PART ..DOS! I know I said I'd only do the arranged/random team strategy, well I lied.. GET OVER IT!. You can stop worrying cause I'm doing that one now. Footman are kind of...bad in a game 3-4 players on the other team. So one may ask, "wut do i maek?" .. Probably exactly like that. MAKE MEN WITH RIFLES! ..err DWARVES! Might have trouble recalling how I do my rifle build at the moment, I haven't done it in awhile. Nope, I remembered. Your starting build order should be almost the same, but not the same. Instead I do 2 peasants on the mine and 2 peasants on wood, the other to make the altar. Wait to make the farm until you've made 1 1/2 peasants. When your making peasants, just keep rallying them to the gold mine until you have 5, it takes a bit of lumber to make rifles. So the second I hit 110 lumber, I start the blacksmith and when i get that 10 more for the barracks, then I start it. (Smith costs 60, same with barracks). It should time out perfectly so your smith and barracks are done at nearly the same moment. 11-12 peasants works with this build, anymore is a little overbored (yes I said that, because I'm over..bored...) Arcane tower is absolutely necessary, if your playing a team game, a lot of kids plot this thing called a hero rush...They think they can win the game on it, but when they play me they usually lose more units than what they actually brought to me. DON"t BE BAD WITH THE ARCANE TOWER! FOCUS THE HEROES WITH IT. If no heroes are in range, focus the summons because it does extra damage to them also. Tower kills don't give EXP, so if you can last hit units with your hero, do that, do it now. Yet again, I would recommend Archmage with this build, its not necessary since you'll be doing full damage with rifles, lots of it.. You could get the holy lightin' paladin, or the mountain king. My personal favorite, the tinker, but don't get him unless you know how to use him very well. So I usually just keep making rifles keeping your food level high enough while upgrading them, I usually have 7-8 before the dumbass enemy attacks. Thats when I start my tech, but if they never attack, use your best judgment when to tech.. (do it when you can in other words) In this case, if you decide to attack, bring along maybe three peasants, remember to replace them. Militia them and bring them with your army and make towers at their base when you start to attack. Doesn't always work, but can help guarantee a win. Fast expo works well with any human strategy, if you feel you can do it and have the time to do it, do it. I hope you watched my replay showing you how to do it, but only that beginning part because the rest of that game was bad. (More inclined to watch it now right?) TIER 2 So once I would get to mah keep, I usually get an arcane sanctum and a workshop. If I have an expo I'll get an aviary. That way I'll have all four production buildings and will be able to quickly counter with whatever units I need. To start off though, I would only make sorceress at the sanctum, and mortar teams at the workshop. Make sure you get the damage upgrades, well only if you like seeing units exploding. (I sure as hell do) Your really open to get whatever units you feel you need with this build. So if the opponent is massing casters, you can switch to breakers and morts, to just destroy them. Again, they mass air, you mass gyros/hawks. I'll have to make a replay in this thread, so I am going to go own some kids today in 4s. I mean if you think about it, the sorceress slow the units down for the mortar teams making them seem deadly accurate. You could honestly do the "INVISIBLE MORTARS" strategy with this, which is kind of funny and dumb at the same time. You just use the sorceress to make 7-8 mortars invisible along with your hero, and appear in the back of your enemies base and focus their main building or other important structures. You would then, TP out once they found out wtf was going on. The main point is to scout, if you know what your opponent is making and start pumping units to counter them, you WILL win. Make sure you tell your teammates, "so and so is massing wind riders, so make a lot of anti air" I'm not done with this, but I am for now. ALSO, if you want to see a tinker dominate...I'll show you. Or you could just ask Osh. THX! Heres a replay, will add more seeing as I just started playing again! http://tft.replayers.com/index.php?action=view&id=114235 Edited by AvengeR., Nov 18 2008, 01:25 PM.
