlefront series has been on the PSP, and Peace Walker was incredibly high-rated, another excellent installment in the MGS series. But yeah, truth of the matter is, people who want the PSP think it has more mature (and "better") games than the DS. And that's basically the only way they can win at anything, especially since the PSP Go is utterly inferior to the 3DS. |
