Now I know this might sound stupid, that people in public WC3 Rps are generally stupid, but TRUST ME. It will teach you alot of tips and tricks. For example, I learned how to make a character look like it's going in slow motion. Or a fire that looks cooler than the premade ones... If you want to build better, and even slightly RP better, do this. Also, be UTTERLY random. Alot of you like to always use one character, one set plot line, and tweak it to make it sound good. Well, you see, if you clear your head of that RP for a moment, look back at other Rps, look at other people's Rps, look at TV, look at Video games, and most importantly, look at real life, you will see fantastic ideas. Take for example, I've been noticing the...News. I thought about these...Murders, Crimes of passion especially. Ideas have been popping into my head. Finally, HAVE FUN FFS. Rps these days tend to become more and more...Involved. People take things seriously, or change themselves so that things go their way. Well guess what? Thats not RPing, thats godmodding. Learn to go with the flow, and you'll have 10x more fun in an RP. Believe me, it works.

Yesterday I saw a movie that really got me thinking. Cloverfield. Now... How the hell does a monster rampaging New York get someone thinking, exactly? Well, what more could possibly be said about that story? What about other people in Manhattan and their stories? What happens after? What happened before? People keep releasing their stories about how it the events were related to the accident with Slusho (read up on it?) but still... it got me wondering about an idea to make a sort of Cloverfield rp? Maybe a different monster and different background to what happened, but imagine (and pardon my language) a HUGE ass creature destroying everything in its path... what the hell would YOU do? Or even better, what would your character do? So let's see those hands... good idea or no?

Posts: 8 Group: Members Member #73 Joined: February 3, 2008	When you rp there'll be the big decision you'll have to make. 1. Epic city and let wanderers/ other guys come and make rp for you. 2. Build that generic little camp and be lame hero/villain. 2 can be justified as long as you got a good story to back up, or at least a good character. Always be creative or try to :P. Generic characters are not fun, nor do they ever make the rp interesting, their actions are usually very predictable. Which simply becomes a game of "Finish my sentence". I usually build something compact but epic and try to have an interesting story. But the thing is that in the long run; we must have wanderers or initators. Or else everyone will be wanking off in their own little place.
