It really is fairly common sense, I haven't read the whole book yet, as I haven't had time, but it basically says the basics of war, know your ground, know your enemy, know your troops. Not too useful for strategy games, at least not the "Know your ground" part, as most games height and other factors don't play enough of a factor to make a difference, although it can occasionally. You aught to know your troops anyways, otherwise you would probably lose by not build the right unit to counter your enemies stretgy. And knowing your enemy, as usual is the tricky part, but that requires scouting. All in all though, the Art of War is pretty much common sense in my opinion. |
