Got the 1/6 scale jeep ready for the GTG, added dual ESCs. We will see if there is any difference without the front axle stall.

I almost like it better with the single ESC. I will probly switch it back. the axle stall is still there at low speeds, it just moved from the front to the rear, weird!

How did you wire the dual ESCs? Just off a Y harness? Or did you run each ESC on its own channel? I thought about doing the seperate channel thing but then figured it might be hard to keep them running at the same speed a lot and you could never drive it on asphault because there would be some serious drive train problems.

You are running mag mayhems with what pinions and esc? an EVX? 6 cell battery? I couldn't believe how fast that thing was at the gorge.

I run MagMayhems, LRP F1 Pro ESC, dual 6 cells on a Y-harness (7.2v), and stock 13t pinions.

I had the dual ESCs on a Y-harness. I will switch it back to the single ESC, I don't want to run a 4 channel just to use the dual ESCs.

Does it help to run the EVX? Would I still have axle stall?

Not sure that is why I'm asking :D

I have a set of clod axles and a nylint body and was thinking of building up something. I have an EVX and two 55t motors so I figured I would run those. I'm sure they'll be slow.

so your batteries are running in parallel so they are still 7.2v total voltage just double capacity?

In my clod crawler I had last year I ran a tekin rebel 2 with (2) 55t lathe motors but I was running 8t pinions and on 8 cells. I had basically no stall at all but I think that is because it was so easy for the motors to turn over the wheels.

I'd be curious to see if you get a lot of stall with the EVX..... I'll be trying it soon. The clod I just got is a super clod and hte guy was running 55t lathes with 9t pinions and 40 series tires with the evx and he never complained about stall.

If you want chassis plates made, let me know. I still have the template from my chassis.

I have been playing with the idea of a tuber too. I never get around to doing it. Some day maybe.

I hear ya there. I lived in an apartment just until the other day (finally got moved into a house) so now that I have a garage and basement I am going to give it a go. I tested a few times and I can do it, I just haven't had the space to use the stuff.
